We have tried four other pest control companies and by far Ranger is the best. Yes, their website may currently be somewhat devoid, but don't let that deter you from using them. We have been using their services for over 2 years at our previous residence in Round Rock and were so pleased to find out that we can continue with their great service since we have now moved to Georgetown. Ranger has always provided us with honest, reliable, courteous and professional service. That goes from the front office down to every technician that has come out. No matter what the problem may have been--- roaches, ants, spiders, scorpions, silverfish, pill bugs or millipedes--- they readily got rid of the unwanted guests. We also had a rat problem in the attic of our previous home which was short-lived thanks to Ranger. The did the full house inspection and presented an eradication plan which included identifying the rat species, locating and sealing all their entry points, setting bait traps, monitoring the progress and removing all the "deceased". Ranger's action and tactics were immediate and with purpose, so by the end of week two no more rat problem. Their quote was quite reasonable and that was exactly the price I paid. Every technician sent out to us has been great. I have to give credit in particular to Courtney Morris, who is exceptional. She is courteous, respectful, professional, personable and possesses a wealth of knowledge which she is willing to share. She always calls in advance of her appointment, removes her shoes or puts on the protective shoe cover, explains exactly what she is going to do, asks you where you would like her to begin the treatment, if you have any questions or concerns and if you have experienced any particular pest issue. At our previous home she took the time to show me how to identify the difference between a winged ant and a winged termite, why termites swarm and that swarming is the sign of mature termite colony (not good). Luckily the specimen she examined turned out to be a winged ant. I am so glad she is our technician at our new home in Georgetown. I have noticed an unwanted visitor in our garage which appears to a species of cockroach but I'm not sure, since it is different from what I am used to seeing and quite small. Two words: BED. BUGS. These are not a myth. They are real and awful. I can handle the occasional spider, cockroach, etc. with relatively casual bravado, and but these things are so sneaky and evil and hide and itch and carry such a stigma...the worst pest I could think of happening to me, happened this past May in my tiny Austin apartment. Who knows where they came from, but John from Ranger got rid of them. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and did the job with amazing efficiency, he went so far above and beyond to come for free to my place of employment and my boyfriend's house, to do inspections and make sure I hadn't inadvertently spread the foul things. IF YOU HAVE BEDBUGS...do not screw around. Call Ranger ASAP and ask for John. He knows his stuff and will be ridiculously thorough. I have been with Ranger Termite & Pest Control since March 2015. What I like most about their service is that they know how to fix whatever issue you are facing. I mostly just have ant issues or the little spiders in my Pflugerville location. They really get creative if you have to call them for a follow up, because let's be honest they don't want to have to keep coming back either. They know how to get the job done! I have really enjoyed working with Courtney - she is friendly, always on time, efficient. It's nice to see a familiar face each time. Ranger is consistent with the same technicians unless you need a follow up on short notice and your regular go to person is already booked. Courtney also knows to call me when no one answers the door so we never miss a beat! I don't know about you, but it irks me when someone says they came by and you weren't home (when someone was home and just didn't hear the doorbell), yet they never call. NOT the case here. we literally have had zero issues. Ranger updated their systems so I get text alerts and email notifications (I requested both) plus automated billing which is convenient. I have had trouble with squirrels and raccoons getting in the crawl spaces and in between floors of our house causing damage and making noise. Our HOA uses Ranger and for a year or so I have been unimpressed with their ability to derive solutions and follow through. I was looking for a company to partner with me rather than just charge me for their labor. After complaining about the problem reoccurring , I wrote a note of displeasure and Ranger followed up by sending a different employee. Anthony was AWESOME ! He really cares about the quality of his work and wants the customer to feel like he is trying to find a solution. He spent most of an entire day trying to "solution" the problem. Then he discussed it with me; he asked me what I thought; and then he put a plan in motion which included sealing up the side of the house in a much more thorough way than had been done previously as well as putting out "cage " traps. He texted me each day to give me the latest results and asked me for feedback. He checked on his work each day and followed up. I recommend Anthony highly. read more

We HAD bed bugs!! We wouldn't have known if our daughter hadn't seen 7 one night. She very casually mentioned the next day that she saw 7 brown bugs in her bed and when she squashed them, they were really bloody. I showed her a photo of a bed bug and she undoubtedly said, " yes! that's what they look like." I totally freaked out, my world came to a screeching halt. My husband and I found that Ranger Termite had the BEST yelp reviews. So we called and John "the bed bug guy" was a able to come out that morning! It was confirmed, we had bed bugs. He approximated that they had been here about two months or so. John really knows his stuff. He took care of the bed bugs and at our two week follow up are now in the clear. Excellent company to work with. I recently closed on the purchase of my house, which was built in 1999 and hadn't been treated for pests since, and before I could move in, the fire ants had to move out! To this end, I called Ranger and Jason came out. He showed up right on time and ready to roll. I was very happy with the thorough walk-through of my home, during which he pointed out several things about which I hadn't previously been aware (a hole in one corner of the house that needed to be patched, ground cover that may provide cover for insects looking to invade the house, etc.). Jason then performed a very thorough treatment of the house and now instead of seeing red ants, all I see are dead ants. We had Ranger Termite come out to give us a second opinion on an issue in which another company called "termites." Jerod from Ranger came out and it was quite clear he knew what he was talking about with his many years of experience. He let us know it absolutely was not termites and we just felt comfortable signing up with them for continued maintenance. They have not disappointed at all and in fact have exceeded our expectations. We see more dead bugs now than with the previous service. Yesterday Jerod came out which would be an in between service for no charge when I noticed large ants going up the side of the house. Even though when he came out they were not active, he quickly realized where they were coming from which was about 15 feet from the house and he got that taken care of. After trying to resolve our problem ourselves,we found Ranger Pest on Yelp and based on their wonderful reviews, called for service. Rats had invaded our attic! Disgusting and horrid!John H of Ranger came out and did an inspection and provided a detailed proposal complete with drawings on how he could resolve our issue. I was immediately impressed by his being on time, knowledge and friendly courtesy. We hired John for the job. He spent hours trimming trees away from the roof and securely patching access points, several that we had missed. Traps were strategically placed. After two follow up visits by John, we are rat free. I mean this as a compliment, the guy really knows his rats.....how they move about, eat, react....just call him the Rat Whisperer! Such a nice guy, I will his visits. read more

This is a most unusual business. I called to get a second estimate on a termite problem that I THOUGHT I had. After receiving an estimate from a nationwide company that was well advertised and highyl respected ....I found out I don't even have termites. Ranger came out and spent quite a bit of time inside and outside of my home only to tell me there was no activity found. They could have lead me to believe I had a problem since I told them I did but instead was honest and informative. They didn't even charge me for the inspection. I am very happy and satisfied with Ranger. I used another pest control company earlier this year and even though they came to my house twice, I still had cockroaches and spiders in my home. The ones that give you nightmares! Ranger just came out one time and for the past 3 months, nothing! We were very pleased with Zek Finley with Ranger Termite and Pest Control who showed up on time, and professionally with identification. He thoroughly serviced my house, utility and yard. He noticed a second story window frame that had carpenter ants that I had never seen. Zek handled the situation and gave information about how to monitor and to find the source before they moved locations. We've been customers for about 20 years. Technicians ALWAYS professional and thorough. We've had different vermin get into the attic, most recently entering through HVAC pipes and dying inside the walls. We've learned about trapping rodents and eliminating the stench from a dead animal, all with Ranger's help. Connor found and fixed the recent rodent entry site. All this with a metal roof, Hardiplank eaves and Critter Ridder exclusion treatment. For us, still reasonably priced. They have been great for us in a 5500 sq ft house surrounded by trees. read more

John Chatham's knowledge of pests and pest control is encyclopedic. He can answer any question about specific pest issues authoritatively then put in place an effective solution. In addition, John is a very personable and polite technician. He is careful to wear booties before entering our home and endures the fence gate and garden shed are locked after he completes the yard and outside treatments. Jarrod was good to deal with, he showed up EARLY and called ahead to see if it was OK. He gave me a brief termite lesson and proceeded with the treatment which meant cutting a hole next to the bathtub. He told me they usually come in through the sand trap under the tub being they are primarily underground critters. He got it done quick and did NOT try to sell me a contract for anything else. I would highly recommend these guys, the other BIG companies did not even return my call. If I have any more issues I am going with Ranger! read more

Dorian was very professional, friendly, and competent when assessing what needed to be done in my attic. I had been hearing noises in my attic and thought perhaps a squirrel had gotten in. Dorian came to my home, went into the attic, and set traps. He also sealed up all possible entries into my house via my attic. After reading Cory's last post 3 months ago, I can see why he was on time. Today on 183, my roommate and I where being tailgated by the Ranger Truck. We had to exceed 15 miles over the speed limit just to let him pass. If you love the children in your neighborhood, don't hire him. As he may speed down your road and kill your kid or your neighbors kid One Star for bad judgement. No stars for service since I haven't used them or will.
