The crowd tends to be on the geriatric side age-wise, and suburban (nothing wrong with that). The place looks like it has gone through an intensive and extensive renovation. It's a small-scale sauna, with a small steam room, a small dry sauna and a Jacuzzi that barely fits three people. It has two video rooms, one with mainstream gay adult videos, the other, strangely, has transsexual porn. It also has a dark room where a lot of things happen; rubbers and lube are available. You get a free bottle of water or a free coffee included in the admission fee, and there are other snacks available for sale. The place is extremely clean, it has a few cabins for private activity, lockers, and free parking. It opens at noon, and that's when the first ave of customers come to "relax" during their lunch time, the second wave is after 5pm . Do not expect young, taut and muscular things, rather get ready for a parade of dad bods ready to play. The customer service is friendly, particularly the older, short, gray-haired receptionist. It's an alternative if you're not into the tattooed and pierced crowd you see in Montreal, like I said, the crowd is made up mostly by playful grandpas, lustful dads and everything in between. I'd give it five stars if they got rid of the transsexual porn (quite frankly, it's weird and a turnoff) and replace it with more gay-themed videos or at least some bi fun, to cater to every taste.

Would highly recommend the service and ESPECIALLY requesting Anthony as your host! Not only was he always available if you needed him, he was at every location, walked us in, took us to the next spot, and gave great advice. He made sure we were always all accounted for and would always steer us in the right direction. He is extremely flexible and very accommodating. At one point, we completely pulled a 360 and changed venues. Not only did he deliver last minute on a great table, but made sure we didn't owe anything to the other location we cancelled. Anthony is the perfect host and couldn't have had such a great weekend without him. He took out all the stress and made the whole experience one giant party!

Tucked away in an otherwise wiped red light district, Cafe Cleo is (in my humble opinion) one of…read morethe most important adult entertainment institutions in Montreal. Why does it still stand? Good question! In the 2000s while the city was busy expropriating other red light businesses in the area, Cafe Cleo was the only business that stood up to the gentrification of the area. The expropriation case was brought to the supreme court and it was ruled, in Cafe Cleo's favour, that a city can not displace one private interest (aka a strip club) in favour of another private interest (i.e. fancy pants quartier des spectacles businesses). After the expropriation was overruled, the city finally allocated all of the building permits they had been denying to the business (in an effort to render it to the point of demolition) and kindly suggested they upgrade the building while the rest of the neighbourhood was getting fancier. You'll be happy to know they've kept the gritty, occasionally sticky, glory of the place to this day. The club continues, on the first floor, to bring in the biggest diversity of dancers and some of the more reasonable covers for the city. On the top floor you'll find the wildest acts in the city- House of Laureen and Glam Glam being two of my favourite groups to perform. As others have mentioned, Cafe Cleo is one of the only performance spaces that allows full nudity- for drag, burlesque and vaudeville, that's a big deal. Finally, the upper venue is almost entirely run by trans and queer folks and it's been that way for a long time: I can't emphasize how important that is. Long live Cleo.
