We have generally brought our dogs to ENV for grooming in the summer months when we visit SFe. It took a little longer than usual to get an appointment because of covid. Nevertheless, our dog was last groomed 6 weeks ago. When I picked up my dog, I found that they had cut her ears all the way to the leather and shaved all the hair off her ears claiming her hair was matted. It wasn't matted, she is groomed monthly and we brush her ears. More importantly, I didn't give them permission to shave my dog's ears making her look freakish. I will never go back. Odd that a groomer would do such a thing without calling first. There are other more capable groomers in Santa Fe. read more

After a disastrous experience (seriously, read my review) at our previous dog groomer, we tried ENV on a recommendation from someone at our doggie day care. I am SO glad I followed the recommendation. My Labradoodle and I arrived when they opened, and the gentleman at the front desk spent a lot of time with me as I described exactly what I wanted, showed him pictures, etc. I figured he would think I was crazy, but then he showed me how they keep detailed notes on each animal they groom, so they can do the exact same groom each time, or tweak it according to the owner's desires. When I picked up my buddy a few hours later, I was so thrilled to see him. He looked better than he's ever looked-----even better than the photos I'd left with them. They even took the time to carefully trim his face to show off his 2 inch eyelashes. Sweet! AND.....the price was less than Barks and Bubbles. After my last experience there, I will never go back to B&B. Everyone we came in contact with at ENV was super-friendly, from the first phone contact to pick up. Bloody Dog/ Bloody Upholstery all for only $82! My first, and last, visit to PetENV went as follows: I took my dog Rosie to PetENV on January 8th, 2013. 82 dollars later I had a dog with a bloody paw, blood on my car upholstery, and no response from PetENV although I tried to speak to the owner/manager. She was "busy" and was supposed to call me back. Never happened. Worst of all, it took me two days to get my dog back into the car. I guess she was worried we were heading back to PetENV. So disappointing. Carl was nice when taking the appointment and upon drop off and pick up. But when I got my dog home, I realized she hadn't been groomed well at all. She was shedding like crazy. It didn't even look like she had a haircut, only a bath. I had to spend an hour with the furminator to remove all of the hair. It seems Carl bathed her but neglected to give her a haircut. I drove back to discuss, because he during answer my calls or texts. The door was locked, even though it was 4pm and within business hours. I paid $115 and tipped on top of that. Today after a horrible experience at Paws Plaza, I called ENV. They were happy to help me with my half dried dog and give her a trim, brush her teeth, and trim her nails. They were knowledgable about her coat, took the time to get to know us, and above all had amazing products for Roxy. Roxy was calm and sparkly when I came to pick her up. We recently moved to the area from Phoenix, where we had a great groomer. We have two Great Danes, so I am picky about the groomers we take them to because I want my dogs to enjoy their experience (as much as they can) without being so frightened that they never want to go back. I had taken them to get a bath somewhere else and wasn't so impressed. I tried ENV and my dogs and I both were happy with the results. It was a bit more than what we paid in Phoenix but when it comes to grooming, I have found out you get what you pay for. We will definitely be going back! read more

First the good. The haircut my dog received was fine. Now the bad. I asked for hypo allergic shampoo and no perfume. My dog smelled perfumey for days and days. But the worst was how long it took. Six hours for a 10 pound dog with short hair. They claimed their computer went down a couple of weeks prior to our appointment. Although they did have our appointment they were missing lots more. So my poor pup had to wait until last. Huh? He was SO thirsty when we got home. He also had to pee like a race horse. Obviously they ignored him. I told him he was nervous since he was a rescue. Didn't offer a discount or anything for the hassle or wait. Never again. read more

I take my Labrador to ENV about twice a month to get her nails trimmed. She was nervous at first, but Carl was very patience with her. He takes his time and does a great job. He has never pinched a nail, or made her uncomfortable at all. He always gets us in when she need a trim. The place is clean, and peaceful. I was very happy to find ENV! I would like all dog owners in Santa Fe to know about ENV. My golden retriever dog was picked up yesterday after a grooming and she looks the best she's ever looked. She looks like she's ready for the Westminster Dog Competition! Her furr has never been more soft and shiny. The trimming of her paws, tail and fringe is classic golden retriever style that only makes her look more beautiful. The staff at ENV are professional and courteous. The phone is answered by a knowledgable, pleasant person who expresses genuine care for knowing what you want and learining about your particular dog. ENV facility is clean and organized. ENV is an exception to the standard Santa Fe "out to lunch" service that I've almost become accustomed to accepting. I am thrilled to have found ENV and will definitely be a repeat customer. Started with telling them that our dog wasn't used to being around other people. Told that it wasn't a problem and that they worked with rescues all the time. When we picked her up we were told she received a bath and light brushing. (She was put in for a bath, a full brushing, nails, the works.) They said her behavior was the problem and so they didn't try to dry or do the nails or finish the brushing. Charged $6 less than what was quoted. So i have a bathed, lightly brushed dog for over $75. If I wanted a crappy, half-assed job, I would have done it myself! read more
