I made an appointment with Holly for an eyebrow wax and she fit me into her schedule. The front desk staff was super friendly when I walked in & they asked who I was there to see and got Holly right away. I did not wait long, she took me to the back right away. She asked questions about what I wanted, how long I had grown them and we talked about a bunch of other stuff that wasn't eyebrow related. She gave my eyebrows the shape they needed and tamed all the other craziness. She did mention that she ONLY waxes eyebrows, just in case you want something else did! She also used to wax for the benefit brow bar, so I'm pretty sure she's gotten some 'prestige' brow training. read more

When she did my hair it looked amazing ! Amy was talkative very fun to sit with; BUT I asked if I could get in the pool and hot tub and she said yes if I wet my hair first, I did and after one swim all of my silver is brown. Hmm... I'm torn on how to write this review. I went in to get my hair permed with the Japanese straightening system. I had read online that Taji did this and I believe he's the only one I found in town. He is the nicest man ever and will treat you like a princess. Love him!!! He tried his best to fix my perm but I'm very disappointed it didn't work. I paid $350 + tip and had to go in two additional times to get it "fixed" and my hair still looks like it did before I got it done but it'ls less frizzy. I feel like I crumpled up $400 and threw them away. I've had this process done twice before in Koreatown and both times worked so I know it's not my hair that won't take to the system. The salon is clean and everyone looks nice. They offer you water or other beverages as well and there is Salon specific parking right in front of it. read more

BRANDY K!!!! She's the best ever! I had my hair weaved color and cut and style! She did it exactly how I tried to describe....lol but much better and she is very affordable. When I called her I told her my regular hairdresser couldn't do it and I can't wait till the 11th of July. And it's my bday on the 6th So Brandy came in on her day off. She was packing her family two very young baby's for 10 days (lucky her!) My hair turned out amazing! I love it so much. Perfect contrast. She does make up to!! Just got A full set of acrylics, pink and white, done by Bonnie. She did a good job but when she did my back fill, I wasn't happy with it.

I went in not really knowing what I wanted to have done to my hair and the hair. The hairstylist I saw gave me a pretty good hair cut. So what is the reason for so few stars? 1. The hair stylist did a very minimal consultation. As a first time customer looking for a new hair stylist I was barely greeted and she didn't introduce herself. She took me directly back to get my hair shampooed without looking at my hair prior to see about texture etc. I stated that she could cute up to 2" off the length and she just started cutting from there without further discussion. 2. I was not greeted upon arrival or really at any other part of my visit. When I go to get my hair cut I am looking to somewhat be pampered and this was not the case. My stylist barely conversed/ tired to converse with me my entire appointment...instead there was silence.AWKWARD! Needless to say even though the cut was good I won't be returning...at least not that stylist. read more

I'm just in an awe of this salon and how the two owners Nancy and Rachel are so dedicated to offering the cutting edge education to everyone who works there. 3 weeks ago they had offered for my son to be a demo model for a new product called SURFACE that they were introducing. My son is 22 yrs old and has thinning hair due to all over alopecia. This is Week 3 and he has been applying the product as instructed and I'm already starting to notice subtle results in the thickness and excited to see more hair growth. Hair growth takes time and he is being very patient. The salon has been following up to see the chances he is experiencing. Love how dedicated and caring they are for their clients. My husband bought me a gift card to Envy Salon for my birthday and I was so excited to try out a new spot!! The two services that I sought and received were a facial and a spa pedicure. My first visit ended with me not sure that I would return, but since I had more than $100 left to spend I decided to give them another try. The first visit was for a facial, which was difficult to schedule in the first place. The front desk did not seem to have the Skin Care Specialist's schedule on hand, so I was given a separate phone number and told to call the girl myself to schedule the appointment. I know that people rent space from the salon owner and most of the employees "own" their services, but I have never had to make a separate call, leave a message and have a call returned just to schedule a simple salon treatment. When my call was returned the next day, the girl did not have her schedule with her, and had to call me back again later. WOW (and I'm not even at the salon yet...) My impression of the salon itself was that the staff was decently friendly, the girl in the front area was welcoming, and the place was definitely cute. The one and only GREAT thing I will say about this place is that this facial (the actual skin treatment) was one of the best that I have ever received, and that has everything to do with the girl that did the service. She was awesome. What was NOT awesome was the fact that as I was getting my facial, it was loud. By loud, I mean the cars driving by on the road 5 to 10 yards from the window, and the people right outside the door drinking wine, carrying on like a bunch of Jr. Highers at lunch time, getting their hair washed and being super annoying. Although I have no problem with people drinking and having fun and being LOUD, there is usually a time and a place for certain activities, and I had no idea that while I was supposed to be getting a relaxing facial I would feel like I was hanging out at R.J.'s. The girl giving me the facial created a nice, relaxing environment inside the room with nice candles and soft music, but she certainly could not control what was going on outside. I would definitely get another facial from her, but not if I had to have it done @ this location. On my second visit, which was for a pedicure, the girl was 15 minutes late to the appointment. I understand that salons can easily get behind schedule during a busy day, but I was her very first client of the day. I was actually at the salon before her and was offered no apology or explanation of why she was late. I guess her time was way more valuble than mine. During routine salon conversation she found out that it was my second visit and I was there because of a gift card from my husband. She did not even try to hide her obvious annoyance with my method of payment and proceeded to tell me no less than THREE times that the salon takes a flat fee off of their service(that somehow comes out of their pocket) when a client pays with a gift card. I don't see how this is my problem, and if she is upset about this policy, she should take it up with the management, not bitch about it to the customers. The pedicure itself was okay, routine even, definitely not worth the $55 I paid. Quite frankly I get a much better pedicure and foot/leg message for $20 at the little chop shop that I usually go to, and the people there are MUCH friendlier. When I left, I just used the balance of my gift card money to buy product from this place, because I will definitely never be going to this place again. read more
