I don't like to leave reviews as everyone is entitled to an off day, but this salon is something else in bad quality and in taking damaging short cuts while doing manicures. When my nail technician left town I tried many salons and finally decided to use Diva given that they are listed as the best nail salon in Bakersfield and their high rating . I used their services about 6 times for structured gel manicures which they told me they did. I was a bit taken back by the owners supercilious attitude but brushed it aside to get what I wanted: structured gel. It turned out that they did not use structured gel but used hard gel which is a different product all together. . A big difference in application and removal. Their technique is so damaging ! Look the craters they dug in my nail bed! There are 6 of them craters along the nail length on each of my finger nails. This is extremely damaging to nails and gives rise to fungal infection. Also Nail filing was so badly done that one finger had sharp nail edge digging in by finger causing me a lot of pain and one finger the nail had to be rebuilt with gel to keep the shape. So in a nutshell, I did not get the product I requested, the service was terrible and damaging and the vibe was horrid. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL USING THEIR SERVICES and STAY WELL AWAY. Stopped by for my first time today, around 10am. They took me in as a walk in. My wait time was about 15 minutes. Upsides: they use new tools every time, so sanitation is on par. The staff is super friendly, nice and works hard. The prices are great! They offer many different services, and even unique designs for your nails. Downsides: very, very limited gel colors, $1 charge for credit/debit. The limited gel colors is the reason I gave it 3 stars... It's 2019 and gel is used at every nail salon. The few colors they have are from second rate brands and I really hope they update the available colors. read more

I definitely received 5 star service from Mandy today!! I have been getting my last few manicures from a salon in fresno but i needed to find somewhere locally. Being the Yelper that i am i did my research and finally decided on Diva Nails i messaged them through messenger and was scheduled with Mandy he said i would not be disappointed and no i definitely was not! She is so sweet and the environment is very relaxing. Clean and organized as well. I walked in here for the first time, no appointment, and was seated and helped immediately. I wanted a gel manicure but was having trouble so I decided to just try and match my wallet. A male employee helped me find the right match and the female employee who did my nails did a lovely job. The price is as reasonable and the service was excellent. My friend and I came here on a whim after the salon we planned to go to in the area was appointment only and filled all morning. I found this spot on Yelp for our backup. We ended up walking in and although they were pretty busy, we got sat for pedicures pretty much right away. The decor of this place was a little funky and the 80s music videos were a little cheesy, but I have to say I was very happy with my pedicure. It's probably one of the best I've ever gotten. My massage chair was working on the shoulder knots, and I got what I believe was the Deluxe. There was a scrub and paraffin wax, so my feet are much softer, which isn't an easy task because I think my last pedicure was in May. My nail polish looks great. The pricing was reasonable. Overall I was pretty happy with things especially since we kind of stumbled upon this place. read more

So friendly! I showed up 20 minutes before open because I have no life and didn't look up when they opened. Miss Mandy was there super early and let me in while the whole crew showed up. When I saw how inexpensive the deluxe manipedi combo was I was skeptical. About 25 minutes in and the massages were coming out I was snoring but the other customer and employees were so polite and didn't mention that I had dozed off. I guess I'm going to be a diva guy now. Everything felt very thorough and I am even ticklish and she took it a little easy on me. Go here. Be sure to make an appointment!
