They taste like they were cooked days ago and then put back in the fryer for a couple of minutes. There are still places where they cook french fries ONCE and then serve them right away. However, the single bed rooms appeared to be larger; and, they also all seem to be above grade, whereas the rooms with two beds are underground. This is taken from a small sample size of the rooms I saw, but this is where things seemed to align. The breakfast is really good at the attached restaurant, and there's a pretty steep discount if you stay for the night. You can also grab coffee for free from the restaurant during your stay, which is a true delight. It's a really nice place, and worth your stay should you be looking for something in the area.
