It was a challenge finding the location. Once there all of the parking spots had info attached regarding contactless pay to park. That was confusing. I went in and inquired as to why we have to pay to park and was told that was only for parking after business hours, but that info was not on any of the signs. I had ordered a second transponder through the E-Pass app that was being mailed to me, but the lengthy arrival time didn't work for me. I was advised by a customer service rep that I could simply go to the EPass Service Center and they'd give me one on the spot and cancel the one en route. Since I was actually going to be in that area later on, I decided that's what I'd do. When I arrived to the location, I noticed it was in a large strip mall at the very left corner which had ample parking. Once I entered there were quite a number of people waiting but the line moved at a steady pace. There were 3 ladies behind the counter who all made quick work of helping the customers in a professional and timely fashion. By the time I was called to one of the counters, one of the ladies helped me and was very courteous. Within minutes, I had my new transponder and was on my way. When my bank replaced my credit card, I had some tolls accumulate on my Sunpass that were charged to my canceled card. When I realized what happened, I paid off the entire overdue amount with Sunpass. I still kept getting letters from E-pass, though. When I called the E-pass customer service hotline, the Rep told me not to worry about it - it would be taken care of. Needless to say, it was not taken care of. When it came time to renew my registration, I was blocked because of the E-pass fine. WHICH WAS ALREADY PAID OFF, AND WHICH I WAS TOLD WAS TAKEN CARE OF BY A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. After going back-and-forth between reps from E-pass and Sunpass about 20 different times, I'm finally giving up and paying the $120 a second time because I'm too exhausted to keep fighting this - and I need to get my registration renewed. But this is straight-up extortion. Fortunately, I'm able to afford spending an extra $120. But I can only imagine how this would affect people from economically-disadvantaged households who don't have the extra $120 to spare. Positively shameful. The came here one afternoon to convert my E-pass transponder to the new battery less E-pass transponder. Typical quasi-governmental customer no service. I was informed that I MUST do everything online Or via their 800 telephone service. Now, new customers were clearly being handed the brand new transponder, but I could not exchange my old one for a new one at that site. You can put this location right up there with the DMV. Very frustrating. So I went home with my old transponder in pieces, ordered my new one online. Three weeks later, my new transponder arrives. Meh! read more

Unbeknownst to me, my epass account ran out of funds, and if you wait just 5 days, EPASS will disable your account and charge you double the amount as if you PAY BY PLATE!!!! I always use the service lane to fill up. There is no warning, no courtesy email....but then a obscene amount tacked onto your account. Where's the customer service on this? There's nothing you can do, but pay it, or else you'll have other issues at the DMV. Like a legal ransom! Worst policies and customer service ever. I've been getting charged for a rental car I returned 8 months ago even though I deactivated the transponder. They said it's because the license plate number for that rental car was still on my website. I said but I deactivated the transponder. They said we can still charge you using the license plate. They refused to refund my money. Will never do business with these incompetent thieving people again. Avoid them like the plague. read more

So many mistakes with their business model So after waiting more than 30 minutes to talk with someone, I was shocked that I could not pay off my wife's account because I wasn't on it. I can't give YOU money unless she approves it? WTH? My shock actually started when I went into a Publix and found out you can only pick up a sun pass and quickly activate it. You can't do that with EPass. You have to physically inconvenience yourself and go to their location. WTH? After I got my wife on the phone (break up a work call she was on) and had her authorize me to the account, I was then told I could not take an EPass with me for my daughter and give it to her when she gets in town. Rather than either give me a free epass to take with me for my daughter, I have to physically come back in, wait another 30 mins and either bring her with me or have her available by phone at the exact time I reach a counter. It sounds like you obviously don't trust your customers and your security software and probably the support teams are not savvy enough to make it easier for your customers. Do you people want my business or not? WTH? Then I asked for the EPass extra which is $18 but you get to use it for many other toll facilities up along the east coast. I'm planning to travel a lot so I thought that would be great. But when the clerk came out with the transponder that could be used as a sun shade (it was that big), I said No thanks, I'll have the free one. Do you want my business? WTH? The only saving grace was the customer service rep named Deandrea. She just smiled, showed empathy and talked in a calming voice throughout it all. And was willing to try and make things right. The one lady (all the way at the other end of the counter) that asked me how she can help me was so rude. Very impatient, leaned back in her chair with her hands in her jacket the whole time. If you need an epass for a new car let's say, and you need it now, you can still go online and order it in the mail and still start using the toll roads today without the epass in the car. Horrible customer service! I was on phone with them for over two hours! I purchased an E-PASS from them to be used in Florida at rental car place per the E-PASS agent's suggestion. I paid for the responder and was not told at the time of purchase that you have to wait 24 hours to use the transponder. I received a ticket for the car rental for a toll charge. I was on the phone with E-PASS customer service for over two hours they were unhelpful and not willing to help me. I was very frustrated and very disappointed with their customer. We will be driving next week to the northeastern states from Florida and will need the E-PASS Xtra (toll transponder that works on toll roads and bridges in 18 state). We called Florida's customer service number and they told us to go to this office in Orlando but couldn't guarantee that this office had transponders in hand bc they are running out of them pretty fast. I went to this office today at around 11am. There was nobody in line so I was called immediately by a clerk who was behind the counter and after telling her what I needed, she took me to an office to open a new account. The lady helping me at the office was very friendly, knowledgeable and fast. She opened an account for me, entered my vehicles information, charged my credit card and gave me the transponders along with my account ID and PIN information; all in less than 30 minutes! I highly recommend this office... at least to open new accounts. read more

I have 5 trucks with this company using the uni transponder for 18 states, it works good, the problem is the website, every time I tried to add a new one it dos not let me, giving me an error message and then I have to call customer service to do it, its very inconvenient and frustrating. read more

I'm amazed at the poor customer service offered by EPASS 1. There is no way to temporarily register a rental car license plate (unlike SunPass)(rather they suggest you pay the higher fees through the rental company) 2. Ordering a portable transponder online - not until you make the purchase are you informed it might take 5-10 business days to receive the order 3. Canceling an online order - not possible without visiting a service center 4. You have to wait two business days for a reply (and if you don't include your PIN number or drivers license number in an unsecured email then you will have to wait another two days because the first response will be a canned one indicating account verification is required - i.e. Account number and contextual information such as name, recent transaction history is not sufficient) 5. Phone Customer service representatives are unable to transfer you to a manager - even suggest email will go to more empowered individuals (whether this is true, or, a cop-out, either way it's disappointing) 6. Forget about return mailing/postage that you've come to expect from the likes of Amazon and others with excellent customer service - you'll be told that EPASS is a "small company" - however this sounds like an excuse that's better explained as your just a number, and the volume of your repeat service is not sufficient to warrant better service. Unfortunately EPASS/Sunpass has a monopoly on tolls. I'm certainly going to need to revisit the monetary savings of EPASS discounts vs this poor service experience - I may need to go back to SunPass read more
