We stopped in here for mainly two things: ghiradelli liquid chocolate and commemorative merch. There was plenty of other things to see and do here though! Several informational videos were playing on loop with seating for viewers. There were regular talks and demos happening, most of which were complimentary, you just needed to wait in line. They also gave a small Cafe for food and drink refuel. The art shop was an especially cool shop. They have all the art for the festival in one place. So this is the official place you go to before you embark on your International Food and Wine adventure. around the world. Formerly located at the old Wonders of Life Pavilion, and now will be in the Forest World of Epcot ( formally part of Future World). I recommend going to the Festival Center before the food booths open up at 11 AM, the festival center opens at 10 AM. At the center, you can pick up your passport, the ratatouille scavenger hunt, artwork, some cool merchandise, and those coveted 250 dollar VIP gift card laminates. Yelp! Tip- the gift card in those laminates fall out easily, and mine FLEW-OUT during Test Track. The Festival Center was extremely accommodating to helping me get a new one since I DID NOT have my original receipt. It took them about 15 minutes in the back, albeit the longest 15 minutes of my life, to find my original purchase in the Disney database. I also took the Mix It, Make It, and Celebrate It! class which I loved, an interactive class with the Chef were you make the food together. The Beverage Seminar with French Champagne was TOP NOTCH. My only complaint was the Food Demo class, as usually Disney ALWAYS gives you a glass of wine with your food, and they cheaped out this year by not doing that. However, guests do notice these little changes, and for the same price as last year, bring back the glass of wine with the class please since this is an International FOOD and WINE festival. Don't forget to check all the Ghirardelli chocolate sculptures, and to get your free piece of chocolate, and that word FREE doesn't come often at Disney!! read more

Epcot is a world showcase of countries (the old) and innovations (the new). The target audience is probably for teens and older. There's a big movement about living sustainable life, and we learned that a lot of the produce and seafood (fish and shrimps) are actually farm and rise inside Epcot. Yes, so the next time you have a salad or a grilled catfish in Disney, it's probably farmed by Disney. Isn't that a fantastic and cool? During the tour of the countries, you not only get to see the architectures, but you get to experience their food and culture. After a few days of burgers, hot dogs and pizzas, we were thrilled to have a ramen. This building was formally home to the Wonders of Life attraction. It was then repurposed as the festival center for the many festivals that Epcot hosts. It was last used during the 2018 Food & Wine Festival, but has been closed ever since. Well now Disney has officially closed the complex and begun prepping for its massive overhaul. It will re-open as a brand new, yet to be named pavilion. According to Disney... "This innovative, new pavilion is beyond anything we've ever created and is completely unique to Epcot. Built on the power of play, it introduces an immersive and interactive 'city' where you can explore, create, and interact with some of your favorite Disney characters. This was my first trip to Disney's Epcot. Epcot, in my opinion, is geared toward adults. There are not many rides compared to other Disney parks. I loved all the different countries represented in the park. I sampled delicacies and beer from around the world. My favorite food was the mini sausage from Morocco. It was spicy and delicious! I tried light beer from nearly each country as well as a peach mimosa in France which was so light and freshening. I liked all the beer. I can't forget to mention the pastries from France. Please don't forget to stop at this shop or you will be missing out on yummy goodness! I also watched an educational show in Canada that described all the various and beautiful regions of the country. I took a ride on a boat in which I learned about all the fruits and vegetables grown at Epcot. The park uses one ton of their own fruits and vegetables for the restaurants inside the park each year. I thought this was awesome! You will also be amazed at the topiaries shaped as Disney characters and all the beautiful flowers......gorgeous!!!! I will absolutely be going back to Epcot! If you like experiencing food and beer from around the world without having to travel there this is the place for you too! read more

I think some reviews here are a little confusing because they are for Epcot as a whole and not the festival center. Epcot has its own Yelp listing so you can review the entire park there. But this...this is for the Festival Center which sits right between World Showcase and Future World in Epcot, more specifically between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion. During various seasons the Festival Center will host various talks, shows and food spots. I went to Disney most recently during the holidays so the International Festival of the Holidays was going on. During the Holiday season, the festival center turned into The Cookie Nook! Basically a sweets addict like myself's dream. They had a bunch of....shocker....cookies! The cookies are huge and there is a nice selection of holiday desserts. I was very excited about the chocolate peppermint cookie but ended up disappointed. It sure was pepperminty but it was very dry and hard. I wished they popped these cookies in a microwave for a few seconds before handing them out so they'd be soft and warm. But I didn't enjoy it much. We also tried the apple fritter and felt similarly about that. However I did get a Holiday beer flight for $9 and was happy the beers in it were different than the beer flight in American Adventure. It's a nice stop in air conditioning and for some eats. However I'd try different treats next year, but would get that beer flight again! The biggest issue though is there isn't any real seating here. You can stand at a table or sit on the floor to eat. They do have Disney short cartoons playing on a big screen though so it's a nice break for kids. Plus there was a gift shop inside, too, to get some shopping in. read more

I love here for the adult and kid section of this theme parks. I come here more for the drinking and food. Right now it's the flower Festival so there are more added food stations. The temporary stations for the flower festival was super tasty and the drinks were really good. To me Mexico had the best foods. The tacos had so much flavors and their tequila sangria was strong with he right of sweetness. I also liked the corn beef hash the combination of the meat and the cabbage was good. The chicken and couscous in Morocco was the stellar food item. (The couscous was bursting with flavors). The chicken was nice and tender and well seasoned. read more

This place can be hard to find. It's sandwiched between The Universe of Energy and Mission Space. You don't really see much of it from outside. If you aren't looking for it you could easily miss it. Plus it seems to close earlier than the rest of the park. Usually when we think to look in here it's already closed. We made it a point to go around 4pm and found not much going on. The building itself is really interesting. It's a large dome with triangular patterns similar to the ones on Spaceship Earth covering the roof. There are large windows in the ceiling to let in light. This is the place where HGTV personalities make appearances evidently. The presentations were well over when we got there. There was a Disney cast member giving a presentation about helpful bugs on crops, but we didn't stick around for it. There was a cafe for some eats and some gift shops to look at. There was a section that looked like a classroom. Each of the places to sit had a potted plant on the desk. We weren't sure what that was for. In the back of the building is an interesting history of topiaries at Disney throughout the decades. If you're at the Flower and Garden Festival during the morning this looks like it could be an interesting way to spend some time. In the late afternoon that's not really the case. read more

I love Epcot. It has been many years since my last visit and I love the changes. I remember Test Track and Mission: Space but it was my first time on Soarin and the updated Figment. Also, I think the "future" on Spaceship Earth had been update and we really liked this too. My only negative comment would be the Starbucks line just after opening. I don't think they were ready for so many of us. The line was long along for the wait for the food. The countries felt very much the same but all in all, this is my favorite Disney park, They keep the park clean and the lines were not unreasonable. Btw, the FastPasses are great! read more

During the Flower and Garden Festival in the spring and the Food and Wine Festival in the fall, there are a good many presentations that go on. Many are from famous chefs, and famous people from HGTV. The majority of the presentations happen here at the Epcot Festival Center. Even if you're like me and not so much interested in the presentations, this is still a pretty cool place to check out. They booths set up inside which sell the various merchandise for the festivals. You can also find Limited Edition and Limited Release items here like the pins. There are also displays and whatnot set up. As others have mentioned, it can be difficult to find. Head towards Mission Space. If you still can't find it, you're in the right area, so any Cast Member you happen upon will be able to point you in the right direction. read more

Epcot is the only Disney park worth your time, money, and energy. I've visited Disney as a child, a teenager, and now as an adult and I still say Epcot is the only park worth visiting. Prices are still steep because it's Disney (insert eye roll here) but it's worth it if you want something a little different from the other Disney parks. Epcot offers a ton of space-related exhibits and rides. Mission Space is my favorite ride in all of Disney. Go for the orange team (not green) unless you have motion sickness, neck/back problems, heart problems, preggers, etc. Pretty much just do it and pray you don't puke on the person next to you. If you've ever been in any sort of flight simulator, I guarantee you will enjoy this. There are also 11 countries to explore at Epcot. Each country flows into the next. Mexico offers a fun boat ride with a romantic looking restaurant. Italy has a few great restaurants to grab lunch at. Norway has some fun little shops to explore. Canada has a circle video (hold the balance beam if you're like me and get dizzy easily). UK has a pub and fish & chips shop. Oh! Right! That's also what makes Epcot the superior park. You can drink here! There are still a ton of kids around but it's far less than let's say the Magic Kingdom. I would go as far to say that Epcot is the more "adult-friendly" park of all the Disney properties. Don't worry, you can also live out your childhood dreams and take pics with Pluto. Fast pass is free (it's the least they could do considering they want your first born just for the entrance fee). But it's also difficult to navigate via the kiosks and the app (the app didn't work until we found guest services at the end of the park and they linked it to our cards). I would definitely come here again for the food and wine festival they have each October or simply to ride the space rides again. Oh and there was a prom taking place when we visited. Must be nice to live in Florida! I'm totally kidding, I never want to live in Florida. The heat disgusts me. read more

The first few reviews here were about what they are suppose to be about, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Center building. The more recent ones are from people who thought these are reviews of just EPCOT. So you may want to skip the next several reviews if it is the festival center you are interested in. As someone else commented, the festival center can be hard to find, unless you head to the left from the entrance and look for the round yellow roof. I wasn't dazzled by the center. We picked up our free annual pass holder themed pin and looked in the shop for baseball caps for the bright sun. They only had ones that were intentionally scuffed in places to make them look old and worn out. Cute idea, but $25 for a hat that looks beat up? (Later we found nice ones marked down in the Canada Outpost.) The demonstration classes are also in the festival! Center, but learning to cook a meal wasn't why we were at EPCOT, especially at an additional cost. I am sure many people got a lot out of the festival center building, but it was a fairly quick walk through for us. read more

Where to start when talking about Epcot? Disney's Festival Park? Disney's oldest feeling park? Out of all four theme parks in Disney World (Water Parks excluded) I can safely say EPCOT is my least favorite. Although still a world class theme park, it's just not fun. By far the biggest draw the park has are it's now seemingly year round rotating choice of festivals. Whether it's Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, or Festival of the Holidays, there's always something "special" going on at EPCOT. While the festivals themselves can be fun, the idea of spending over $100 for a single day ticket only to come and spend $5-7 on multiple extremely small plates of food, and $9+ for a glass of beer or wine does not seem the least bit appealing. Not to mention the larger issue of the festivals serving as a mask for the rapidly aging and quickly outdated park itself. Three closed pavilions, 2 with rides that haven't been taken proper care of in years, and a vast majority of the park closing at 7 PM to push you in to the world showcase to buy food & drinks. Now not all with EPCOT is negative. Soarin is still one of the best attractions on property, and along with the ride for FROZEN is a recently update/new attraction added within the past year. Beyond that, Test Track just went under a major redesign several years back, and there are rumored plans for a complete overhaul of EPCOT within the next few years. I still do enjoy coming to the park on occasion, but with 2 vastly superior theme parks nearby in Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, and the under construction but still enjoyable Disney's Hollywood Studios just minutes away, it's hard to justify coming here over the others. read more

Growing up, I never really appreciated Epcot. As a kid, I thought it was the most boring of all the parks, but as an adult, it's by far my favorite. There is the world showcase which immersed one in a different culture. Then there are the futuristic world rides such as The Land and Test Track. Overall, it's the most adult friendly park. EPCOT is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm at Walt Disney World. My top favorite attractions are Mission Space, Test Track, and Living With The Land. This park is never as packed as any of the other ones which is a huge plus. Now my absolute favorite is The World Showcase! Sure this park doesn't have a lot of attractions, but you can spend all day at the world showcase doing the beer challenge (Drinking A Beer At Each Country) and trying some of the foods from all over the world. I went during the flower and garden festival and it's so beautiful. Throughout the park they have some of our favorite Disney characters made out of flowers so they make great picture ops. During the festival they have small booths at almost every country were you can try small portions of different foods, beers, and wines. I look forward to going to EPCOT every year. read more

The Festival Center serves as the central hub for both the Flower & Garden Festival that happens each spring as well as the International Food & Wine Festival that takes place each fall. If you want to partake in any of the special seminars going on, this is where they go down. If you don't know where you're going, the Festival Center is a little off the beaten circular path of EPCOT, however plenty of signage for each respective festival will guide your way. Plus, a throng of people to follow usually helps. Disney sets up little festival themed gift shops for you to peruse and it offers a nice chance to go to the bathroom before hitting the rest of the park. Word of advice: They close down online reservations for seminars to allow for walk-in sign ups. So even if you're seminar choice is full, don't give up hope, they might still have seats available on the day of the event. read more

Epcot is super dated and it seems like for the most part they embrace it. The coolest rides we went on were Soarin' and Mission: Space. Both are moving simulator rides which seems to be a staple in all the parks we visited in Orlando. For the little ones a highlight is Frozen Ever After. The different country pavilions were cool to walk through and I certainly appreciated the food and drink. In particular, Morroco and Japan were fun to look at and had fun things for puchase. A hidden gem inside Epcot is the aquarium which we would have completely missed had we not gone on the Nemo ride right before we left. There are manatees, sharks, sea turtles, and the real life versions of all your favorite Nemo characters. My one main issue with Epcot is that the free stuff (the rides) are too dated to justify the price tag. While visiting the countries is cool everything inside costs extra. Magic Kingdom and Universal can justify their prices because they keep everything updated and continue to improve upon the experience. So, I can't say that I recommend Epcot unless, like us, you just have an extra day to kill. read more

The flower and garden festival is probably better than the food and wine festival. I didn't know they had delicious food and wine and beer pairings along with all the beautiful gardens. They lie on all the lines. We went in the line saying only 50 minutes but really we have been in the line for almost 2 hours. (Testrack btw) They put games in but everyone is distracted by them so they don't move which is inconvenient, because if you are with a school you are given a limited time like our school is only going to be here for 9 hours but we would like to be able to go on more rides but we only have like 7hours left plus 1 hour for eating. So we have been in a short ride line for a long time so all I really want is them to be honest with there wait times so you don't waste people's time who have a schedule. read more

This park is kinda neat, I just wish it had a lot more than a bunch of gift shops. Yeah there are restaurants in each "country", and there are some rides in random spots throughout the park, but I feel like this part has more gift shops than any other park. Spaceship Earth is a neat ride, so was the Mission Space (but that's being remodeled right now), there's a neat little ride in Mexico called the Gran Fiesta Tour, of course there's the coveted Frozen Ever After ride in Norway which is pretty fun boat ride that is a remodeled version of the previous Maelstrom boat ride. There are a bunch of little rides like Soarin Around the World and the Living off the Land tour which is fun because they show you what food they grow there, and a few others like the test track car ride, and a kiddie ride featuring Figment (the one from your imagination obviously). There's this place called Club Cool which is a Coca Cola featured place where you can sample a bunch of different sodas from different countries, but you have to try the Beverly flavor from Italy first ;P And I do suggest staying for the fireworks show, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, at the end of the night because that's pretty cool as well. read more

My favorite Disney Park. It has something for everyone. The park starts with the iconic Spaceship Earth. A.k.a the big ball, the Death Star, the giant golf ball. Or those are three names I heard it called on the tram. A great place to take a group photo. Twards the left are thrill rides such as Mission Space, and the redesigned Test Track. Twards the right are more family friendly rides including, Soarin', Living With The Land, and the Finding Nemo ride. Don't forget to check out Club Cool. At Club Cool guests may enjoy Coke products from around the world. I am particularly fond of the vegetable drink. Have your cameras rolling when your kids, or kids at heart try the Beverly. Just trust me on this one. Think of Club Cool as a primer for your trip around the world, well eleven countries. Interesting, eclectic, and tasty foods, found all over World Showcase. From meals to snacks there are some truly delectable dining opportunities. There are two rides, and several short movies. Lots of interactive displays. World Showcase cast members are not your average cast members. In World Showcase the cast members are from the countries they are working in. Disney actually has a special visa program and everything. I am particularly fond of this. You can learn so much from talking to the cast members. It isn't just a script that Disney manufacturers. For the kids there are paper Duffy bears. These are free! The kids may color them, then get them stamped in every country. Some Kidcot locations are harder to find than others. The person from each location also draws a something on the back. Most of the countries where English isn't their primary language will write the child's name in their language as well. read more

It's always fun to explore the festival center. This place is only open during Food and Wine and Flower and Garden Festivals. Merchandise and cool chocolate displays created by various Disney Park hotels are displayed in the Ghirardelli pop up shop. This year they had Jungle Book and Frozen displays just to name a couple. There is always an amazing amount of detail that each hotel puts into their display. Of course it is Disney, so everything is done to perfection. Along with various pop up shops with wine, festival merchandise and art, there are a couple of restaurants that are used for both ticketed food classes and various demonstrations. Special passholder merchandise is also available only at the festival center. So if you're a passholder that's where you would purchase the limited edition t-shirt, pin and collectors coin. The festival center opens at 9 and closes when the park closes. It's located in Future World close to Test Track. read more

Boring. Unless you love to eat in the hot, hot sun. Stayed a few hours. Enjoyed the ride at the entrance- Around the Universe? I'm not sure. We had fast passes for Fast Track the only "ride" I was looking forward to. Disappointed it was closed until further notice. Fast passes (not so fast) would still be honored when it would open. Let me see- thousands of people with a fast pass. Nope. Then we were "gifted" with additional fast passes for the ride of our choices. We chose "Soaring" and all of a sudden walk up and my fast pass watch doesn't work. The "cast member" with the personality of a piece of toast told me I didn't have one. Then he proceeded to check us all for it. I can only "guess" this was a glitch in the app from Apple and not them. However, the piece of toast started to get an attitude, so I decided to take a hint and leave. No. If I ever, and no I won't. Go back to Epcot... Wait. No going back! Nothing to do but walk around in the heat and have your kids meet characters and get autographs. I left the Grandma to that, especially while I checked other FP rides available. Boring Epcot. We have more fun at the local Main Event near our home and it's air conditioned! I give 2 stars for the appearance of an interesting place. That's it. My review can't include food, because apparently you have to travel the globe in the heat to try. Sure you may say I should have gone at another time. I was there before they opened. Never again! B-O-R-I-N-G. Oh, and we couldn't find a photographer to take a photo with the photo memory package. Which you should buy in advance. They will most likely only take your photo in the entrance, there really isn't much else where for a good photo op. Spent three hours this morning waiting on rides, rode one, the other broke and the Ellen exhibit on energy is out dated and boring. Disney need to wake up and start reinvesting in new rides, less food courts and less wait times. We went to the dessert demonstration when visiting for the Food and Wine Festival at The Epcot Festival Center, located inside Disney's Epcot Theme Park. We bought our tickets online prior to attend the park for a "live cooking" demonstration of a dessert to be cooked by a professional chef. When we arrived at the Festival Center we had to wait in line to get our tickets. We were not made aware of that when we first purchased the tickets ($15 each). Other than that, it was a fun experience and a nice break from the heat! Our dessert was half flan half chocolate cake. Both were delicious but the flan was the best! The demonstration lasted about an hour. The two chefs who did the cooking demonstration were funny, entertaining, and did a great job of walking us through the recipe. They gave us a print out to bring home so that we can try our luck at cooking the magnificent dessert they provided us with. read more

It's very fun exploring the festivals, although some of the rides there lack fun, others like Test Track and Soarin' are very fun. As well as the food is very good. I like most of the stores. My favorite store there is in the Japan area of the world park. My favorite event is the Food and Wine festival. read more
