Ham and Cheese with Swiss on a Pretzel Bun
    Daniel W.

I had the ham and cheese sandwich. One of the most simple foods that you can order. The pretzel bun put this sandwich in the highest of sandwich tiers. Delicious. The service was fantastic(which is just an added bonus). Prices were fair and reasonable. This is a place I would stop at for lunch frequently if I lived nearby.

Really great soft pretzels. Just the right amount of salt and they tasted fresh. Try the spicy sausage pretzel, it's the best!

It was a turkey and scrambled egg sandwich with home fries, and a beef sausage scramble with home fries. The sandwiches were hot and the bread was soft and tasted so buttery good! However, my home fries had a vinegar-ish taste as if the the onions were spoiled so I didn't eat them but my companion did enjoy them so he ate them. Might of been just me? I had a large tea which was great. I loved that they put two tea bags. I update this review from last visit because my companion was very satisfied with his meal. The only negative comment he made was that there were only 3 small slices of beef sausage in his small sandwich.. As for the ambiance of this location it still looks shabby, needs a little makeover. We lucked out in finding a park spot right in front, as someone pulled out as we pulled up. What's more, the meter had 32 minutes left adequate time for us to eat in. When we left the meter maid was doing her rounds but we still had 6 minutes to spare :p

We got the chicken corn soup and hunter stew soup and a turnover. The food is amazing. The soups were sooooo good. The sandwiches look amazing and they even have this awesome fresh cannoli setup! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. The bad - I am deaf and depend on my hubby to help me in unfamiliar surroundings. I was standing by the food display and said to him out loud "Where do I stand to get service?" as I was reading his lips across the room. The next thing I know a lady behind the counter is chastising me very loudly about how she is with a customer and "WHEN SOMEONE CAN GET TO YOU THEY WILL." It was embarrassing for me, to say the least. I was asking my husband a question and here she is literally chastising me in front of everyone. My husband steps in to say "She's deaf and was asking me" and that's when I went and hid in the last table in the back. I was hoping that I found a place I could go during the week on my own when my husband travels for work. But I doubt I would go there alone after this.

The sample food was incredible and the employees there were wonderful to talk to. Fast forward to the wedding on May 22nd at Drumore Mill. The staff was friendly and did a great job getting food out to everyone, but the food was abysmal. It was the worst I've ever encountered at an event. The beef was supposed to be smoked brisket. It was a not even close. Fatty, barely warm and flavorless. It felt like something you'd get in a budget frozen dinner. The chicken? Over-cooked and the coating, whatever it was so thick and salty, it was inedible. The vegetables were actually okay and the mashed potatoes were meh but at least we could eat them without worrying about being bombarded with salt. In fact, they could have used some seasoning. What was presented to the bride and groom on their tasting plate was absolutely not what The Festive Board delivered on the wedding day. This company should refund them their money. Be warned, what you see when they're trying to get a contract is not what you get on the day of your wedding.

It was barely warm and it tasted like glue. If there was any type of seafood in the soup it was possibly just the bait they were fishing with. I could only eat about half of what I got it made me sick to my stomach. Even with the $15.00 savings it was way over priced. However it cleanse my colon and emptied my stomach. I have had good food from Isaac's in the past but this visit is hard to want to ever go back.
