Me and my daughter was tearing up the subs and we wished we ordered larger sizes cause we wanted more after. We also ordered the cookies one chocolate chip and one celebration sugar, and also a brownie. The sugar cookie was so amazing! Tasted so sugary and buttery. Tried the chocolate chip and just like the sugar so tasty. The brownie was so chocolatey and was delicious. I would definitely try this place again. Very satisfied. read more

Firehouse Subs is a rare sight in Eastern PA, with several closing over the years, so when you find one it is a treat. This Firehouse Subs is located in the York Marketplace among a strip of other stores. It's large for a Firehouse subs, and has two Coke Freestyle machines. Ordering was fast enough and I went with the Hook & Ladder. It took a while for my food to be ready, but they were not that busy. One of the Freestyle machines was also out of order. As with many places, Firehouse Subs isn't the cheapest place to get a sub, but they are delicious. This one does need a little work, however. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE, my partner and I went here for dinner today (5/9/26 5:30pm) I got a large Firehouse Steak and Cheese and asked for Mushrooms to be added. When I received my food it was less than appealing, bread was burnt and not plated well, I thought "maybe they rushed it" so I went on to eat half of my sandwich, I noticed that the onions and mushrooms didn't taste right, and right as I took the first bite of the second half of my sandwich I noticed a HAIR inside my sandwich. I've been going to this location for years and ever since the owner and his teenage boys have been working, it has gone down hill very badly. I will not be returning to this location ever again and hope you too do not. read more

Not much to review on the service or the food. When passing thru York Pa, I figured it would be a good opportunity to introduce a van load of hungry kids to how good their subs were. After building the brand up, (and yes I seek out their subs in my travels) I was astonished to find the store closed on a Saturday around 3pm. I ended up taking everyone to Jersey Mike's down the road. When talking to people in the area about it they said it was poorly ran and the owner skipped out on paying their employees, so they all quit. I ended up taking harassment from the kids for the next 200 or so miles. read more

Pregnancy cravings were in full swing, I wanted some classic firehouse subs. I was immensely disappointed. The quality of the food was mid at best, poorly made and I didn't even get my pickle. Love LOVE love!!!....The Hook & Ladder sub is my absolute favorite meal to devour. The whole restaurant is a fire station/fire house vibe. As soon as you enter the building; The whole restaurant is decorated or mimics that of a REAL fire house. So many unique & mostly local first responder memorabilia on the walls and with in the whole restaurant including the bathrooms. I love that every meal comes with a delicious pickle! Worst service and experience. This location has gone downhill and is terrible since it's been sold. Kids behind the counter gave my husband a medium sub when he ordered and paid 20$ for a large. When asked then they told us we were wrong. I even measured the sub with the example one they had in store. They proceeded to laugh and be rude and disrespectful behind the counter. This was my first Firehouse subs experience and I was delighted! The food tasted SO good and the sub was assembled nicely that it didn't become a huge mess. The service was great, they ask you directly if you want all the standard toppings - mustard, lettuce, tomato, etc. which was a pleasant surprise. The inside of the restaurant has firehouse mementos throughout and firefighting gear. I'm not local to York, but I'd go to Firehouse subs again. read more

We ordered food to dine in. We noticed the young man making our food keep touching his cell phone through the entirety of making our order. We confronted him and asked him to remake our order and he gave an attitude stating that he was only touching his phone with the one hand and not both. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. We decided to split a large spicy grilled chicken sub. Also ordered some chips a root beer soda and unsweetened ice tea. The menu is quite extensive so I took a few minutes to decide. Staff was friendly and helpful when I asked a question about the size. There was also plenty of one serve chips to select from. Once my order was placed and paid I received two cups for our drinks. The large looks like it could be a liter! The medium was big enough for a really thirsty person so I took the cups over to the drink bar for self serve. The selection of drinks is pretty epic. Sweet or unsweetened everything plus diet choices. The unsweetened tea was perfectly balanced. The interior was clean and nicely decorated with the firefighter theme. Dalmatian spotted tables and red chairs. They also collect donations to support firefighters and their families which is really cool. We both enjoyed our sub sandwiches. I wouldn't hesitate to return to try this establishment again. read more

Food offerings are sub/salads. Generally the quality is top notch, but there is a slight caveat. That being how and when you place your order. Generally earlier ordering is what is recommended . Say 10:30-10:45 AM at the latest for lunch and 3:45 PM to 4:30 PM. Calling in to the location is definitely recommended by far as the closer to the meal time the longer you will be waiting. Play your cards right and you might hit the sweet-spot, of getting your order in prior to the lunch /dinner rush. If you want you could just inform them that you will pick-up your order when you can. I generally like to tip them a bit as they do a pretty good job with a sub order ( but I am speaking for the West York location. Dining in is available, but seating is cramped. We usually get it as carry-out (we do not live too far away. Disclaimer - We have not ordered from them in a bit so things could have changed a bit since we last visited their establishment. Great service here! Needed a super quick bite for lunch while in the area for work. Went in and was greeted immediately, ordered their meatball sub with chips to go and it was hot and ready in 5 or so minutes. Two staff members were there during the lunch crowd and they didn't miss a step! Cashier was very good! Lots of seating and cool decor. read more

My wife wanted a salad with chicken so they rang her up for a Firehouse salad that is $8.99 and has no meat and charged $3.00 to add chicken where the Italian salad is the same salad with chicken and salami for $9.49 so be careful what you order and how they ring it up. read more

This location is a bit out of the way for me considering there used to be one within 10 minutes of my home but I was in the area and I like the brand. This location was bigger though, clean and the staff friendly and service, fast. I had the "Hero" roast beef, ham and turkey, everything, no onions...delicious! My son had the "Firehouse Steak and Cheese" with everything along with the "Five Cheese Mac and Cheese" He wolfed down both as he is 16, lives in the gym, and is eating everything in sight. He was not a big fan of the Mac and Cheese but couldn't say exactly why. I highly recommend Firehouse Subs for a quick bite. read more

This place was good. I needed to kill a couple of hours when the chimney people were cleaning the chimney. So I brought my son out to their place and got a couple of subs for my wife my mother in law and myself. They let me feed my son his applesauce thingys that he loves so much and we hung out for about an hour. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised was an understatement! Grabbed pick up here just because it was someplace I've never been before. First impression was that it was going to be no better/or worse than Subway. Boy was I wrong! I don't know what this "steam" process is to the meat but the flavor was like an explosion in my mouth! My Italian sub was the best I've ever eaten - flavorful, full of meats and cheeses, absolutely mouth watering. Hubby got the BBQ brisket which surprised me because brisket is not something he would typically eat or order and he equally raved, than started giving my sub the eye.... I liked the firehouse theme as well and especially was impressed that you can round up your bill to donate to local emergency services. At the time of my visit Christmas was only a few weeks ago. There was a huge card that customers could sign thanking first responders for their services. I thought that was a thoughtful touch. Some things to know: "Fully involved" means all the fixings There is three sizes, with small being more or less a sample. A medium is about 6" You have your choice of bread. Better to eat in than get take out. Although our subs were delicious they were soggy from the ride home. I missed the texture of a toasted bun. We WILL be back and very soon! read more

Staff seemed legit did get a slighted look by one of there employees in the back but the guy could be having a rough day or life. Nothing like Subway more like Issacs. I was so impressed by this place. I'm from out of town but was helping a family member plan a small event last weekend. My caterer fell through an hour before I needed to feed 25 people. I called them In a panic desperate for some help. They usually require 24 hours for platters and catering orders. They were so wonderful, accommodating, and helpful. They got me together everything I needed in 35 minutes and saved the day! And everyone loved the food! They were just so accommodating and efficient. Will defiantly use them in the future!
