Walked in and only had to wait a few minutes for a cut. I was anxious about cutting my long hair but Rob knew exactly what I wanted and gave me a fresh cut along with some tips on how to style it. Rob is my all time favorite barber. His haircuts are top notch, reasonably priced, and FAST 10-15 minutes tops no matter how shaggy I'm getting. He is an incredibly kind and thoughtful man who makes everyone feel like family. I have a physical disability and he is always 100% accommodating of anything I need. I've been so overdue in righting this review! Rob has been cutting my hair about once every 5-6 weeks for the past 4 years. Rob takes the time to listen to what you are looking for in style, looks at how he can implement it and then offers his years of expertise in executing it. I find myself going in more and more frequently just because I enjoy seeing Rob and watching the progress that this barbershop has made over the years. I've successfully recommended Epic Barber Shop to friends of mine who have gotten the chance to go in and meet with either Rob or his other barbers and have loved their experiences. Horrible toddler cut but even worse customer service experience received this morning by Linda. In fact I am still furious about how I was treated as a person and mother. When we arrived the place was empty and an inappropriate TV program was on. I asked if we could put something more suitable for my child during his cut. Her response was, "He will be out of here in 10 mins and will turn him away from it." It was an unwelcoming response but I let it go. As Julia D. wrote, her child was offered a movie and colorful cape. No big deal this wasn't offered but expected some respect, patience and gentleness on my child. Instead our experience went downhill when she made my son cry roughly handling him. She ignored him crying and reminded me this was a place for adults and not for children that misbehave. Her demeanor and attitude were very poor and unaccommodating. She then removes the cape and told me she was done. When I asked for her complete the cut her response was, "I can't because your child is uncooperative and uncontrollable." Appalled, I reminded her that she could have prevented my child getting upset from the beginning by keeping him entertained with a child's program and showing a little compassion. She was rather disrespectful not only to me but other clients awaiting their turn. She blurted out again this place is for adults and good children only. I asked what she meant by that and she was unable respond. When I asked for her manager's name, she withheld the info. Very upset at this point, I told her I refused to pay for her lousy and incomplete service. Her sarcastic and demeaning responses were enough to make me exit. I reminded her that she was in the hospitality and service industry and left. Please rethink having a child's cut here unless you can see the recommended stylist that my fellow reviewers rave about. read more

WOW. I've never felt more peace and ease getting my hair cut before. Rob is so kind and such a great listener (if you need to vent, he's incredibly compassionate). Almost every time I get my hair done I feel some anxiety afterward because they never seem to get it quite right. But today it came out perfectly! I actually left in tears because of the experience. Heather does a great job cutting hair. I cut about 6 inches off my long hair, layers and everything. My layers are really well done, giving a lot of body to my hair. It was only $22 for my cut- a great deal! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a well done, inexpensive haircut. read more

This place has a nice friendly vibe, and seems good for kids. I really liked Heather, and the price was cheap. but there was only one problem---she did a rushed job cutting my hair. I'm not sure if she's not well trained or just used to a low standard, but she didn't even review her work--and missed a bunch of problems. Just snip, snip, and out the door. LOVE! I came here for a cut on my 4.5yo sons hair and couldn't be happier. He has long (for a boy) gorgeous curly blond locks that we've had hack jobs on before that left me in tears. She took off a 1/4 inch like I asked and just cleaned it up. It was quick (but not too much so, just precise), my son watched PBS cartoons and we were outta there for $18 with a tip. We considered Kids Club at U-Vil but $30 and a mandatory hair washing there was no way, mostly for the latter! Have a hard enough time with that at home! I'll be back for myself and I'm sooooper picky about my hair but Heather has mad skills. Check it out! read more

Exceeded my expectations! I just wanted a super simple cut (basically a buzzcut), which I've becoming accustomed to paying $18-20 for at most Seattle barber shops. Which feels weird because I don't have much hair, and mine is an easy haircut. I went here and got a nice, quick haircut and gave the barber a $20 bill expecting to get a dollar or two back. He gave me $10 back, to my amazement. Had a good chat with him, too, and the whole experience made me a fan of this place. read more

I had my hair cut here recently. The hairdressers are nice but seem a little rushed. I was expecting a full hair wash and style but received a quick cut unstead. The cut is good so I'd return if necessary. It's walk in only so heads up. read more

Omg, what an amazing place! Took my 17-month-old boy here for his first haircut when I realized I wouldn't be able to wait until he was 4 like I did with his sisters. I was convinced ahead of time it would be a disaster, with kiddo being squirmy and having some stranger-danger to boot. Rob couldn't have made it easier. What a gem of a barber he was, and kiddo behaved well enough that Rob was able to do a thorough job, with scissors, comb, and clippers. And the price was half of what I would have paid at Kids Club in U Village. Even though I'm sad the long locks are gone, I'll be taking the kiddo back here from now on. Thanks, Rob!!!! read more

If you don't care too much about how your child's hair comes out, you can't beat the price. The guy who works on weekends is usually good, but you can't really choose who does the cut. I keep going because I can walk there and my kid likes it and has no opinion on his own haircut. read more

I've never written a yelp review before, but I decided to write my first one purely to praise Epic Barber Shop. Angie is amazing! When I first moved to Seattle about a year ago and was still worried about driving around the city, I hopped onto yelp and found this barbershop within walking distance of where I lived! The first time I just walked in and waited amongst many young children around elementary school age. Frankly, I found them quite entertaining and Angie and Heather seem to have such an amazing rapport with them! The two barbers present were both super friendly greeting me when I awkwardly entered, and I only waited about 10-15min and then was called up to Angie's chair. I gave her a brief description of what I was looking for, and she took that and made it even better than I imagined! I have a very short undercut and it's long on the top, and Angie gave me some AMAZING and detailed line work. And it's also incredibly affordable for how often I have to get my hair cut! The shop has an amazing neighborhood feel to it and I very much enjoy the atmosphere. It's a great feeling to have a regular barber who knows me, my hair, and the style I'm looking for. Since that first visit, I return every 3-4 weeks and have a new innovative and creative Angie design every single time. I trust Angie's creative eye completely and am so happy I stumbled across this place! I wouldn't get my hair cut any where else in Seattle! read more

Nick first cut my hair approximately 8 years ago, and I've been trying to follow him ever since!
