We used to think Epic Burgers lived up to their name and were truly epic. Tonight, however, the burgers were just Mediocre. My wife gad a single burger on a wheat bun with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and epic sauce. She said it had no flavor, and the burger needed some salt. The epic sauce was the only thing that added any flavor to the burger. My son had a double burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato. He thought the meat tasted like it had been frozen and was no better than the burgers he gets in the high school cafeteria. I had a double burger on a lettuce wrap with Pickles, grilled onions, cheddar.cheese and epic sauce. I thought my burger was decent, but I had so many other things on the burger I wouldn't have noticed the lack of flavor on the burger. Next, Epic Burger used to have natural hand-cut fries. Tonight's fries looked like frozen coated fries served in most fast food restaurants. They were awful, none of us finished our fries. For my wife and son the best part of the meal was their milkshakes. My son had a Cookies 'n Cream milkshake, and my wife had a chocolate shake. They both received high marks. My wife commented that the whipped cream might have needed a bit more sugar to make it a little sweeter. Tried a beyond burger. It's tall, stacked beautifully. The caramelized onion we added provided a nice sweet smoky flavor. The meat paddy does fall apart more easily than the real meat, but very tender. They have the organic certified Heinz ketchup which I find tasting better than the original one. But does it worth $13? Had to try the new BEYOND MEAT BRAT! I was excited to taste this new concoction that would be tube swine replacement. As it was brought to my table with a side of sweet potato fries. My eyes focused on the dry looking veggie BRAT. My taste buds wanted to cry. The image of a dry sponge came to mind. I heroically picked up the bun wrapped swine imposter and took my first bite. I ordered the double beef burger with onions, lettuce, pickles, giardiniera, and epic sauce. the burger is one of the best i have ever had. a double beef burger with all those toppings does get a little messy, but its worth it. another plus point is for all the people that eat Halal, the beef at Epic Burger is from Creekstone Farms, which is certified Halal. I was also happy with the service, the staff is very friendly, the restaurant was nice, great atmosphere. the only negative would be the price, I will definitely be back for more. read more

Pros: Delicious food, Cons: Overpriced; skimpy portions; dysfunctional service My wife and I ate at this location for the first time yesterday evening, 8/23/19. My wife loves Epic Burger's loop location, so we tried this one; we were both disappointed. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and regular fries and I the meatless bratwurst and sweet potato fries for dine in. Even though it wasn't very busy the cashier seemed distracted, slow to take our order, and I had to ask him twice for a receipt. Shortly after we took our seats they brought out my wife's cheeseburger, but with the sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries she ordered. When we pointed this out to the server, she showed us the receipt and it indeed indicated that we had ordered just a single serving of the sweet potato fries with nothing about a serving of regular fries. After clarifying our order with the server, it was then a 10 minute wait for my meatless bratwurst and the regular fries for my wife (I ended up walking to the kitchen to ask for them). The bratwurst was good, but not very filling. I could have eaten another, but I wasn't prepared to spend another $8 on a bratwurst and risk another 10 minute wait (yes, the bratwursts were $8 each, and that's not counting fries or drink). Bummer ending to an otherwise pleasant evening at the mall. I love this Epic burger! They are always super friendly, the environment is always clean and the food is bomb! And it's always consistent. I came in for dinner last Saturday for just a grilled chicken sandwich and it was the best I've ever had! I know it might not seem that hard to make a chicken sandwich, but it was off the chain! My bread was incredibly fresh, the chicken was nice and hot, and so were my french fries. Not to mention customer service is just top notch which goes a long way. Epic? I don't think so. Solid? I think that's a better description, but I don't think anyone would want to go to a place called 'Solid Burger.' I think the choices they have are pretty with turkey burgers or portabella but their Epic burger is a good choice. The fact that they give you an option of a runny egg for the burger? Awesome-and of course can't have egg without bacon, with all the toppings I put on there (all the veggies) my burger was a slippy, slide-y mess that I barely held together, it was a good tasting mess but I felt like I needed a fork and knife to finish it. The service was friendly and quick. The sis and I ended up sitting at the bar and the employees were friendly and asked if we needed any help with anything else and checked on us frequently. A couple that didn't speak much English came through and the staff did the best they could to overcome the language barrier and tried to get them what they wanted.
