Today I visited the Chick-fil-A on Skokie Boulevard and Grosse Point I'm a regular customer, and I've always had a great experience there. The food is consistently phenomenal, and I normally have nothing but positive things to say. Unfortunately, today's experience was different. The cashier, whose name I believe was Priscilla, ( chubby girl )had a very unpleasant attitude. My order was incomplete twice, and when I brought it to her attention, her response came across as rude and dismissive. I understand that everyone can have a difficult day, but customer service at the front counter is very important, especially for a restaurant with such a strong reputation for hospitality. I hope management can address this situation and provide additional coaching to ensure customers are treated with the same level of respect and friendliness that Chick-fil-A is known for. read more

Ordered nuggets, waffle fries, 1 coke & 8 nuggets that were not breaded. Cost was $25.00. I knew there was a problem when she handed me the bag and there was not any weight to it. Portions were so tiny my friend and I ate and were starving when the tiny morsels of food were consumed. Each chicken nugget was divided into 4 so they were TEEENY TIIINY and a complete rip off. They practically counted each waffle fry so we're were sure to get no more than 8 of the teeeny tiny waffle fries. I just happened to be in the area after leaving work, and in the mood for some waffle potato fries, so I visited this Chick-fil-A location. You can also say that the absence of any vehicles within the drive-thru area played an influence in my decision to visit as well. I ordered a medium order of waffle potato fries along with a medium mac & cheese. Both are sides and both have a satisfying number of calories which I could not help but notice. And I waited for it in an acceptable time frame in the drive-thru which I must say was tight-knit maneuvering my vehicle in. As for my order, the waffle potato fries did not disappoint as I knew they would not. They tasted so well with the barbecue sauce I ordered them with. And the mac & cheese, I just could not wait to stick my fork into it! Its cheesy, yet delicious taste was exactly what my taste buds anticipated and received. To me they have the best fried chicken sandwiches. I compare to Portillos, Kfc, McDonalds, others that do not come to mind.

I recommend visiting this Chick-fil-A if in Skokie. The frosted coffees are good and my kiddo likes the hash browns. The staff are all friendly and courteous. There is plenty of parking and seating inside the restaurant and two (2) lanes for drive through. They are busy during lunch and dinner hours. Waffle fries for breakfast? I like coming for breakfast. I tend to elevate the chicken biscuit in a couple ways: I add bacon, egg and cheese to the chicken biscuit. It's so hit or miss for me with this location. In the beginning, I had nothing but great experiences. Their customer service, the wait time and the order accuracy was always on point. In the past, they were not stingy with their sauces and wouldn't charge you extra. Recently, I have not always been getting the best customer service. A lot of times I feel like I'm an inconvenience to their day when I'm placing an order. The past 3 times, my order hasn't been accurate. I've had to go back and go inside to ask for replacement(s). Since I work down the block, I frequent to this location at least 2-3 times every two weeks. I'm not sure if it's a matter of high turn over but their customer service has been slipping. Really like how easy it is to use their app, order, and by the time you reach the restaurant it's ready for pickup. I've been taking advantage of their app for some time and there are frequently good deals available. This location seems to be more drive thru oriented as it has a double drive thru surrounding the restaurant, a bit of frogger when they're especially busy during the evening rush. I was expecting my order to be on a shelf, but I had to (yikes...talk to someone to get my order, I think they do that during the busy times). Since they're just churning order after order. But I still skipped the queue in the restaurant for my food and within 3 mins I was on my way. You could also get curbside or thru drive thru, but I don't mind getting out of my car to grab my food. Placed an order for pick up for breakfast at 10:20 AM on the app and the restaurant confirm my order. I also paid for my order before I arrive to the via the app. When I arrive to the restaurant at 10:35 AM they told me that they canceled my order because breakfast was no longer being served if I'm able to place an order for pick up at 10:20 AM and I paid for the order before 10:30 and it was confirmed before 10:30 by the restaurant. There's no reason that when I get there my order should not be ready and the order is canceled. This is not good customer service. read more

The friendliness and courtesy of the staff remains unparalleled to other fast food chains. It amazes me how Chick-Fil-A is able to screen for this in their employment process and sustain the luxury of being picky. Kudos! It does not go unnoticed. The dining room isn't yet opened here, so we got a take out breakfast. Since the outdoor seating wasn't set up yet at 8:30am, we just went with the flow and inhaled our chicken biscuits and mini chick biscuits with hash browns in the car. I just wish the chicken biscuit sandwiches came with pickles too bc it needs some acidity to cut through the fattiness of the fried meat and buttery biscuit! They are all basically the same as a franchise but many are individually owned and some are more friendlier than others. I like their Chick-fil-A sauce the best. I feel so lucky and blessed that this location is my home base location. I don't know if it's the companies values and what they train to their employees or if the employees are busy genuinely good people and I got really lucky but I can guarantee you that no Chick-fil- a has better mannered young people with consideration. I have a double stroller and I usually walk here - the place is ADA accessible for someone in a wheelchair, they have a ramp but it doesn't have ADA accessible doors meaning that you can't press a button for the doors to open for someone that's in a wheelchair, someone has to assist them to open the door. Most of the time the staff is there to help me through the door with my double stroller and to also leave the store with someone holding for me. There hasn't been a time when I haven't seen the high chairs cleaned during my visit or a cashier going from table to table asking if we need something or if they can throw something away. The hospitality, service and ambiance is there. The food is undoubtedly amazing- no questions asked. Their grilled chicken sandwich is the best healthy choice on the "fast food market" not to mention their egg white chicken breakfast sandwich. Not only are they tasty as in well cooked and well seasoned, they're relatively healthy. This is among the few "fast food" chains that offers grilled chicken nuggets for kids which is a major hit for my children. They don't eat the grilled nuggets, they devour them. This is the fastest Chick Fil-A in the area. They are ALWAYS busy, but lines always moves quick. They are also on their A-game, I commend the team leaders and managers. There is never one transaction, someone forgets to say my pleasure. It's not even expected, but this restaurant sets an example for others. Nothing ever goes missing in my bag, all condiments and utensils are there. They don't short out on sauces like other places. Great job guys! Food is always fresh and hot. Very convenient if you're using the drive thru because they actually have two lanes. However, there's plenty of parking in the back. This area makes it tough to make a decision - within a half mile radius you have: - Culver's - Shake Shack - That Burger - Portillo's - In N Out (just kidding) And finally - Chick-fil-A!!! Not the best fast food, but their customer service is great, there's a play room for kids, and the restaurant and bathroom are clean. There's an online nutrition and allergen menu, but if you need more details, the cashier or manager can print out all the ingredients of a particular menu item(s) if you ask. Once, the manager came out with a bag of cookies and said a previous customer forgot to pick it up, so he offered it to our family for free. They also have those disposable sticky placemats for kids! I've never seen a restaurant provide that for free. Their sandwiches and nuggets are good but not great, but at least they're consistent, and there's a variety of sauces to go with them. (This review was also posted to Google maps) I've had various levels of success at this location, but the poor implementation of mobile curbside service during my last visit prompted me to write this review. With the recent restrictions on entering the dining room, I decided to order through the Chick Fil-A app for a curbside order on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 pm. When I arrived, I checked in and entered my space number. My card was charged, and I was told that my order would be ready soon. In the meantime, I saw that the restaurant was pretty busy, with a steady stream of cars entering and exiting the drive through. After about a 4 minute wait, I was alerted on my phone that my order was complete and would be out soon. As I sat in my car, I continued to watch the succession of cars that were being serviced in the drive through line, through my rear view mirror, being that the space I parked in was right in front of its exit. I continued to wait, and counted the number of cars that were served in the drive through. Once I counted 15 cars be served, and saw that 12 minutes had passed since the "your order will be out soon" alert, I decided to move to the drive through line to pick up my order myself. By the time I got my order, which was without an apology for the oversight, but simply a large bag thrust towards me, with a "here you go", about 20 minutes had passed from the time I pulled into my curbside spot and checked in. The food, namely the thick waffle fries that were part of both combos that I ordered were lukewarm. I would have turned around to ask for new fries, but the drive through line had gotten even longer. Needless to say, I'll be hesitant to try this method of ordering again, and will wait until our social distancing guidelines are lifted to visit again. read more
