BEWARE!! The marketing for this RV Park is very deceiving. We pulled up and were shocked at the state of disrepair. There are things they can't control like the "marina" being a mud pit. But the facilities are a whole other thing! The office (shack) is a mess, roof torn off, siding/paint pealing. RV sites are undesirable as they are very close to the road (75 - 100 yards from the freeway). Grass was dead. The "beach" was NOT a beach, it is a boat launch. I will say this, the 15 yr old in charge was very nice and professional when we requested a refund. The other staff member (maybe 17) said there was nothing they could do because EPIC doesn't want to make it EPIC - Haha. Their hands are tied he said... they were embarrassed, and I was embarrassed for them. Just take our word for it and stay at Sun Outdoors down the street!!! read more

This location used to be wonderful. I've been staying with Epic for over a decade, and they have really gone downhill. The bathrooms were not clean at all, amenities they used to offer are gone, high prices for a tiny spot to park in, and its hard to find anyone to help you check in/out (and when you do find someone, its not a welcoming experience). I'm sure the family is making a ton of cash, but the experience they used to offer is long gone. Overbooked, no boat slips any more, draconian cancellation policy, just a tourist trap for pushing people through. Super sad. read more

Epic fail. I have never rented from such an unprofessional company. Equipment was outdated and overpriced. The staff was dishonest and unprofessional. We rented a specific pontoon boat and they tried to give us an older version that wouldn't start. Brenna said "oh yeah this boat is the same one as you requested to rent" then later proceeded to tell us it was smaller, not as nice, older and slower than our original rental boat. Would not recommend renting equipment from this company. read more

Both our ATV's and Wakesurf boat worked great. We ended up having to buy a tire for the ATV because a rock took out a chunk from the sidewall and flattened it. Make sure you drive OVER the rocks, not through them on the trails. However, the staff got someone to come up and change the tire for us. The Wakesurf boat was SOO Fun! Completely recommend renting a few toys from these guys while at Bear Lake. read more

just now We rented a water trampoline there yesterday. They are located on a boat ramp with no other access to the water. We had to battle boats to swim out to the trampoline with our little kids. The people putting their boats in on the ramp couldn't see us and my sister almost got hit. The water was not shallow for very far and it was a long swim for the littles. It took 20 mins of our rented hour just to swim out there. The trampoline itself was not in great condition. The ladder wasn't even attached when we finally got out there. The mat around the springs wasn't attached, exposing the springs and metal frame making it pretty dangerous to have more than a few people on it. Our smaller kids couldn't even get up the ladder. I would not recommend this location or company to rent a water trampoline from. Our kids didn't enjoy it making for a wasted $60. read more

Don't rent from epic!. Poor outdated equipment. One Wave Runner we rented displayed a engine warning light. Wasted more than an hour. Didn't give us a discount. Time to get on the water was 1pm. They weren't ready until 1:20pm. No refund and no allowance to return them late :( read more

They told us to leave after paying $20 because we parked on the beach after an hour we were threatened with a tricket for parking in the beach. They would not refund our money and never told us we could not park on the beach. The teenage workers were rude and difficult to work with and said they would delete the negative reviews on facebook. The took our money saying " let me trade you" as the worker took our $20 bill and handed us a parking pass. Never saying a WORD about where to park. Several other vehicles were parked at the beach and I don't know if they were treated the same. I will NEVER return to this beach and am a local and frequent the area often. We were not given fair warning and treated like dirt! Go to the state park at North Beach. read more

We only stayed one night but it was amazing- close to the lake, boat dock with launch and rentals available! we fished and played volleyball and at the park they have on site. Absolutely horrible!! This rating should be a Zero! I booked and paid for my rentals at the Epic Rental desk on the North beach. Upon paying in full and returning back to Epic Rentals as our plans were all set for all of our rentals. The same girl that accepted my payment and reservation assisted us in gear selection / life vests gave us the "go ahead" to proceed as planned. My son and daughter who are 15 & 16 years go ahead to the water as planned which is approximately 100 plus yards away from the check-in desk. Then the same girl from Epic Rentals that had been helping me all along realized she didn't have me complete all the needed forms and stated "you can't go out until you fill out the waiver forms" I asked her why wouldn't you tell me this before now, and moreover when its my booked time and my kids are already down on the water? While my kids are now already getting on the water and I have to try and catch them but couldn't because of the distance from the check-in to the water. When I expressed my frustrations to her she seemed very aloof and dismissive about the situation she had put me in. As planned they were supposed to go meet up with other family and friends down on the shore. Due to the circumstances of the girl working at Epic Rentals inability to properly perform her job functions for rentals and rental agreements she botched our family plans at the lake. read more

Worst RV park we have ever encountered and we have put over 20,000 miles on our Motorhome. We reserved 1 night Sept. 16th. When we arrived no one in the office, but a note attached to window stating, please call and someone will be over shortly over to help you. We Called and called and called....a total of 10 times in 3 hours. We started calling other Rv Parks in the area an all were full, so there were empty spots so shortly before dark we pulled in and hooked up to water and power. We also had called two days before our reservation to confirm and left message and we called the day before we left and left a message. No one ever returned our call but our Visa card was charged. Also the restrooms and showers were open, but filthy. I'm sure one could catch a disease if they used them. read more

We scheduled a boat rental and no one ever indicated that we would have to wade through knee deep water for a while to get to our boat. Consequently, we were not prepared with footwear, needing to carry ice chests, supplies and other preps necessary for a successful experience. The boat was good, clean, and the staff was pleasant, but in our experience, there are better rental facilities in Bear Lake. read more

We rented a 2018 mb boat for surfing. I was really excited to use/check out this boat since the one we have at home is a 2001. We got the half day and paid about $600. I felt this was very expensive but would be worth it since this boat was built for surfing. We showed up and got in the boat. the first thing I notice is that the snap in carpet was gone. This left a hard fiberglass bottom that was unsafe and slippery. I figured ok whatever let's see how it surfs. We started to set it up for surfing only to find out that the ballast bags had been removed from the back lockers. After 2 hours We couldn't even get a surf wave that compared even remotely close to our 2001 with 500lbs in the one back corner. I was pretty upset at this point. We then decided to try and wakeboard, only to find that there was no rope onboard to go with the toy package we added that included the surfboard/tube/skis/wakeboard. At this point we had about 1.5 hours left on the rental. We ended up listening to music in the middle of the lake for the remainder of the time. When we returned, I explained my concerns with the employees and they said you have already been charged for the full amount, I would have to take it up with the manager and was given a number to call. I called this number several times and left messages. I never received any call back or compensation for the terrible experience. This boat was completely trashed and had not been taken care of. I will never rent nor recommend anyone to epic rentals. read more

Crowded RV park, with campsites stacked right on top of one another. We reserved a "lake view" camp spot for a 36 foot trailer. When we arrived, we were offered site "0", with the "best view of the lake". The view of the lake was amazing, now if we could only cut our trailer in half we just might fit into this spot. And who begins numbering with "0" anyway? The guy at the desk worked with us and found a small, but doable spot on the second row that we could just squeeze our trailer into. This isn't the worst RV park I've ever stayed at, but I'm not sure that I'd be heading back anytime soon. As an added bonus, since you're basically bumping elbows with the campers next door, you're really get to know your neighbors well, so be prepared to meet some off the wall characters. Any have any advice on how to respond to a couple staying in a tent next to us who brought along a tethered bird as a camping companion? Sure, falcons are cool and all, but really, who ties up a bird and brings it camping? Oh, and some good advice, there a no fire rings here, so be sure to ask the desk for a portable fire ring. They will lend you one for free, you just need to know to ask for it. read more
