Update - I was pleased with how our flowers turned out! Our arch was amazing, and I loved my husband's boutonniere! I seriously love love loved our arch. My bouquet was a little underwhelming but still very nice...I guess I just expected it to have more roses than it did and less babies breath? Nevertheless, it was beautiful. Dottie was really ill the day of my wedding so her fiancé stepped in and assembled the arch, pinned on the boutonnieres and sprinkled all the petals. It looked beautiful and I am very happy with our decision to go with Dottie. I reached out to Dottie once after the wedding to make sure she received the card I had given her fiancé and to thank her again, but I still have not heard anything back, hope she is doing ok! Dottie is amazing! She is so talented and I had such a wonderful time planning with her. It was such a fun collaboration. She had creative solutions for the jumble of ideas that I had, down to the table numbers! She is on it! Dottie created everything I asked of her. I provided Dottie with my late grandmother's ribbons and lace and she used them perfectly in the bouquets and centerpieces. She was more than happy to work with these important pieces. Eric such did a fabulous job on my wedding ceremony & reception flowers this past Friday, December 12, 2014, in Temecula CA. Everything was PERFECT and oh so gorgeous. Eric was kind, accommodating and he listened to everything I wanted (and didn't want) in my arrangements & bouquets. I am a flower person, I have worked in florists and/or with floral designers my entire teenage and adult life. I have very definite opinions about flowers and Eric exceeded my expectations. If I ever get married again (HA HA HA) to my 'husband', I will seek out Eric to work with all over again... Thank you!!! I've waited about 7 months to write a review as I am still reeling with anger about the events that took place. If I could rate Epic Stems a zero - I would. So many things were wrong, I'm not sure where to start. I will start by saying that I'm happy for the people that had a good experience, I really am. I wish our wedding turned out as well as others describe but ours did not...not even close. Flowers are such an integral part of the ceremony and reception. And we had no flowers at the time our wedding was due to start and none for any of the photo's that were taken prior to the ceremony. We had no idea wwhat we were going to do. We had no idea where the flowers were or when they were going to arrive. People were looking up local florists because we were in a state of panic. It was terrible!! I was in tears -- how could i walk down the aisle without a bouquet??? The contract stated that she would arrive at 2:30pm (my wedding started at 4pm). She did not even deliver the flowers! She hired someone else who had no idea where to go to deliver them. We were NEVER made aware of a 3rd party being contracted to deliver the flowers. Regardless, directions should have been made clear to the 3rd party of the agreed upon details. During the course of the chaos, she did not answer our repeated attempts to contact her for hours. She never provided the contact number for the people who were delivering the flowers. We could have provided direction on how to get to the location... but no... not contact number. The flowers arrived nearly an hour after my wedding was supposed to start making everything from that point forward rushed and chaotic. The flowers never made it on the arch because we had no time for it. We had to hurry and start the ceremony. It was already an hour past the scheduled start time. The centerpieces were nice. My husbands boutonniere was pink (not purple as it should have been). My bouqet was much smaller than I anticipated. These are really minor in the grand scheme of things - the major issue was that the flowers did not arrive on time or even close to it. It ruined so many events of our wedding. It breaks my heart when I think about the flower issues. The flowers not arriving was the last thing that I would have thought would go wrong. I have tried to forget the horrible experience I've had but I am reminded of it constantly. I cried the first time I saw the photos of my wedding and there are no flowers on the ceremony arch, reception tables, on the groomsmen lapels or in my bridesmaids hands. It was a giant mess. Dottie called the whole thing an "unfortunate occurrence". Really? Ruining our wedding is not an unfortunate occurrence. I was offended by this statement. Dottie and her team did the flowers for my wedding two weeks ago in Palos Verdes, California. The flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS. From the arch decoration and the centerpieces to the wrist and pin-on corsages, every arrangement was stunning. Very classic and tasteful. More than we hoped for. My son sent me flowers on my birthday. It was an elegant, unique and beautiful arrangement. Unfortunately, it accidently fell and the vase shattered the next day. There are not enough words to describe how amazing Dottie is! I got married this past July at Malibou Lake Mountain Club and Dottie truly made my wedding so beautiful. When it came to flowers...I really didn't know much. I knew what colors I wanted and the main flower I wanted to incorporate, but that was about it. Dottie sat with me and helped me come up with so many different options that I could use. We ended up coming up with arrangements for the ceremony, cocktail area and my reception. She also put together my bridesmaids, along with my bouquet and all the boutonnieres for the groomsman. She pinned each boutonniere for each guy, which was such a nice personal touch, as well. She had many of the items in house already...such as the vases, shepard's hooks, mason jars, tea candles and the beautiful arch for the ceremony.
