First time checking out Escondido's newest former wings and things. To my surprise this place was large, had many updates to the decor (reminds me now of another wing sports bar restaurant chain), and this one had a bar! Perfect local spot if you wanna watch the game. I wish the menu had more options but my bf and I grabbed a wing and tender combo. The protein part of the meal was delicious. I never cared for the former restaurant but I've learned that the medium buffalo is the sauce to get. The blue cheese was great too. I don't really care for breadsticks in general but they were massive and the veggies tasted fresh. The restaurant was clean, the service was average (not bad nor exceptional) I'll be back, my experience was nothing like these one star reviews. If I find out they play the ufc fights I'll come back and give this place another star. read more

This has been my first time having Epic Wings for a couple years! Me & my husband decided to try this place since we were craving wings and have heard a lot of good things about their food. I'd have to say, this is one of the nicest locations I've ever been to (compared to the San Marcos location). Lots of ample parking in the plaza its located in. Very clean and spacious inside, with the bar right in the center of the restaurant. Service was spectacular! The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and patient with us while deciding what to order, and answered my questions very patiently. We decided to go with the Single 6-pc bone-in chicken combo with the Combo #2 to try their Epic Chicken Fries! We sat by the big tap room, which was really interesting. Food was served fairly fast, maybe only waited about 5-8 minutes. The chicken was so hot & fresh! Though in my opinion, the flavor of the garlic parmesan wings were lacking. It's a bit too dry for my liking. Though, the breadsticks and the fries were our favorites! We got lemon pepper chicken tenders in the fries, so I think the chicken tenders were the real winners here! Would I come back again? I stopped in for some strips (Parmesan Garlic) and they were absolutely delicious. I was greeted by the store manager - I came at the right time....Padres were on TV in a tie ballgame....I ordered a Pacifico with my meal and had a seat directly in front of the TV. My food was perfect...hot strips...hot fresh breadsticks and the veggies all nice and cold, crisp. As I sat it was just really impressive from the manager who was doing interviews and taking time in between to walk the store as she was doing other things and talking to the customers - checking in to see how they were. Customer service here is top notch by the employees. The manager here....I can see from her greeting me to watching and hearing her do her interviews....is just an incredible person, so personable and kind...they are lucky to have her. Instead of changing the wording I am jumping the email I sent to the manager of the store- I am writing to bring to your attention a very disappointing experience my family had at your Epic Wings location this evening. We are consistent, loyal customers and have always enjoyed your food, which is why tonight's interaction was so surprising and upsetting. My husband called in an order for pickup and arrived at the store with our daughter to retrieve it. Upon entering, the woman behind the counter did not greet him or ask if he needed assistance and instead completely ignored them until they spoke up. When my husband provided the name for the order, she abruptly stated that they did not have it and suggested--rudely--that he may have called a different Epic Wings location a few miles away. When he politely asked if she happened to have that address, her response was, "No, you can look it up." Thankfully, my husband called the other location before driving there, only to find that they also did not have the order. He then returned to your store and again asked the employee to please check, offering his phone number for reference. She responded dismissively, asking, "Why would I need your phone number?" My husband then showed proof that he had called your location, including the time of the call. At that point, a second employee stepped in and reviewed the orders. She realized that the order had been written under the wrong name--"Jonathan" instead of my husband's name, Austin. The order was an exact match to what he had placed. While we did ultimately receive our food, the entire situation could have been resolved much sooner and more respectfully had the staff been willing to listen and assist rather than brushing my husband and daughter off repeatedly. I am extremely disappointed by how disrespectfully they were treated. This experience was embarrassing, frustrating, and completely unnecessary. Given the poor customer service and inconvenience, I truly believe our order should have been refunded and that some form of compensation is warranted. I hope you will address this issue with your staff, as this level of service does not reflect what we expect as loyal customers. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding how this matter will be handled. read more

I put a phone order at 6:50 pm and the guy said it'll be ready in 20 minutes so i left and i waited over an hour for my order people kept on coming and going. Orders were going out. They were big orders to like mine. If they were going to take longer than 20 minutes they should've said so not just lie about it. Actually be truthful about how long it's actually gonna take. Honestly dont put phone orders just put online if anything because youll just waste your time waiting for the food. Im not sure if they forgot my order or something but i even paid when i came to ask for it! The chicken fries with garlic butter chicken is really good. The kids that work there are nice but I do think they need a bartender, if they are serving beer. I am particularly a fan of Epic Wings' breadsticks IF and only IF they are extra wet. So, when I place orders at an Epic Wings location, I always order my breadsticks extra wet. I want them nearly drowning in the garlic butter sauce. A few locations have trouble honoring this request or following instructions. I placed my order at this location recently and they absolutely followed instructions and I was so thrilled! I love the Epic Chicken Salad and they have it on the menu at this location! They used to serve it years ago at my local Wings and Things. I would order it every time I went and then it was gone. Well.. here it is at this newer Wings and Things 14 miles away from where I live. It's just as good as I remember. On a side note, I tried the new mango habanero sauce and I'm not a fan. Went in today for Super Bowl Sunday and it could not have been busier. I saw about 50 orders just sitting there when I walked in and a lot of people just standing around waiting. I waited over an hour for the food which was not even that good. You'd think they would be prepared for what is obviously their biggest day of the whole year but it was pure chaos inside. I see a lot of negative reviews about this location so I want to say a few things. First, I've never had a bad experience here, everyone has always been friendly. Second, out of all the locations I've been too this one has the best wings. They are always juicy, I've never gotten a fry wing or tenderloin here. As for the people complaining about the staff being rude. You were probably rude first. This generation will not tolerate customers being rude. You give attitude you get it right back. As someone who works in retail/food service myself I deal with entitled customers who think they are right all the time. If you have an issue with your food approach the staff with the concern, but don't be rude about it. It's not hard to be a decent human being. If it were me if you were rude I would say I'd be rude back but, I wouldn't be friendly (take that as being rude if you want) and do the bare minimum to fix it, if you were nice about it then I would go out of my way to fix the issue. According to their online menu, which is very limited. You can't choose any other flavors (e.g. garlic parmesan, lemon pepper,...) for actual wings (boneless are just breaded & fried nuggets) other than Original Buffalo. After creating a login and choosing Order Online, the screen goes mostly blank and there's no way to order. So we called, like five times, and got a busy signal every damn time. So my husband drove all the way out there, because my friend really wanted wings from there for her birthday, otherwise we wouldn't have bothered. They take 40 minutes to complete an order! Basically, it's chicken nuggets, which can go in the fryer for a few minutes, then get tossed in seasoning, then put in a container. Add carrot/celery sticks and breadsticks that should be ready all the time, and what takes so freaking long about that?  Got the order. Everything, I mean, EVERY boneless "wing" order -- lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, and sweet chili boneless -- was also DRENCHED in spicy Buffalo sauce. We didn't ask for that. And it was too spicy for our people to eat! It was my friend's birthday dinner. She loves this place, but she and her kids couldn't even eat the dinner. We spent a lot of money and travel to get something NO ONE in our house will eat! Who pours Buffalo sauce over those other flavors? And why? None of them asked for Buffalo sauce. NONE!
