I love Cajun seafood boils and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the garlic noodles, some iced tea, Cajun fries, a combo #3 and a customized bag. Combo #3 had crab legs and shrimp. I love me a seafood boil! The seasoning was great and the spicy level is accurate. I tried mussels, crab, and shrimp here and it was so flavorful! One of my favorite things surprisingly was the calamari which had such a nice batter and crunch to it. The dipping sauce for the different appetizers and or fried food was tasty as well! If you are not into seafood boil, they have chicken wings, po boy sandwiches which sound amazing! The restaurant is fairly big and super clean. You can easily dine here with a party of 2 to 10. Love having a local Cajun seafood boil spot in Escondido so I don't have to drive far! I placed a pickup order to bring a "snack" over to my parents' house and got Combo #3, which features a Dungeness crab, a pound of shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes. I tried the Atomic sauce at a mild level; it was still a bit spicy and slightly oily, but definitely tolerable. The crab was a little dry, but the flavors were good. Both were delicious-each combo is good for 2 people without really any additions (unless you want more sausage-probably a good idea or corn). Came here on a weeknight and it was not busy at all I seated immediately. I was a fan of the ambience and the different decor of the ocean and crafts. I think the sauce could use a little bit more depth of flavor, and the saltiness with just enough. I ordered the combo B and it was more than enough for two people. My friends kept going to this spot over and over and they invited me to check it out the next time I was in the area. We went there on a Sunday around noon time. We also ordered some hard boiled eggs on the side. We chose all the sauces mixed for both bags, then one on with medium spice, one with just a tiny bit of spice. Service was quick. The order with snow crab came out in a tin pan; the other order came out in a big plastic bag. It would have been hard to serve ourselves from that and a big mess. We had to ask for it to be dumped in a metal bowl. Both of the sauces were exactly the same, both on the spicy side, almost a little too spicy for those that wanted very little spice. We were a party of 6, sharing everything. They also did not provide anything to put our shells in. We had to request another pan. Just not much attention to detail. I wasn't impressed with the sausage. It didn't have that nice "snap" when I bit into it. All of the seafood tasted pretty bland. I'm not sure if it's because it was cooked separately and the sauce was poured on top or maybe it wasn't thawed before it was cooked. It had a good kick to it without being overbearing, though I do have a high spice tolerance, so your mileage may vary. Sauce also had a flavorful garlic touch that compliments the crab well and also does wonders for the potatoes and sausages. The atmosphere and decorations were nice. Had the chance to talk with the owners, and they were very down to earth people! The wall art was done by them and I think details like this goes a long way in showing that they care a lot.
