I tried Epic Wings and honestly it just wasn't it. The food didn't sit well with me afterward. I'm not sure what it was but the fries had way too much sauce on them which made them hard to enjoy. The pizza stick was a letdown too, it was a little raw on the inside and had way too much cheese. The bread sticks were also pretty plain with very little flavor. On top of that the chicken in all the meals had a weird grainy texture which was pretty off putting. Overall it wasn't my favorite and I don't really see myself going back. read more

The manager was very helpful, and friendly. I ordered the sweet chili wings. The boneless wings were huge. The sauce was way to sweet and not enough heat. My son ordered a lemon pepper dry rub. The owner of this place is so sweet! He personally comes out of the kitchen to greet everyone that walks in and out of the restaurant. I even saw him helping the cooks cook the meals. I love a person of authority not afraid to get in there! The lady that took our order had an AirPod in and wasn't overly nice or helpful, even after telling her it was our first time. I've had Epic Wings in California before, this is the only location in Texas that exists at this time. It was a bit out of the way for me, since I don't live close, but definitely worth the drive. I visited this restaurant a few days ago and ordered a 48pc wings, 24 pc wings, and two side salads. Total $138 (very expensive considering the wings didn't come with fries). The salads consisted of lettuce, red onion, green peppers, and old/frozen cucumbers. I returned the salads due to quality and requested a refund. The cashier gave me two separate return receipts, I thought that was odd. I didn't say anything because I did return two salads and thought maybe that's the way the handle refunds. After waiting a couple of days for my credit, I only received credit for one salad (not both). After looking at my return receipts, the same transaction number is on both receipts (so I was only credited for one). $8.11 isn't a lot of money, but I just wanted to make everyone aware of their refund practices. Make sure you check your refund receipt when asking for a refund of an item. read more

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see such a nice, clean chicken restaurant. They have a plethora of flavors to choose from. My husband chose the medium Buffalo chicken tenders. We did not expect the size on them thangs!!! (I guess we've been burned badly on the thought of huge tenders!) But this trip has changed all sorrow! The ginormous size of the tenders did NOT disappoint, and the flavor was there! Nicely seasoned Buffalo sauce dressed the chicken well. My husband got 12 for 25$, but he could only eat three because they were so huge! I had to get in on the action and try it myself. I had one and it was full of fun!!! Came here opening day a few months back. I got a chance to meet the business owner. He was one of the nicest caring people ive ever met. Since it was the first day, I didn't have my card only Apple Pay and he said it wasn't working so he gave me and the person I came with free food. So for context, I grew up eating at Epic Wings (originally it was Wings n Things) and it has always been my FAVORITE place for wings and especially breadsticks. I was soooo very excited that after moving from my homestate with plentiful Epic Wings to here that they finally opened an Epic Wings in SA and I could cure my garlic breadstick cravings! Unfortunately, my experience with this Epic Wings was disappointing. I ordered the garlic mild tendies meal. Right before it arrived, the staff told me they accidently made the parm tendies but could ladel the sauce on for me. Oh well, I thought, at least I get the tasty sauce. When the food did arrive, the sauce was just lack luster and the breadsticks looked...not like they ever had at all the other locations. The bread had this weird crackly texture and little flavor. The ends were very hard like croutons and there was no garlic like they usually have. When I bit into my first tendie, there were tiny bones in my mouth that I had to spit out?! I still am not sure if it was in the breading or the actual meat (which would be weird for a tender), but it was unpleasant and I didn't finish obviously. The other chicken was without bones luckily, but was very underwhelming and did not taste like it should. My last trip to an Epic was literally the night before I moved earlier this year, so this was a total bummer that nothing tasted like it usually did at the many other locations I've been to back home. I give 3 stars because it could have been worse and the staff was really kind. But I hope they get some retraining on what it's supposed to taste like, texture, flavor and all.
