Do not sign up their team does not care about your needs. Plus they are rude. they will say anything to get you to commit and sign the contract and anything you have told them or they have agreed will not be written in. I told them I could only sign up if I could leave in a month as I was moving to Mexico. They said this was no problem that I could cancel and would not have to pay. Not once did they tell me I had to be locked in at 45 days. Then they rushed me to sign the contract by saying to fill the form to pay check the box then come in to take about the contract. I wonder how many other people they are lying to and giving false promises to sign up? as you can see in the text he ghosted me.

I have not been able to use Crunch for about 2 months because of a serious medical issue. I provided medical documentation from my doctor's office confirming the condition and asked for a medical freeze. Crunch gave me a one-month "courtesy" freeze (a.k.a ended up being the month that I paid in advanced in signup, laughable it's called courtesy), but refused to extend it unless I go back to my doctors and get a separate custom doctor's note on letterhead specifically for Crunch, stating the recommended duration away from gym activity. This is a monthly gym membership. Not a disability benefits filing. Not a government agency. Not a court proceeding. A gym membership. The way this policy comes across is almost comical: even if you were dealing with terminal illness, better make sure you ask your doctor for the special Crunch gym paperwork on letterhead before you die, because apparently normal medical documentation is not enough!!!!!!! No common-sense exception. No discretion. No recognition that someone with a serious medical issue may not want to waste doctors' time generating custom paperwork for a gym freeze. To be fair, the local staff responded quickly and politely. But the policy is ridiculous and this experience was outrageous enough that it motivated writing a negative review.. You would expect less b.s. than this paying $120 a month "Signature" tier. Maybe it's not the local branch's fault, but change the disgusting "corporate policy" please.

I actually signed up for my membership at this location and every staff member has been kind and attentive during every visit. The layout of the gym is great, and they even have a pool! The locker rooms are slightly smaller than some other locations, but it's not that big of a deal. I like that they have a good deal of woodway treadmills as well! I took both my complimentary Pilates and persona training sessions at this location and have amazing things to say about both! The Pilates was slightly different from the SLT I am used to, but I could feel the slower movements helping my body move and stretch in great ways. My trainer, Tim, was absolutely incredible too. He made sure to cater to my goals, lifestyle, and workout experience and did not pressure me to continue sessions with him (which can be awkward) although I probably will! Can't wait to come back!

This equipment is used by members with bare feet and should be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Seeing piles of visibly dirty fins sitting out like this is unacceptable for a premium gym. I didn't have much hope that this would be a "real workout" after reading about EMS training online…read moreI thought it was too good to be true. I was sore for 2 days straight after this!! When you walk in, you are given some long shorts and a shirt in your size to change into in one of the three dressing rooms. You can then leave your belongings in one of the lockers and start your workout. Your instructor will wet a suit and then help you put it on and get all hooked up to the machine. This suit is a $5 one time rental or you can rent more permanently I believe. Afterwards, you will workout for 15-20 minutes doing some movements guided by your instructor, who also adjusts the intensity of the pulses the machine emits. They let me know this equals about 4 hours in the gym. The workout does get quite intense as most people are not familiar with the machine's pulsing sensations, but tensing your muscles does help! Afterwards, they encourage you to rest, stretch and drink water. There are showers available here as well. As I only went for the trial session and am not too familiar with this kind of fitness, I can't speak on the total efficacy of consistent sessions, but I will say the soreness I felt was real, and I imagine that this would probably be beneficial to some looking to diversify their training, especially those that might not have a full hour to devote to a workout that day. They're on ClassPass as well and super easy to book!

My contract was for 6 months, but I was charged for 7 months of sessions, and the amounts billed were not accurate. For example, the contract stated $225, but I was charged $287.38. Im not sure what the other reviewers problem was - seems like some kind of personal vendetta review. My experience has been great. The equipment is top notch, the staff and trainers are helpful and pretty damn friendly. The gym and changing rooms are clean and yes - as that other reviewer mentioned, it is not that crowded, which I consider a plus. I get to use the machines I want - when I want. And the price compared to the other high end gyms is a deal. My only slight issue is that the steam/sauna are currently closed but I believe that they will soon be open. My workouts have been much more consistent because I find myself actually wanting to go to the gym.

Unfortunately, my experience was one of the worst gym experiences I have ever had. When I arrived for my tour, the person who was supposed to give the tour wasn't there. Another employee named Mike stepped in. Before even getting to the tour, he started asking me a long series of questions. The entire interaction gave me a very uncomfortable feeling. The best words I can use to describe the experience are pretentious and patronizing. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was being interrogated. The questions kept coming one after another, and the overall tone made me so uncomfortable that I decided not to continue with the tour and left. Afterward, I texted Mike and explained how I felt. I told him that I felt interrogated and that the interaction had made me uncomfortable. To his credit, he apologized and offered for me to come back the next day for a tour and an hour-long training session. I agreed and returned the following Tuesday. What happened during that training session only reinforced my impression that the questions from the day before were not being asked from a place of genuine concern for my goals, health, or fitness journey. The reason I say that is because despite having spent a significant amount of time asking me questions the previous day, Mike appeared to remember virtually none of it. He asked me many of the exact same questions all over again. Even when I answered, it often felt like he wasn't really listening. The workout itself felt strangely structured. The first thing he had me do was get on a treadmill for 30 minutes. Personally, I usually stretch before working out because I believe in preparing and priming my body before exercise, but there was no stretching. I was simply put on the treadmill. While I was on the treadmill, he talked about being in a specific "fat-burning range." I am not convinced by that explanation and did not find it particularly convincing. He also told me that the walking I normally do is not enough. From my understanding, movement is movement, and fat loss primarily comes down to maintaining a caloric deficit. The advice left me questioning whether the information being presented was actually accurate. After putting me on the treadmill, Mike walked away. Thirty minutes later he came back and told me that this was not normally how he structures workouts and that normally exercise would come before cardio. That left me wondering why the session was being run this way in the first place. When we finally moved on to the exercises, I felt talked down to. For example, when he brought me to a hamstring curl machine, he asked whether I had ever seen or used a machine like that before. Maybe that question was innocent, but given the overall tone of our interactions, it came across as if he assumed I had never stepped foot in a gym before. What made that especially odd was that he had already asked whether I had a gym membership, and I had told him that I did. So being repeatedly spoken to in a way that felt dismissive or overly simplistic became frustrating. Another thing that stood out was the way the gym's equipment was discussed. GymU uses Panatta equipment, so I asked what specifically made the equipment special compared to equipment at other gyms. The answer I received focused primarily on the fact that it was expensive and that it was made by a famous bodybuilder. I was expecting an explanation about biomechanics, functionality, training advantages, or something related to performance. Instead, the emphasis seemed to be on prestige and price. Throughout the conversation, Mike repeatedly spoke about GymU as though it were the best gym in the world. Personally, I found that difficult to reconcile with my experience. There are many gyms with similar amenities and strong reputations, so I was left wondering what specifically justified that claim. After my training session, I used the sauna. In my opinion, it was surprisingly lukewarm. I barely broke a sweat. Then came the worst part of the entire experience. I went to take a shower, and when I stepped out, there were no mats or other visible slip-resistant surfaces where I exited. The floor was wet and slippery. I slipped, fell, and injured my right elbow. As I write this review, I have extremely limited mobility in that elbow. I have been doing nearly everything one-handed. I don't yet know the full extent of the injury, but the pain has been significant enough that it has affected my daily life, school responsibilities, and ability to get ready for my day. The experience was upsetting enough that I nearly had a breakdown from the frustration and pain. What disappointed me almost as much as th
