Great location. Dropped in on December 31 and they were actually open and even had a class at 4 pm!…read moreThe chisel class was amazing. Right on point. Clean nice location with lots of great equipment. No sauna or steam room.

Terrible experience with Crunch 19th Street. First upfront, it's a good location and equipment too…read more But the problem is, if you're signing up, be ready to sign your soul away. I have not been able to use Crunch for about 2 months because of a serious medical issue. I provided medical documentation from my doctor's office confirming the condition and asked for a medical freeze. Crunch gave me a one-month "courtesy" freeze (a.k.a ended up being the month that I paid in advanced in signup, laughable it's called courtesy), but refused to extend it unless I go back to my doctors and get a separate custom doctor's note on letterhead specifically for Crunch, stating the recommended duration away from gym activity. This is a monthly gym membership. Not a disability benefits filing. Not a government agency. Not a court proceeding. A gym membership. The way this policy comes across is almost comical: even if you were dealing with terminal illness, better make sure you ask your doctor for the special Crunch gym paperwork on letterhead before you die, because apparently normal medical documentation is not enough!!!!!!! No common-sense exception. No discretion. No recognition that someone with a serious medical issue may not want to waste doctors' time generating custom paperwork for a gym freeze. To be fair, the local staff responded quickly and politely. But the policy is ridiculous and this experience was outrageous enough that it motivated writing a negative review.. You would expect less b.s. than this paying $120 a month "Signature" tier. Maybe it's not the local branch's fault, but change the disgusting "corporate policy" please.

I had an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience with Milan Kelez at Liftonic. Milan…read moreapproached me about becoming a trainer and invited me to work with him one-on-one after his 12:30 p.m. classes to help prepare me for the role. I entered this process expecting professional mentorship, constructive feedback, and a supportive environment. Instead, I experienced repeated belittling, harassment, and inappropriate behavior from someone who held influence over my opportunity to become a trainer. During my first class with Milan on June 22, 2026, he made an inappropriate comment after class that he "enjoyed the view" while watching me work out. I found this comment objectifying and completely unprofessional, especially coming from someone who had approached me about becoming a trainer. The situation escalated on July 15, 2026, during a practice session. Milan was dismissive and spent time on his phone while I was speaking instead of providing the attention and mentorship expected during training. He repeatedly referred to me as "green" and compared me to an "unripe fruit," using the comparison to diminish my abilities and credibility. He then told me, "It's ok, you're just not smart enough or fast enough." When I told him that those comments were inappropriate and untrue, instead of taking accountability he responded, "But it is true, it is fact." After we left the studio, Milan continued making inappropriate personal remarks, telling me I had "low self-esteem." This was unrelated to training and felt like another attempt to undermine my confidence and character. During the same interaction, he put his hand directly in my face, which I found invasive and cowardice. What is especially concerning is that Milan was the person who encouraged me to pursue this opportunity and offered to mentor me. When I asked questions and sought clarification during our one-on-one sessions, he later dismissed his role by weirdly saying, "I'm not your father" and "I'm not your personal trainer." My understanding was that these one-on-one sessions were intended for learning the format, asking questions, and receiving feedback so I could improve as a future instructor, especially because Milan had told me that the audition would not take place until August. Instead, expectations changed without clear communication, and I was met with criticism, dismissiveness, and harassment rather than the mentorship and support that had been offered. I brought my concerns to Liftonic's co-owner, Radan, but my concerns were not addressed and no accountability was taken. I believe he has a responsibility to address unacceptable behavior and ensure that the training environment is professional, respectful, and safe. Only insecure men feel the need to belittle strong and intelligent women to make themselves feel more powerful. A true mentor/trainer builds people up; they do not diminish others to compensate for their own shortcomings. A professional training environment should be built on respect, communication, and constructive feedback. My experience with Milan and Liftonic was the opposite. I would strongly caution anyone considering training here.

I didn't have much hope that this would be a "real workout" after reading about EMS training online…read moreI thought it was too good to be true. I was sore for 2 days straight after this!! When you walk in, you are given some long shorts and a shirt in your size to change into in one of the three dressing rooms. You can then leave your belongings in one of the lockers and start your workout. Your instructor will wet a suit and then help you put it on and get all hooked up to the machine. This suit is a $5 one time rental or you can rent more permanently I believe. Afterwards, you will workout for 15-20 minutes doing some movements guided by your instructor, who also adjusts the intensity of the pulses the machine emits. They let me know this equals about 4 hours in the gym. The workout does get quite intense as most people are not familiar with the machine's pulsing sensations, but tensing your muscles does help! Afterwards, they encourage you to rest, stretch and drink water. There are showers available here as well. As I only went for the trial session and am not too familiar with this kind of fitness, I can't speak on the total efficacy of consistent sessions, but I will say the soreness I felt was real, and I imagine that this would probably be beneficial to some looking to diversify their training, especially those that might not have a full hour to devote to a workout that day. They're on ClassPass as well and super easy to book!

My contract was for 6 months, but I was charged for 7 months of sessions, and the amounts billed were not accurate. For example, the contract stated $225, but I was charged $287.38. I was also told I had 6 sessions left, but when I arrived I was informed I needed to pay for another month. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Please correct your billing records. Also, the vests were always unclean and smelled bad. Several people I recommended this workout to also stopped going because they all had bad experiences.
