They sent us a bill that we know our secondary payor will pay automatically & when I called them they stated "how can that be when we haven't billed them" - they didn't believe me when I tried to explain Medicare sends the secondary payor the claim automatically. My wife needed a new pharmacy after changing doctors for convenience. From the beginning, she felt they were very prejudicial about it, even saying "the insurance needed preauthorization" for a medication she had been taking for over a dozen years. When she called to ask what the issue was, they ran it again and it was just fine. Today, they called to say they couldn't fill the medication because the prescriber wasn't in the immediate area and they could only fill those from the immediate area. Mind you, they've filled it several times but they just "couldn't believe it hadn't been flagged before". It's from less than 3 hours away and insurance is perfectly fine-filled perfectly on time. Then it was a "Good luck finding another pharmacy!" This has been a terrible experience for my wife, who had been so happy to have the ease of a hometown pharmacy. I would suggest you avoid this pharmacy if you aren't a local or have a medication they may not agree with (Even if they don't know why you take it or your health history). It often concerns me that pharmacists have the power to make medical decisions that should be between a patient and their physician. I understand abuse of medications happens, but utilizing common sense happens, as well.

Generally I'd say that Costco has better selections at a higher quality. The one feature that has Costco beat is the scan and go feature on their app. I can scan each item from my phone and it generates a shopping cart. When I am ready to pay I can pay right on the app with any card I have on file. It creates a QR code on my phone and I can skip the lines and walk straight out the door! There is a scanner before the exit that counts the items in your cart and if it matches your receipt the attendant just waves you on. If they're is a discrepancy the attendant will scan the QR code on your phone and might rescan to confirm the purchase which is really quick. Word of advice. Remove personal items like purses, umbrellas or jackets from the cart before going through the exit scanner because the computer will count them as well and that can slow your exit.
