There was nothing on the website indicating that payment was required upfront or that the business preferred cash. When I arrived and stated that I had a scheduled appointment, the woman immediately requested payment in advance and in cash. Although I found this unusual--especially since gratuity is typically added after the service--I agreed because I had been looking forward to the massage. When I handed her my card, she then asked whether I wanted cash back, which made the interaction even more confusing and uncomfortable. When I questioned the payment process, she encouraged me to leave if I was unwilling to pay cash and/or pay upfront. The entire encounter felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Payment policies should be clearly disclosed before customers arrive, especially when appointments are booked in advance. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Massage Enjoy.
