We came here for our anniversary and booked a couples massage on Sunday the 9th. It was definitely on the pricier side, which I don't mind at all if the experience matches the cost. The massage itself was nice, but nothing particularly memorable or above average. I was expecting a more elevated experience for the price. After our massage, we changed into our swimsuits to enjoy the amenities. Unfortunately, the pool was very small and already pretty crowded around noon, so there wasn't much opportunity to relax in it. On top of that, there was a constant high pitched ringing or buzzing noise near the pool, possibly from the pool equipment. It was surprisingly loud and definitely took away from what was supposed to be a peaceful, relaxing environment. The biggest disappointment was the customer service. I asked one of the employees behind the bar where the towels were since it was my first time visiting. Instead of simply pointing me in the right direction, she scoffed and rolled her eyes as if I should have already known. It was such an unnecessary interaction and really changed the tone of our visit. After that, we decided to pack up and leave rather than stay and enjoy the rest of the amenities. I finally gave MDS a try. Happy birthday to me! I had a very good experience overall. I like that it's smallish and not too fancy. My aroma therapy massage by Briana was the best! She hit all the right spots with perfect pressure. The juniper oil was a light and relaxing scent. I would definitely ask for her again. The outdoor area is big enough and wasn't crowded. I enjoyed relaxing on a lounge chair near the jacuzzi pool. The pool is slightly heated, just enough to cool off. For lunch I had a chicken sandwich and a vodka seltzer. Having the cafe and food/drinks is an absolute must when enjoying the spa. Service was good. Locker room and shower area was clean. I would definitely return for a massage here. read more

I must start with I have had wonderful massage therapists at MDS . my review is based on the company itself. On August 30 I received a email telling me that I had to fill out a new contract and agree to a $30 monthly increase or my spa membership that I've had for many years would be canceled on the 31st. Per the email they stated they mailed this information which they did not. The abruptness of this felt very rude after all of the years I have spent there. I have stayed based just again on the Massage therapist. The facilities are old and worn out with one tiny pool. Not sure if it's supposed to be a pool or a jacuzzi . If you were going just for a massage, it is lovely. Anything else save your money and go to one of the bigger spas that have more to offer. After receiving the email and them canceling my membership ( funny they want a 30 day notice to cancel or you have to pay the additional month ) as I didn't agree to the additional fees in the one day I was given , I received a phone call saying that I needed to cancel my scheduled massage within 24 hours or would I like to still come at the full nonmember price? Really If you want to keep business in a smaller area respect the people that are loyal. read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at Murrieta Day Spa, especially considering the price point and the level of service I expected. I was using a gift card and arrived five minutes late due to an unexpected emergency that morning. I was extremely apologetic when I arrived and even offered to reschedule because I understand that spas typically ask guests to arrive early. I was in the treatment room about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, apologized again to my aesthetician, and she was very kind and reassured me that everything was fine and that I didn't need to rush. Unfortunately, my 50-minute facial ended up being only about 38 minutes. The facial itself was fine, but it felt extremely short. When I checked out and was asked how my service was, I politely mentioned that I enjoyed it but was disappointed that it had only been 38 minutes. Rather than acknowledging the concern or offering any kind of apology, Maria at the front desk responded with a very abrupt and unfriendly tone. The interaction continued that way while I was trying to provide my information and pay. Her demeanor simply did not match the level of customer service I would expect when paying premium prices for spa services. There were other small things as well. Multiple guests were struggling with the lockers while I was there, and staff did not seem particularly eager to step in or assist. I have no problem paying top dollar for a facial when the quality and experience match the price. I get facials regularly and have had several recently, so I have a reasonable idea of what to expect from this type of service. Unfortunately, this was incredibly underwhelming. Prices have increased, yet based on this visit, the level of service and customer experience has gone in the opposite direction. I left feeling like the biggest issue wasn't even the shortened facial, it was how poorly a very reasonable concern was handled. I won't be returning. read more

This last visit, unfortunately I didn't feel well after my massage. The masseuse was friendly, however, something about my massage didn't sit well with me. I have been getting massages at MDS for almost 10 years. The prices continually increase without any advance notice to customers. For example I paid $216 in June 2026 and went back in August and had to pay $250. The amenities have not kept up with the extra cost, the only things that are not additional costs are the same things that weren't additional since I have been going (ie the pool and the sauna) In the past I have been able to have a medium sized cup with water and ice brought to me, now it's self serve in a Dixie cup with no ice. It is also hard to find a massage therapist that actually knows what deep tissue is. Very disappointed in what has become of this establishment. I will be looking for other options at this point. read more

She's amazing, positive, a healer, and intuitive, also turned around a funky experience and I will go back but just for spa and then then use the spa water area only which is less chaotic. The esthetician was accommodating and not pushy for an upgrade. That's always a plus for me. When there's no push, the more inclined I am for the upsell. My boyfriend and I started with a couples Swedish massage in their upstairs room, and let me tell you--this was the way to go! The upstairs room had a cozy, intimate vibe, and my massage therapist knew exactly how to work out all the tension. Those 50 minutes went by in a flash because I was so relaxed and in a total zen state. After our massages, we treated ourselves to mimosas and an Aperol spritz, which added the perfect celebratory touch. The mineral pool was nice and soothing, though I would've preferred it a bit hotter. It was warm, but I was hoping for a hot soak. From booking over the phone, to arrival at the front desk, to the property tour, to the food and beverage staff I was treated like a VIP. The facility: The lobby, locker rooms, gift shop, sauna, massage rooms - were clean and esthetically pleasing for someone with high standards like myself. Fabulous! Me and my sister brought my mom for her birthday. We all got massages and hung out by the pool. I got an aromatherapy massage and loved it! I love the coziness of the place. It's been there for 35 years, family owned. They treat you like family and they care. It's not like the big resorts. Prices are reasonable too. All the ladies up front are kind and friendly and always welcome you with a smile. I love coming here. I always go to Irene for my facials. She's been with MDS for 27 years. She's the best! Went for a couples massage. My wife enjoyed her masseuse (Swedish massage) I requested a deep tissue and my masseuse was barely pressing down on me, she barely spoke, and did not say anything after. My wife's talked about her tension and what to do to assist with her tension. I just got a smile. My wife also got a facial and was not very impressed as the person did not explain what she was doing and was going to apply something that was not on the list of things included in the facial. Enjoyed the facility on a Friday and it was fairly busy! There is paved parking just past the facility on the right and overflow parking in a gravel parking lot in the back end of the facility. This is a co-ed spa so many couples partake on the services and amenities together! As you check-in at the front entrance in the boutique, first timers are taken on a short tour of the facility. Walking through the boutique, cafe, and the many treatment room throughout the halls. Around the corner by the dry sauna (tight fit for 4 people) there's a door that leads out to the pool bar, and outdoor lounge area. Across from the dry sauna is a door that leads to the women's locker room, showers, and restroom. It's also where the ladies wait on their masseuse to call for appointments. There is no indoor pool or jacuzzi but the outdoor pool seemed like it was heated. I didn't make use of the pool because it was a cold day out and the pool was full. The pool bar host will come by lounge chairs to take orders and check on refills. There wasn't much space inside to relax during the cold weather but we spent as long as we could outside. Went back and forth to the dry sauna when it was free and back into the locker room to cool down. Summer days would be comfortable for me to hangout all day out in the pool area. My girlfriend and I enjoyed lunch outside. We ordered some hot alcoholic beverages and shared a charcuterie board and Caprese salad. Our hot beverages were delicious! The place has more of a party vibe and a spa vibe. The mineral water pool was small but the temp was just right. Overall, the place is small and I bet it gets real crowded on the weekends. The lockers are a bit tricky to use. The amenities offered are OK. They have, water, tea, coffee, hair ties, cotton balls, q tips, shampoo conditioner and body wash. The plastic bags for your swimwear are hiding in a ceramic bowl. I do love the smell of the laundry detergent that they use. I also love the different size robes and shoes. Most spas just give you a one size fits all. The stand out of this spa was my massage therapist, Jen. She was very attentive and checked often about the pressure.
