First time stopping in I eat a lot of Mexican food and at a lot of the top taco shops in Phoenix and Tucson but been craving a chile rellano burrito which is harder to come by. All I gotta say is that it far exceeded my expectations. The burrito was out of this world! From the way it was wrapped to the Chile rellano to some of the best rice I've ever had at any Mexican joint to the salsas which tasted really fresh and the pickled vegetables. I say ignore the bad reviews use the drive through and get a Chile rellano burrito and prepare to go experience something epic! I went there today 08/08/2024. they totally messed up my order. the little girl at the window was rude and down right disgusting. I came home found out my order was wrong took it back. first when I walked in she said something in Spanish. when I said I don't know spanish. she rudely said said what do you want. Way, way, WAY too expensive for greasy, mediocre drive through taco shop. I live in the neighborhood and have been getting take out from this place for close to 20 years. It's hot, greasy, medium quality food. Its pros are that it's open very late and the food is made to order. But that's about it. Over the last few years, the prices have gone up so much that it is now more expensive than a sit down, full service, Mexican food restaurant. My last order of one single taco ($6.79) a side order of fries ($6.20!!!) and a small soda ($3.10) including a debit card fee (.60) and tax, came to almost $18. I can go to almost any Mexican food restaurant in town and get full service, unlimited chips and salsa, unlimited drink refills, and significantly better quality food, for that same amount. The drive through is also extremely slow (like 15-20 minutes to get your order) the intercom/speaker never works right, and the place is pretty dirty. About 30% of the time the order is not correct. Its Friday at 11:00pm not many places open in the area so we stop here after checking yelp. Some Mexican food sounds good. We pull up and can barely understand the guy through the drive through, not because he hardly spoke English but because their speaker is not working correctly. I manage to ask the guy what's the price for one fried chicken taco and he tells me, cool don't want that instead I go for the rolled tacos with guacamole. Pull up the window and the guy gives me the total which is way more than what we ordered (order of rolled tacos, an horchata and a bean and cheese burrito) so I ask about it. He shuts the drive thru window and comes back 5 minutes later with a receipt and tells me in broken English "oh I over charged you the fried chicken tacos" I ask him if Spanish is better since it seemed he was struggling with English... This is where it gets good The guy has the freaking audacity to scold me for not ordering in Spanish and speaking to him in Spanish from the get go. Like what the actual f?? He gives me a refund for the tacos I wasn't getting and an itemized receipt for the transaction. Not only did he charge me for 4 fried tacos I wasn't getting, he charged me for "extra guacamole" when the rolled tacos already came with guac according to their drive thru menu. I mention it and the dude became irate at the fact that I pointed it out Maybe guy wasn't have a good night, I don't know, not really my problem. He gives me my food and tells me next time I need to order in Spanish Not only will they scold you because you chose to ask about the over charging on the bill, apparently you're supposed to order in Spanish to make his job easier?! The food wasn't good and the horchata was watered down you could barely get a hit of sweetness. Maybe they just love getting one over on the drunks that stop by late night? I was looking for a breakfast burrito and coworker suggested Eribertos. They had a drive-thru which was convenient and the burrito was huge. I got the American Burrito which was egg, potato, cheese, bacon and ham. I could've easily cut it in half and split it with someone and it still been a full meal. They don't make it until you order it so it was very warm and fresh when I got it. I paid cash but they take some credit cards for a fee. It took Eribertos to pull me out from behind the rock I've been hiding for the past few months in regards to writing reviews, and for that Eribertos, I tip my hat. The unfortunate reality is that it took such slow service on a Sunday morning for me to care enough to think about leaving a review. I got in the drive through line behind two other cars, waited a few minutes and three more cars had arrived in line behind me. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was ready to leave but unfortunately could not move forward, nor could I move in reverse because of the cars behind. I was stuck and was in a hurry to get somewhere else. I was third in line when I pulled up and the time I left the drive through window with food in hand was exactly 27 minutes later. This is not the first time they've taken a "long" time in the drive through, I've seen maybe 15 minutes before which I thought was long, but this last visit really takes the cake. By the time I had gotten to the end I saw at least two other cars, who weren't blocked in, reverse their way out of the drive through and leave. I'm obviously not the only one who was annoyed this morning. Eri, this isn't table service, there's no reason that an order of one bacon egg and cheese burrito should take 27 minutes to fill. You guys are just so super slow. This will definitely be the last time I visit, there's just way to many other 'bertos' choices within two miles that seem to have their stuff together. read more

I think they got new owners :( I've been coming here 10+ years and everything is always amazing. The last few times I've been things have tasted way different, unfortunately not in a good way. The salsa waayy different which is irritating since they had my all time favorite red sauce. The carne asada seasoning is aslo different. Rolled tacos now only get a LITTLE guacamole and a sprinkling of cojita cheese (previously was loaded with guac, sour cream, and shredded cheese). The munchers are the same price but half the size. So, first of all, yes, there is a solid chance they'll get your order a little bit off. That's the risk of going through drive thru and not checking your order. I take it as a bit of charm and don't really mind, because I'm coming in with that mindset. I really only ever get like 5 things here: Breakfast burrito with bacon Chorizo breakfast burrito California burrito Taquitos Asada or pastor torta No complaints about food. The portions are always huge. It tastes decent for what it is. I know I'm coming here for convenient, filling food, and that's what I leave with. I will say that I prefer the breakfast burritos here over the ones from Filiberto's off of McDowell and 16th, so take that for what it is. I prefer this spot to that one. read more
