I really enjoyed the whole experience at Presidio Cocina Mexicana. We had a LARGE party and although I can't recall all of the wonderful servers that tended to our large group, they really did a great job with us from getting all of us seated TOGETHER, kept chips with salsa fresh on the table, drinks served and refilled!! My hat is off to them, and THANK YOU!! As for our two orders, we got the St. Hibiscus with Gin, St. Germain, Jamaica, lime juice and agave and the Viva El Coco with Tequila blanco, lime juice, coconut cream, pineapple juice, and agave. Both drinks were SO good!!! The St. Hibiscus was so delicious, I could have easily drank many more!! OMG, give it a try!! I ordered the Chile Verde with pork stewed in tomatillo and jalapeño salsa, cream Mexicans, clear, rice, beans and tortillas, which was so yummy and delicious. The meat was tender and I could have put that verde on anything!! I don't think my photo lets this dish shine, but it was tasty!! The Carne Asada Plate with grilled rib-eye, grilled onion and peppers, chorizo, grilled poblano with cheese, rice, beans, guacamole, tortillas, and salad garnish was a very comforting dish! This place tastes like homemade Mexican food should taste. They don't disappoint!!

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat and was so pleased that they serve breakfast all day. Service was friendly. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The space is very beautiful, with a gorgeous outside entrance, a pretty mural (not pictured), a beautiful patio and neat light bulbs everywhere.

Very solid meal at Presidio. The first thing we noticed is just the ambiance of the restaurant. The lighting, table setup, open kitchen and bar. We loved the vibe/layout. It wasn't too busy when we went on a Thursday for dinner but service was great. Guac was yummy - chips could have used a tad more salt. Both of our mains were good too. Reasonable portion sizes - the garlic shrimp sauce was sooo good! Mushroom taco was also very underrated.

Back at it again this weekend. Had the chile rellano and it didn't disappoint. I'm on a mission to try everything on the menu this year it seems. Haha. Juan was our server again and he's awesome. Always making sure we order things right and suggesting items if stuck between two items.

Very nice and cosy restaurant. Came here for their flavorful brunch. First thing I noticed was their chair, the luxurious feel of leather on your back, left me a positive impression already. The menu items were unique and lots to choose from. Steak and eggs, omelets, burritos, really a good mix and the prices are pretty good. Coffee is strong, service is great!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for brunch, I ordered the tamale breakfast with red chile pork that came with two eggs and beans; everything was flavorful and you can tell was made with love. We also ordered the Breakfast de Papa that comes with two crispy fried tacos stuffed with potatoes and cheese, served alongside two eggs which was delicious as well. Alex was our server and he was great, super tentative, friendly and checked on us often.

One of my favorite restaurants when I visit Phoenix! It used to be a small place on Thomas, and it has come a long way. I love it! The food is delicious and flavorful, with what I would call authentic Mexican cuisine. The service is good, and the ambiance is neat!

This place was my favorite place that I ate at during my visit to Phoenix! Every single bite we took tasted amazing. This place is a mix of Mexican tradition with a modern style. The food tastes very much like an Abuela made it especially the flan. The staff were friendly and food came out so fast from the kitchen. We also went when it opened because on a Saturday I assume they get crazy busy. I ate the pozole and my husband got chilaquiles and added carne asada. We also tried the taquito app and for dessert the churros and flan. They have a great cocktail menu as well. We'd come back for sure!

As usual I was traveling through Phoenix for the day and decided to find some goo, but authentic Southwest Mexican food to eat. So my business partner and I relied on the Yelp reviews to lead us here. The outside doesn't look like much but once inside it's transformed into a finer dining Mexican restaurant. The servers are friendly and helpful and the A/C works great! No alcohol for us since we were on the clock but the bar sure looked inviting. Started with chips and guacamole that was really good. Loved that the chips were hot and homemade. My buddy had the fajitas and said they tasted good. I had the dinner enchiladas and really liked them. I was slightly surprised that my enchiladas were only warm and not hot. That led a slightly lower score. The flan was outstanding. Overall a great place and I would come back again!

I feel like brunch spots have a difficult time deciding whether or not they want the food to look good OR taste good, but luckily Presidio Cocina can do both! I often find that trendy brunch spots are overpriced and the food doesn't fit the bill, but the tacos (tinga, chorizo, and (iirc) pork) and the tres leches French toast were soooo good. We also had ceviche and aguachiles (which were both okay), but the chicharron was delicious. The taco meats were all uniquely seasoned and garnished perfectly, but it was so much I was full by my third taco! Although I had a delightful experience, I do have two things to mention: the service was a little bit odd, our server had a difficult time splitting the bill among the table. And we ordered a mimosa flight, but didn't receive a "flight." Typically when you order a flight of any kind of drink, you expect small glasses of different flavors or qualities, but at this restaurant, they let you pick two flavors of juice and bring you a bottle of champagne. It wasn't bad, it was just confusing. And a little bit disappointing that we only got to choose from two juices (lol). Overall, it was a great experience and I'd totally bring folks in again for a round 2.

Had to give this place another try after my daughter raved about it. Glad we did, so much better than the first time we came and everything tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The aguas were very good and so was the desserts. We enjoyed everything we ate even the menudo. My mother is very picky but she loved it. They do get busy so I would suggest getting a reservation if not be prepared to wait. Restrooms were cleaned

This is a joke right? Look up my review...I know from personal experience what Mexican street corn is (direct experience and seeing it multiple times on my trips to Mexico with my wife, her father and our children...., but theirs takes it to a whole…

I don't see street tacos on the menu, but I see pictures of them. Do they only have them certain days?

They are available al la carte, on the back of the menu I believe, it was like a 3 taco deal, mix and match or all the same. They make their tortillas fresh every day too, super yummy!

The space is warm, moody, and inviting--like a lighthearted Western brought to life--with candlelight and rich wooden accents creating an atmosphere that begs you to settle in and stay awhile. The drink menu was eclectic and thoughtfully curated, offering both trendy and classic cocktails alongside an impressive selection of spirits, beer, and wine. The bartenders were knowledgeable enough to suggest excellent off-menu creations and kept the drinks--including the water--flowing with effortless style and hospitality. The wedge salad was crisp and bright, elevated by thoughtful ingredients like jalapeño bacon and balsamic onions. The crab dip was a standout: packed generously with crab and complemented by just the right amount of cheese, finely chopped red onions, and crispy breadcrumbs. We ended the evening with St. George Absinthe, an absolute gem of an offering. Jake, Brad, and Stormy were kind, attentive, and full of great recommendations without ever feeling pushy or intrusive. Main level/Upstairs vibe is well-lit with a true cantina bar feel. High-top tables, seats at the bar & happy hour from 4-7 pm make it ideal for some $7 drinks!!. The collection of Tequilas is GREAT. Many of which do not contain additives. I won't lie, I thought I was a big fan until I realized I didn't recognize a lot of the tequilas they had on hand. Downstairs is a whole different vibe. Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. I did 2 of my favorites, Paloma De Guayaba with the custom block name etched and the Baya Nueva. While in the Cantina, I had to order my friend the Basura (trash), but that wasn't the case... then again, it is served in a plastic bag, and is definitely a throwback to my early 20's of gettin' lit!!!! It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.
