This has been the only dentist I have taken my kids to. I have loved the Dentist they see, she has…read morealways been great with them. However the office does seem a little run down and dirty and the stuff for kids is almost always broken. My main issue with this place is parking. For as many years as I have been coming here parking has always stressed me out. to the point where I dread these appointments. Parking, if you do find a spot, is VERY TIGHT. I have not been able to put my kids in their car seats and have had to pull out to do so. Then I get cars waiting and yelled at by security. Today there was NO parking in the lot by their door, and there was no parking in the garage a few building away. It said parking full and cars were lined up. While I was waiting for a car to possibly leave, I was yelled at by security that I cannot do that and I have to keep going. I called the office to let them know, I was told they there's nothing they can do and they only allow 10 minute grace period. I have been early to every appointment. Leaving insanely early for parking. I was 30 minutes early and did not find parking in time. I went past the 10 minutes they allowed and wasted my time from work for an hour. They offered to reschedule me. Absolutely not, I am not going to do this in another week from now. I went home and found a new dentist for them, we will not be returning. Parents - if you tend to run late this is not the place for you. You have to ensure you're there early enough for parking. 15JUN2026 - My kids saw their new dentist today at another place. I have to say, There ARE better options out there than this place. There was parking, a fun waiting room for the kids. And the kids actually had their own rooms. If you come to children's choice like the other reviews have mentioned, it is wide open and there is no privacy you are all seated together separated by nothing. Please take your children somewhere else.

The room was a large open concept assembly line of dental chairs out in the open w (again) little seating and super stuffy & hot. Ventilation was awful and there was no patient privacy. I am submitting this complaint to formally report unethical billing practices by the dental office…read moreassociated with a disputed dental charge of approximately $300. I want to be clear that the quality of clinical care itself is not the issue; my concerns relate solely to billing conduct, transparency, and the handling of insurance-related disputes. After receiving care, I submitted the claim to my dental insurance provider. The claim required escalation and is currently under active review by the insurer. This process was communicated clearly and in good faith, and I have documentation, including a claim number, demonstrating that the charge is under legitimate insurance review, not ignored or refused. Despite this: The office pursued payment while the insurance claim was unresolved asking for "just a small payment" while they wait. The matter was escalated to a third-party collector before insurance determination There appears to be no reasonable accommodation for standard insurance dispute timelines There was no transparent explanation of why the bill was deemed immediately collectible rather than pending insurance resolution Patients should not be pressured to pay balances that are actively under insurance review, particularly when the provider is aware that the insurer is evaluating coverage or reimbursement. This practice places patients in an unfair position--either paying out-of-pocket prematurely or being threatened with collections while complying with standard insurance procedures. Further, the billing escalation process appears to lack: Appropriate verification that insurance review was complete Ethical safeguards before referral to collections Clear written communication outlining patient rights during an insurance dispute While I respect the clinicians and the care I received, billing practices are part of patient care and ethical responsibility. Referring a patient to collections under these circumstances undermines trust and may violate professional and consumer standards. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed for: Compliance with ethical billing standards Appropriate handling of insurance-pending balances Policies regarding referral to collections Oversight of third-party billing or collection agents acting on the practice's behalf I am submitting this complaint in good faith to ensure accountability and to prevent similar experiences for other patients. edit: Owner responded - yes, this is for this business Lil Smile Dr. Toppi. I am also a healthcare provider and I know this is 100% unethical. They did send me to collections for $300 while my insurance was escalated. I did pay the $300 (minus paying the "interest fees" - another unethical practice!) while my insurance worked on it out of fear. It is sad way to treat patients and other people deserve to know about these unethical practices.

I have great coverage through work but they wouldn't let me know ahead of time what my bill would look like although I asked several times. Finally got the bill and the charges on the bill were quite frankly silly, especially concerning the appt experience we had. We had an 8:30 appt which they said was the earliest appt possible. Got there early and it still took 20 minutes to be seen. No books or toy, only iPads in the lobby. My child is 2 years old, he doesn't need a tablet. Once we were shown inside, another 10 minute wait. All that waiting for an appt that lasted 5-10 minutes, including the fluoride varnish. What was frustrating is that my 2 year old is not shy and quite comfortable with dental examinations (we floss every night, brush teeth and tongue scrape twice a day) and the dentist barely looked at his teeth and I'm honestly not even sure if the varnish she applied touched his teeth? No exaggeration, she went in with the varnish in less than 5 seconds. If he was screaming or crying, I would get that but he was sitting calmly in my lap and was totally fine! I would be perfectly content paying the additional fees for a quality pediatric dental experience but this was not it.

From the moment we walked in, she created a calm and welcoming environment that immediately put my child at ease. Eloisa took the time to explain everything in a way my daughter could understand, and she was so encouraging throughout the entire visit. I'm so grateful we found her and highly recommend her to any parent looking for a positive dental experience for their child!

A very disappointing experience that I feel people should know about…read more I went to this dental office expecting to receive basic dental care, but instead I spent more than two hours there feeling confused, uncomfortable, and frustrated. From the moment I arrived, communication was a major issue. No one properly introduced themselves, and the doctors and technicians did not have visible name badges. Because everyone was wearing face coverings, I didn't even know who was treating me or who I was speaking with. As a patient, I found that very uncomfortable. What bothered me even more was that instead of starting with basic treatment options, I was immediately presented with expensive and extensive procedures. I felt like I was being pushed toward major dental work without first having my immediate concerns properly addressed. There was also a major issue with the cost. My insurance provided me with the allowed amount for the services, but the office quoted me an amount that was roughly three times higher. When I asked about the difference, I was told that the amount determined by my insurance did not matter and that the office could charge whatever they wanted. The customer service did not help resolve my concerns, and I left feeling like I was being treated more like a source of revenue than a patient who needed help. Dental care should be based on trust, transparency, and compassion. People walk into a dental office because they need help, often while they are already dealing with pain, stress, and financial concerns. Patients deserve to understand their options and feel respected--not pressured into expensive procedures. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage people to ask questions, understand their insurance coverage, and get a second opinion before committing to expensive treatment here.
