Dr. Lee is a fine doctor but his billing office is incompetent. My husband went to see Dr. Lee in his Los Gatos office in April 2024. They billed the wrong code so our insurance did not apply the plan contract price. Took us three phone calls and 8 months to fix the problem. Meanwhile, they kept billing us so we paid in full since we did not know what else to do and don't want to ruin our credit. After insurance finally got the right code to fix the bill in January 2025, we called the billing department for a refund (since we paid in full). No call back. Today, instead of getting a refund, we got a bill saying we owe more money because the bill fails to list the full payments we made. Now we have to call them again. Seriously! No matter how good a doctor Dr. Lee is, it is not worth our time and energy to deal with the billing department. Dr. Lee: you deserve a better billing service! read more

Dr. Lee is the dermatologist I chose because he takes my family history of melanoma seriously! He gives a very thorough skin checkup and quickly freezes off anything suspicious quickly. My twin sister had stage 4 melanoma and nearly died; my cousin had a melanoma cut out of her arm leaving a huge scar. And my mom had a melanoma cut in the early 90's that should have killed her, but it did not. I take my skin care profoundly serious as a result. And I need a dermatologist that does too! Dr. Lee looks very carefully at all my freckles and spots. He is thorough and professional. The Covid procedures for the office are excellent. Masks required. You park and call before coming up. I just saw Dr. Eric Lee yesterday and I am always impressed with the high quality of care. I have seen many dermatologists over the years and no one does such a careful body scan for any signs of cancer as Dr. Eric Lee. He does a super job of zapping some spots of concern in a way that minimizes the mild pain you can experience. I would describe Dr. Lee as very professional, down to earth and dedicated to his patients. He did a procedure at his office on a tiny bit of basal cell carcinoma (sp) that was a nice success. If you want someone who takes skin cancer seriously, schedule time with Dr. Lee. I have not had any problems with his office --which is the one in Los Gatos on National ave. I was a patient of his father, Dr. Stephen Lee, for 30 years and since his retirement, I have been seeing his son, Dr. Eric Lee, for the past 5+ years. He is very friendly and listens to all of my questions and follows up. He sent me for MOHS surgery after a large basal cell growth on my forehead octopused out into other parts of my forehead. Following the surgery it all finally got cleared up. I see him regularly for rechecks of this and other basal cell tumors that crop up here and there on my body. Since I am of all Northern European ancestry (Scottish, English and Swedish) these things crop up regularly, thanks to years of my enjoying our blessed California sunshine and in spite of daily use of sunscreen. I called the office on July 24, 2024, to pay the bill, but the receptionist who answered the phone was extremely rude. She didn't bother to check the spelling of my name and immediately claimed they didn't have my record. Later, we discovered she had spelled it wrong. When I asked about refilling the pills, she questioned, "What pills?" I explained that we only had one prescribed from the last visit and asked if it could be refilled. She rudely responded, "I don't know what you mean." She could have easily checked the chart to find the information. Her arrogance and rudeness were unacceptable. Not recommended for Skin rashes, pimples or any sort of bumps. Visited him with tiny bump on the finger, as well as for penile papules. For penile papules he said it's a molluscum and nothing needed. Which was not the case. For the bump on my finger he did by spraying liquid nitrogen. This was also not needed, and he charged my insurance $250.00 for that one sec spray. For me, his diagnosis and the remediation was not a curable solution. I have to stick to my other dermatologists. -S read more

After seeing Dr. Lee for the first time I needed several days to process how I felt when leaving his office. So here goes. I was referred to Dr. Lee by my family doctor for an irritating rash and itchy skin... She felt it was form of psoriasis caused by a heart medication I was taking but referred me to Dr. Lee to accurately diagnose and treat. I had to wait several months to get in to see Dr. Lee but finally saw him last week. The office is pleasant enough, staff are friendly. Dr. Lee arrived fairly quickly and examined my issue. He asked why my family doctor referred me to him and what did she want him to do. (Hello??? um diagnose accurately and treat...ya think??) He kept saying does she want my to do a biopsy? What does she want me to do? At this point I was wondering if this was some kid who wandered in off the street! I didn't know how to answer. I never had a doctor act this way with a referral. Normally they correctly diagnose the issue, treat and follow up to insure all is well. He finally said it looks like stress psoriasis, I will prescribe a cream. He handed me the prescription and got up to leave. I asked if I should make a follow up appointment and his response was no, only if needed?? So I come to Dr. Lee for help, basically receive nothing and I left feeling dismissed, like I was too much of a bother. For me personally, I can not recommend Dr. Eric Lee. I felt he didn't take me or my issue seriously and to me that is unacceptable. read more

Just had our first visit there today for our daughter. She's only 5 months old and was happy to find an office locally that would look at a baby. Luckily it was a minor issue! Very poor experience with Dr. Eric Lee. I gave them my insurance information and scheduled an appointment. They had me send them copies of my insurance. They couldn't fit me into their schedule for 2-3 months. I had to go to their Los Gatos office (an hour and a half away) instead of their Monterey office, which is 5 minutes from my house. The week prior to my appointment (after waiting 2-3 months already) I was informed that the doctor wouldn't be in the office that day and I would need to reschedule. They begrudgingly scheduled me in 2-3 weeks later. On the day of my appointment they had me provide them with my insurance and ID a second time, then had me disrobe in their examination room. About 5 minutes later the receptionist came into the exam room, told me they didn't accept my insurance after all, and demanded another $150 to be seen that day. They told me this after I had already provided my information twice and was disrobed, waiting in their little gown thing. All told, my 30 minute office visit cost me about $600 out of pocket, because apparently they don't take my insurance and couldn't be bothered to look this up before the date of my appointment...this is after a 2-3 month wait and a rescheduling. This guy is very cool with teenagers (and parents), his front desk staff is nice even when they are super busy. Mr. Lee seems to be the son of another Lee in this office, he has good approach to teens and gets right to the problems without fuss. He asks questions to reluctant teens about their skin condition in a discreet fashion but gets things done quick (although you don't feel rushed) We forgot to tell him about another matter re: skin irritation on the scalp, we called and he took care of it within our pharmacy. read more

He cut me up and then added stitches that did not hold, very sloppy work . He loves to make unnecessary cuttings and treats every little freckle like it is cancer that is going to kill you , I told him that he did not need to have so much lab work done when even I knew the lab results would be negative. He thinks way to highly of himself declaring everything he is doing is saving your life . His billing is more deadly than what you go to have treated . I have gone to other dermatologist that were far better and did not leave as much scaring. The receptionist was very welcoming when I called and I was able to make an appt. for the following day! Dr. Lee is calm, friendly, and kind. He quickly grasps how much you want to know and how you like to be treated. This is good for me because I am a senior citizen on the autism spectrum and want to drill down into the details. The entire office and exam rooms are well-designed, clean, and uncluttered. The office staff are also very calm and helpful.
