What I got was two eggs that had been scrambled but cooked flat on a very greasy flat top, sliced, and put on the plate. Dry despite the intense amount of grease. We decided to try Erica's for Sunday Brunch, our first time eating here since new owners took over and remodeled from when it was Eric's. Got there about noon today, lots of waitress staff and lots working behind the grill area. Lots of empty tables. My husband ordered an omelet with toast and I ordered a waffle with strawberries. As we waited for our order, I observed numerous waitresses with their hair hanging down in their faces and over their shoulders flying about freely as they served customers, then went to cash register got people change and I almost gagged watching the tall waitress with long pony tail and huge false eyelashes grab a glass with her bare hands and start making a peach Bellini drink, took her bare hands and threw a cherry into the glass. I had to put my thoughts together in order to write this review I was in such disbelief as to what I was seeing. Our food arrived quickly and the waffle was raw in the middle and a big soggy mess with frozen bagged strawberries that looked like they were opened days ago. I seriously ran my fork through it looking for stray hairs. She asked if I'd like syrup when I ordered the waffle and I said yes please. She brought a small mason jar caraf to the table with an inch of syrup in it. Needless to say I didn't even use the syrup as the waffle was very disappointing. When our check arrived the waffle advertised as $6.95 had $1.99 for syrup and $1.99 for the strawberries. I didn't say anything because I was in awe of the sticky tables and poor hygiene of the people serving my food. As we paid our $31 check an elderly couple came in and sat down and Miss Big eyelashes greeted them and said she would be their waitress, the elderly patron said, I want another server, you were terrible the last time we ate here! My husband and I just shook our heads and left in extreme disbelief at the brunch we just paid $31 for. We are locals and we always support small local businesses but we will NEVER set our feet in Erica's again. Someone should call the health department. read more

We ordered the Erickburger and from the lighter side menu the shrimp dinner. Both meals come with an abundance of food. Hamburger was very large could not eat it all, and the fries were absolutely awesome! If for no other reason coming here for the french fries would be well worth the trip. We had a great breakfast this morning. We both had omelets. They were everything you would expect a good omelet to be...cheesy, fluffy, hearty. They were generously stuffed with ham and delicious. The raisin bread was a stand out. Rustic and baked perfection. We got a blueberry pancake. Hubby liked it but I like my pancakes just a touch sweeter. Speaking of sweeter, he got a beautiful and yummy mug of hot chocolate that he loved. All in all a fantastic experience with great service, wonderful food and a lovely facility. read more

A great breakfast! Very generous portions - even my bowl of oatmeal was gigantic. Loved the tiny sweet blueberries atop it! My son had a delicious western style omlette stuffed with goodies and hearty bread, while my husband's eggs over medium were perfectly cooked along with hash browns and bread. The wait staff was very pleasant and the dining room was welcomingly warm - which we appreciated having been cold everywhere else. This place was packed at 9 o'clock of a Sunday morning and it is no surprise, they deserve to do a good business. We will be back! read more

We came here morning after an overnight in town for a wedding. The place was crowded, but they sat us quickly and with very friendly service. I had a Bloody Mary....it was ok. The Mary mixture was too thick and lacked any spice or flavor depth. Coffee was good and seven in a large cup. I found the menu to be your basic breakfast spot, a bit of a spiffed up breakfast diner menu. I had the rancheros eggs....this wasn't prepared with fresh veggie salsa and a crisp tortilla....it was more of a scramble with cups of sour cream and jarred salsa on the side. Unimaginative, it was average, and something anyone with basic cooking skills could have served. The grilled English muffin wasn't really grilled, as it didn't have any grill marks or crispness that a flat top pressing would provide. I also had a side of their corn beef hash, which I test at any breakfast stop. This hash was under-flavored, and more importantly, didn't have the crispy sear that a pressing on the flat top would provide it. All in all....this is an average, fairly generic breakfast spot. The staff was friendly, and the service was fine. The food, average at best. Three stars, I'd try it again if ever back in the area. read more

I went to Eric's in Waterville Maine. I have had sausage biscuits and gravy the past three times going here. But all of a sudden we can't get it, because it is not"the special". This was the worst breakfast I have ever had!!! The hash was tasteless, and my family had that and now we are all sick. The eggs were cold, and my milk was warm. The worst part, this was 30 dollars. If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. My aunt and uncle came to Eric's to eat and decided to order pie for dessert. They both have serious tree nut allergies, and informed the waitress before ordering. The waitress "checked" the ingredients of the pie crust and came back saying it was all clear. They were halfway through eating the pie when the waitress came back to the table LAUGHING, and said that there actually were nuts in the pie crust. She showed no concern at all. My wife and I are big breakfast people and we really like Eric's. It is definitely classier then any other breakfast place we have eaten at in Central Maine (and we have eaten at most of them). The decor is very well done and the waitress uniforms very professional in appearance. They need to maybe advertise better because we have lived in the area for three years and never knew they were here. Most of the decor of the breakfast establishments in the Augusta/Waterville area are dated and could stand to be updated. All the food we ordered was tasty, including the coffee. The waitress was also very attentive (and cute I should add). We will be going back for breakfast again early tomorrow morning (worth the 15 mile drive). read more
