I went with a different place at first because it was closer to where we were living. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I ended up having a bad experience there and finally switched to S&L. Dr. Ngo and his team fixed everything the other dentist had messed up. Right away I knew my wife had been right all along. I've been going to S&L for four years now and they really are the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Ngo has removed all my old metal fillings and replaced them with modern ones, plus he's done a couple of crowns for me. Everything looks and feels great. My wife has also been extremely happy with all the work he's done for her too. I'm almost 55 and I've seen a bunch of top-rated, highly recommended dentists over the years, both here in the US and a couple in Mexico. Nothing else comes close. One thing I have to mention is how good Dr. Ngo is with people who hate dental visits or get nervous about pain. His work is excellent, but it's the way he takes care of you that makes the biggest difference. For example, the way he does Novocaine shots is unbelievable. You barely feel it at all. Every dentist out there should learn his technique. With all that said, I do think the front office experience could be better. If the customer service up front matched Dr. David's clearly caring vibe, it would be 100% perfect. They got me right in, placed a temporary crown and worked with a shade match company to get the permanent crown shade just right. Subsequently, I have moved my entire family over to this office and everyone has been more than happy. I think the best part is the "vibe". They play music videos in the lobby and exotic destinations travel vids in the each of the individual rooms. Its a little girly with hot pink furniture and decor, but I love it! The machine was painful and it dug into my lower mouth and left a soar. Then I saw the dentist asking one of the xray techs a question about my appointment?? When the dentist came in, & I told her about my jaw clicking and pain, she had me try to bite down on her fingers and I told her it was difficult and my jaw is trembling. After me doing all that she said my bite was fine & all she did was grind my crown down and grind my night guard. As she tried to rush out of the room I stopped her and tried to talk to her about my overbite which was looking pretty bad. She told me that if I fix it I wont have to wear a night guard and I said OK Id like to explore that. They had me go to the front to schedule another appointment for next week for a consultation. At the next appointment, they didnt even know why I was in there. They had me back in the xray room & I told them I already had an exam with them last weekend. They take me to go get a panoramic picture and the tech tells me is it OK because its gonna cost extra. I told her its fine. She asked again & I said yea its fine. She made me take my piercing out (which no other dentist has ever had a problem with). Then when the dentist came in all he asked why I was here which Ive already told all these people at least once now. Then he looked at my teeth with just his fingers, said I have a small overbite and they're gonna do something called smileset. I have no idea what that is, no one explained out of the 7 people I encountered in all. Then at the end of the appointment Im left with we need to see if your insurance will cover something and we will get in touch. They never called & Im glad they didnt. I went to a back to my old dentist and got referred to an orthodontist. turns out I have a 90% overbite & needed braces with bite turbos. Stay away from this dog and pony show if you care about your time, sanity, money, and most importantly teeth. This place is All looks, no substance. Not even sure if any of these people are lisenced to do anything with their positions.

Having said this after going to him for years and having had a couple molars crowned by him, one of them all the sudden broke completely in half. This is where it gets sad, he stated the warranty had just ran out a month ago but he would replace it. Little did I know this would come with snickers, eye rolling and belittlement from the staff. They were literally treating me as if I stole money out of their pockets . Also still got charged (btw) Fast forward YEARS later and I need another crown and unfortunately with my grinding I need a dentist that can print the tooth on site. Called and booked with him again do to this. I made the appointment a week ago and yet today Dr. Christensen calls me and starts the conversation with trying to talk me into a root canal somewhere else when he hadn't even seen the tooth. This was all just a deceitful little trick of beating around the bush. After I stated well I can send you pictures he got to his real motive. Apparently years ago the eye rolling staff put in my file I spit in the cup to hard or some made up nonsense. I will drive 2 hrs from Prescott to Mesa just to clean my teeth. He's kind, polite, trustworthy, friendly and caring. Hard to find a dentist like that now a day.
