The manager, Rich, diagnosed the problem over the phone as a firmware problem, not having been to our property. He claims to have seen it hundreds of times even though he came from the trucking world and been recently hired. He was WRONG Each visit had a different diagnoses, all were WRONG. The final conclusion, after replacing several mechanical parts and not fixing the problem, was that it was an air filter. Since this generator had run less that 20 hours in three years, we found it hard to believe because upon observing the filter, it looked barely used. WRONG again, Enter Rick's underling, Ryan who decides to speak for their owner Jim Tracy and their president, Bob Irvin. The detailing of his actions are too lengthy but he refused to come out and complete the job and hung up on us four times; not the actions of a person in business. Ryan announced to me that it was customers like us that are making them get out of the residential business THANKS FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT. I am sure Jim Tracy will be glad to hear of your announcement. We have been consistently pleased with the quality of work and overall professionalism. This week, we finished up the kitchen lights project. While doing the kitchen lights, they realized that due to the old and rather complex wiring of our house, we had to solve for a couple unexpected issues. The most notable issue was that the new arc fault breaker kept tripping when we turned on a hallway light. His team diagnosed the issue and solved it quickly. The primary job took just part of one day, but identifying the unforseen issues and getting the parts stretched it out another couple days. However, the entire time Gavin was in communication with us. He emailed and called to provide updates and to schedule his team ASAP to come by. We were very impressed by the customer service and happy with how these projects turned out! We will call Gavin's Electric again for future projects.
