I cannot say enough amazing things about these guys. After coming back from working out of the state for over a month, I found my car battery was totally dead - done for. I called around to different companies for a jump, and Erickson was the only one who was able to give me a flat reasonable fee without leaving it open ended for more charges - super honest. Mario arrived to jump my car within 10 minutes & was so incredible from the get go. I was so worried that the expensive hybrid battery was also dead on my Prius (thousands of dollars for a replacement) and he was able to tell me right away that that wasn't the case and that I may not have even needed a replacement car battery. He was right & possibly saved me hundreds of dollars. He even followed me to the gas station at 10:30 pm when I was on empty to help me pump the car while it was still running since I couldn't shut if off. Erickson Towing, you rock! I'm super relieved and grateful for these guys. My car died on me last night (not battery related) in Glendale and had to park my car and leave it there overnight. I made sure to park it right on the corner for easy hook up when the tow service comes the next day. I knew that leaving my car there would cause trouble as I will not be present when I call for a tow service the next day. Today, I looked up three towing companies in Glendale - including Erickson. Did the whole comparing prices and had to explain to all three that I will not be there physically to hand over my car and keys. Not only were the other two more expensive ($120), they also gave me a hard time about getting my car towed if I wasn't present. I'm able to save a lot with Erickson Towing ($85!!!!!) on top of their great service over the phone. yay! Tony from Erickson Towing was not only helpful but very kind and understanding. I felt like he was so sympathetic and listened well. He took care of my situation and now I'm relieved to know that my car is fine at the car shop in Hollywood. I just had to make sure that I get my keys to the shop (a friend was able to do that for me) and for the car shop to be willing to pay Tony when he drops off the car to them. And good thing that Charlie from Affordable Care of Hollywood is the nicest mechanic I've found!!! :D YAY! There are definitely nice people in this world and these guys are on my list for sure!! The driver who came to tow my car that wouldn't start was extremely nice and very professional. You can tell he knows what he's doing and very good at it too (+5 stars). The person on the phone when you call the towing business however wasn't 'unprofessional per se' but was somewhat rude--making snide comments which he MAY not have intended as such but was still to me (-1 Star). 5 stars! This company is amazing. Completely turned my hectic day around! My car needed to be towed. Someone parked very close in front of it on the top of a steep hill. An Erickson Towing employee (wish I knew his name!) worked tirelessly for 10 minutes to get my car hooked. Once he did and we started driving towards the auto shop, as I told him about my car troubles, he felt confident he could fix it himself on the spot. So he did!! I called Erickson Towing and spoke to Mario about towing a Mustang that I had in storage at a friends house. Of course I called because of the great reviews that they have on Yelp. So I asked a few questions about their towing equipment, when they could tow the car, how much it would cost and also that I had a seperate engine that would also need to be lifted and moved as well. Mario gave me all the right answers and spoke from many years of experience in the towing business. He was always helpful, and made some great suggestions that no other towing company I had spoken to had mentioned. Between the great price, professional conversation, and intelligent suggestions - I made arrangements for him to tow the Mustang the following Friday. I met Mario on Friday morning at my friends house as promised. He arrived on time and came with the extra truck to tow the engine as he had promised. When my friend rolled out the Mustang to be towed, I saw that the engine was not in one piece but rather in pieces! At that point, Mario could have said that the price he quoted did not include having to spend an extra hour gathering up all the engine parts that were laying around or he could have backed out and left me high and dry. I am thankful that I had made a good decision in choosing a man with character because without hesitation he hooked up the Mustang to his truck and then started to gather up all of the engine parts to load into the second truck. Never did he complain or tell me that this was going to cost extra! Towing companies have received a bad reputation over the years because some of them have been less than ethical. I am thrilled that I looked up Erickson Towing on Yelp and chose them to tow my car! Choose wisely because you will be hard pressed to find someone like Mario that sticks to his word at the expense of his bottom line! Yep. My car wouldn't start one morning, so I actually tried to call for an appointment to jump it the next day! That didn't happen, of course. They don't do appointments, but the person I talked to on the phone rightly diagnosed that my battery was bad and told me where to get a good one cheap. That night, Mario came by and jumped my car, I went and got a new battery and I'm back in business. :) And just to corroborate the stuff that everyone else is saying, Mario is fantastic. I got a flat tire while parking my car. I opened up the trunk, got out the spare, jacked up the car and realized it had a "anti-theft locking lugnut" on the wheel, and no key was ever provided to me when I bought the car. So I called Erickson, hoping they could tow me to a nearby tire shop so they could cut off the lugnut. The guy on the phone gave me an estimate of $85 for the tow and that they'd be there in 35 minutes. 15 minutes later they arrived, and decided they could get the lugnut off for me without me having to take it to the tire shop and get it cut off. He did this in about 5 minutes and in another 3 minutes had the spare on. He then told me to call around and find a tireshop that has my tire in stock (since I have a new car) which the one I was going to did not. He also told me exactly what to say to the tireshop to make sure I got the service I need, AND they only charged me $50 for the service call and another $20 to get the lugnut off (since they didn't end up towing me). Needless to say I gave them a big tip. I would definitely call them again if I ever have trouble with my car, they were professional, and really cool and friendly. read more

Mario is amazing! A true professional with the willingness to help others and get the job done right. My mom sent me his number as I sat there hopeless in an empty parking garage. We are all proud because he treated me like a brother and ended up being a life saver. Mario made a highly stressful situation where all four rims and tires were stolen off of my vehicle bearable. When everyone else refused to take on the challenge of towing a vehicle with no rims and tires, Mario stepped up to the plate and delivered. He made a plan and assured me that the would execute it. He was kind enough to find me some spare tires so we could lift the car back on its "four feet" and properly tow it out of the enclosed parking garage. This guy Mario is amazing!!!! Extremely honest. Saved me $30 from his own towing fee and only god knows how much more from a auto shop. Would recommend this business to any family or friend in the area. My Story: Got in my car to drive to work today and the car won't start. This company was the first one I call however no one picks up and it goes to voicemail so I hang up and start calling other places. When on the phone with the other towing company they quote me $90-150. Mario calls back and I ask him for his quote. $85. So of course I'm gonna go with him. My car's parked in my apartment's underground parking structure with low clearance so you can't just bring any towing truck in there and I let him know this. He makes sure that I'm aware of the ETA (about an hour) for the low clearance towing truck to come back from its last job. I say "sure". He arrives and asks me what's going on with the vehicle. I walk over and try to start it. Panel lights and electronics come on. Engine turns but doesn't start. I say "I think it's probably the starter or something." He says "Could be the battery. You wanna check?" He gives me a jump and the car starts!!! No towing. No auto shop. $50 for coming out and he gives some decent advice on where to go buy a battery. Super nice and communicative and not some weirdo. (i've run into like several really weird towing dudes in my life before.) Not sure how much better it could get from a towing service. read more
