Before, it was always just to look because they were a cool shop with cool bikes and who doesn't love that? I wasn't a rider back then, more of an aficionado, but I always told my boyfriend that maybe one day I will actually get something from there. Fast forward to Saturday, Feb. 25th and I have my new Triumph Speed Twin 900 with the help of the fantastic team at Erico! I am still in my beginner phase, so it was truly helpful to have these guys thoroughly explain all that it means to own a bike and really help me decide on which was the best choice for me. One thing that cemented my interest in visiting Erico before any other dealership was that they were extremely helpful when I first called to ask the silly question of whether a Triumph can be a good first motorcycle (there was a little intimidation when thinking about investing in such a beautiful brand since there's always the possibility of dropping it, higher speeds, etc). I had called up a few dealerships both in CO & CA, and Erico really made the best first impression out of all. David Mack, Erico's sales manager, not only went above and beyond to answer any question while following up with relative key product features, but also did that while off the clock! He didn't even have to, but the fact that he did made me believe Erico cares a lot about their riding community. Massive shoutout to David, Deonte, Logan, Joe F. & Joe B. (with special mention to Justin and Sterling for the chats) for helping me with the whole purchase process! You guys were great to work with, and I feel confident that I chose the right dealership. I hesitate to be "that guy", but..... I had a new battery installed on my Triumph. You have to remove the ECM bracket in order to get the battery in or out. This is done by undoing one bolt. Not knowing about the bolt, they broke the ECM bracket by trying to pry it out of the way. This YELP review is about this particular incident, but there have been others. There have been obvious problems that should have been seen by the mechanic and/or the service manager, resulting in service that I would have had done. A service manager needs to inspect every job before he/she signs off on it. They don't do that here, otherwise they would have caught these things. The owner is a good guy and they carry a line of bikes I find appealing but the service dept. really needs either better, or more, people. I've owned a lot of bikes over the years and worked in the service and parts departments at a few shops. This wouldn't fly anywhere I ever worked. Their service manager will always feign ignorance in an effort to upsell you on unneeded and expensive diagnostic work. And only rarely will own up to a mistake they might have made. read more

This time the owner John reached out to me, after some emails back and forth we were able to come to a resolution and agree that this incident was miscommunication. The credits were on my account, but after some time they get wiped for accounting reasons if unused. John reinstated the credits and was proactive in reaching out which I think counts for a lot. While certainly not the smoothest process, it seems like the business is being proactive in remedying issues and for that I certainly give them kudos. read more

Love this shop! Such a cool atmosphere with old school Denver brick and industrial alongside the modern Ducati's, Triumph's and much else. Staff is super friendly, very knowledgeable and happy to help. Got great service on my bike, reasonable pricing and enjoyed hanging out in the shop, looking at all the cool historic bikes they have decorating the facility, and checking out the cool clothes and accessories they have for Ducati and Triumph. Back in 2023 I purchase a Triumph Speed Twin best decision ever,, initially I was interested in a Ducati but the salesman asked me if I had ever considered a Triumph and when I did , I knew right away that this was the Motorcycle was for me. Extremely rude and hostile service manager: A week after purchasing a Ducati Multistrada from them (a $30K bike) and ordered $2K worth of parts, I went in for install. While I was there I asked if someone in the shop is knowledgeable about the electronic suspension of the bike to answer a couple of questions. 10-15 minutes later the service manager walked onto the showroom and offered to talk to me. But after a few minutes of dialog, it became clear to me that he doesn't have the knowledge required to answer my questions and he became visibly upset that I wasn't satisfied with his responses. He then asked if I want my bike's electronic suspension adjusted by their mechanic. Based on his previous responses which seemed to indicate that the electronic suspension is supposed to adjust automatically, I asked if I could just talk to the mechanic who is supposed to be more knowledgeable. He said that this is not an option u less I'm willing to pay for one hour of his labor cost (roughly $180). I said that I had hoped that buying a $30K motorcycle would grant me a conversation with someone, anyone, who is actually knowledgeable because he doesn't seem to be up to the task. This is when he became even more agitated and told me that he has been plenty "patient with me" and that I either F*** off or pay for an hour of their mechanic's time. I had previously had a pleasant interaction with the store owner, John during the purchase, so I asked if I could speak to him instead and was told no. At this point, I asked that they simply cancel the parts repair and give me my bike back. I don't feel comfortable spending any more money at a business that treats a customer this way. He said I needed to pay for an hour of labor for them since the service has technically already begun. I began walking towards my motorcycle to confirm that they had actually started work g on my bike and that it's not a bogus claim. At this point the service manager got physical with me. Yes, you read that correctly. He put his hand in front on my chest to prevent me from walking towards my motorcycle. Since they had not done anything to the bike yet, they finally agreed to cancel the install and release my motorcycle back to me and I walked off. For good. John, a word of advice to you as the owner: bad apples like these sink your business and your reputation which you have worked many years to build. One of your sales personnel lost a sale of another Multistrada to my wife. She took her business to your competitor. And now you've lost mine. If I had to bet real money, I'd say our experience wasn't an isolated one. Do with this information what you will. read more

The service department is a joke. They were trying to charge me $2,000 to fix my bike. The key fob is wasn't starting my bike. They keep it there for 7 weeks telling me ya know it's just not starting. I come down there to pick it up. It starts within 1 minute. I go back inside raising hell. Very unprofessional service department! I called yesterday and left them an after-hours voice mail to ask them if they could look at a scooter that I was considering buying the next day. They did not call me back to let me know they had gotten my message or even give me an estimate on an inspection before THE PERSON I WAS CONSIDERING BUYING THE SCOOTER FROM told me that they had called Erico and Erico TOLD THEM that I had called (giving them my name). The seller then told me that because I was already going to have it inspected by Erico that they would "deliver" it to Erico and take the $160 dollars off of the price of the scooter. This scooter was not in running condition! I was only going to bring it to Erico if it was running. Erico had no right to ruin my bargaining chips with this seller. In and of itself, this is not the worst thing in the world but still. When I called Mike, the head of the service department, he denied that anyone there told the seller about my message. This is impossible there would be no way that my seller knew about it otherwise! Mike denied this over and over. It defies logic of how this could not be true. And look, a text coming in now from the seller who tells me "we called them for an estimate on a battery and informed them we were selling it and they flat out told us you were going to get it inspected." Mike then told me that I wasn't allowed to be angry over this. Mike told me that I could not call him and be angry with him. Mike then had the nerve to ask me if I still wanted the inspection. As I started saying "you never even called me to give me an estimate" he hung up on me. read more

When I dropped my bike off for service, I let Erico know that even though I had a battery that was still under the manufacturer's warranty, I wanted the bike plugged in to a trickle charger because it's always had a large parasitic drain. Well, after a month and a half (recommended service was done quickly, leaking fork seal had to wait for another month to get in), I go to pick up my bike, wait for over 30 minutes, finally hear it turn over in the back, hear the advisor tell me "it was plugged in for all but the last week and a half," and drive off. After getting to a doctor appointment late (didn't expect the delay at Erico), I come back out side, and my bike won't even crank. I'm on a slight hill, so I try to bump start it. And I try again. And again. And on my 9th try (I counted when I was walking it back up the hill), it still won't turn over. Bottom line: Erico did not listen to my specific request based on me knowing my bike, and even if it was plugged in "for all but the last week and a half," they don't work hard to listen or care about what the customer says. Very unfortunate I had to post a negative review for Erico Motorsports. We purchased a lightly used 2016 Ducati Monster in 2019. Our purchase experience was outstanding! Was a fun and very personable experience! We didn't think twice about returning to Erico for some service in October of 2020. (As a note Ducati motorcycles are a bit maintenance intensive and require more care than your typical bike) Our Ducati needed at new battery and we wanted a few accessories installed. Went to Erico. They got is in within a few days, but from there, it sucked. They were demeaning and condescending when we picked the bike up. They made numerous bad comments about previous oem accessories that we installed and complained that the new ones we had them put on was "really difficult" for them to do. A factory recall bulliten was performed on the brake system, but they additionally charged us for the brake fluid that was covered under the recall. The bike was filthy and covered in greasy fingerprints when we picked it up. No effort to clen up their mess waa made. Due to the Ducati's inability to be worked on (even removing a battery is a dealer-only task) and their demeaning and downright rude comments, we traded the bike in on a new Yamaha MT09 at Grand Prix motorsports. No more Ducati's and especially no more lousy service. read more

GOSH DARN IT! That's the response I received in requesting a minor service on a Vespa from a service advisor on Saturday. My wife and I were looking to have a minor service done on her Vespa and I requested to schedule something. Upon the service adviser finding that I had not purchased it from Erico and that it as not a newer model I wouldn't be able to help until some time this winter. Not taking any effort to listen, understand or find if we needed anything else, or even offering any alternative solutions, we left. Now mind you, I am in the market for a Ducati Multistrada and was anxious to find a dealer that had a great service and sales reputation. I'm not one to get irritated or frustrated often as well as come from the sales and service industry. My experience and the manner in which this inidvidual spoke to us as well as the condencsion in his voice truly set me back. I am confident that the phrase "gosh darn it" is his normal way of saying oh, I'm sorry, but we can't help you, so you likely know the man I am referencing. At this point, I'm not looking for anything other than know that impressions matter, service still matters and how you make a customer feel is something that sets a business apart from others. ERICO MOTORSPORTS 2855 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205 One afternoon several months back I was given the opportunity to take a friends motorcycle out for a "quick 5-minute trip" ... which to my surprise ... and his concern, lasted over an hour. A week later, he invited me to go on a ride with him on his other motorcycle (BMW 850GS), after saying he realized that I got off his motorcycle a different man than when I got on and I should go out again. We went out for nearly six hours on the magnificent roads etched into the canyons and cliffsides of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. That initial ride rekindled an ember of what it felt like to ride ... after that day's ride, I laid in bed, more awake and invigorated than I've felt in years. I didn't want a motorcycle again ... I NEEDED ONE! After an extensive search, I found a low mileage, 2017 Ducati Multistrada 950 that met my objectives. After riding it for a few weeks, I was happy, yet the thrill of the previous rides was lost when riding this bike. Feeling it may need a tune or even an upgrade, I took the bike over to Erico Motorsports on Walnut St, Denver. Spoke with Logan who had either an answer to my questions, and/or was willing to find one, whether a part or an option, (it should be noted he contacted me a day later with an answer to a question he needed to investigate. Thanks Logan). I was then introduced to Joe Newton, Service Advisor. Joe's speaking cadence is one of assured confidence, nothing like any Automotive Service Advisor who just pushed papers in front of you to sign to hide their ignorance of a solution to your problem. Joe KNOWS motorcycles. His life experience in and around motorcycles and professionalism was like fatherly advice, making it easy for me to trust both him and the Service Team, which he mentions by name and years of experience, not just the standard, "We'll Take Care Of It". Few days later, I dropped the bike off for service. A complete stranger walked up to help me unstrap and unload the bike from my truck. After helping me get the bike into the Service Dept, I learned that was the Owner and Founder of Erico Motorsports! Not many owners are out front helping unload bikes off trailers and racks - that was meaningful. I mentioned my riding disappointment when dropping the bike off with Joe Newton, who assured me would be addressed when my bike was in front of the Head Tech for maintenance and a few upgrades. The owner had suggested I get the bike "fitted" to my weight and size when I picked up the bike. The Tech realized the previous owner had made some modifications that significantly reduced the performance capabilities of the bike, corrected all the mods and reset the bike for optimum performance. When picking up the bike, the Tech covered details we had in conversation with Joe, yet were never written on my work order - which in turn optimized the best results for my satisfaction. Then the Tech (I wish I remembered your name, sorry!) fitted me onto the bike and set the suspension for my weight. The ride home was exceptional! It stuck the lines I chose in corners; it braked significantly better with front and rear brakes working almost as one without one dominating the other ... and the throttle ... whatever they did, it was exactly what it needed. Over the weekend, the bike and I became one. The feedback of the brakes, the balance of the throttle response, the push the engine gave was now consistent, linear and at higher revs, the exhaust sang like a Ducati twin symphony. All the above now sitting on a properly sprung suspension erased all my previous disappointment and exceeded expectations of what the bike is capable of. I now LOVE my Ducati ... it's more thrilling than any bike I've ridden previously! No shop that would have listened to my complaints and disappointments, then as a team, diagnose and remedy every little nuance I had with the bike, take the time to explain it, then fit it to me ... The best place to go if you're in the market for Triumph accessories. If they don't have it they will order them. But that's not the selling point here. The staff are.! They're so personable and genuinely friendly. They give you their undivided attention and is honest about each of the products you want to buy. No upselling here at all. I love their outfits. Although the smaller sizes are mostly gone but then it's almost everywhere I go. What they have is quite a few XS helmets here and this week some were at a low, low price with a 60% discount. Don't forget the table to the right as you walk in by the window. That's their bargain table. Good stuff there! In the back you will find Doug who's knowledgeable about his dept. There questions after questions were thrown at him about certain accessories and he always comes up with a solution. I'm loving the retro bikes on display that's owned by the shop owner. In a bizarre twist of unfortunate events, we were down to one car. My husband has a BMW dirtbike and since the weather has been unusually warm, was planning to drive that to work so I could take the car. But the rear tire had a flat and would not hold air so I took it into Erico. From the moment I walked in, RAY was awesome!!! He was very sympathetic, tried as best he could to help us right then and there, but ultimately they didn't have the right tube in stock. However, I didn't leave empty handed. Ray called a few stores and found one that had the tube in stock. He also recommended a place for me to learn to ride, and another referral for a vintage moto repair shop. My career has been largely supporting businesses and this review is difficult to write. Before giving this company a dime, I encourage any and all potential customers to review the comments here, on google and the Better Business Bureau. https://www.bbb.org/us/co/denver/profile/motorcycle-dealers/erico-enterprises-incorporated-1296-1000107097/complaints. 28 Years in Business and the business is not BBB Accredited and there is a pretty clear trend and consistent problems where customers are being fleeced. Unfortunately, that is my situation. If you buy a bike from this shop be prepared to perform your own repairs. These bikes are complicated and John, nor his staff stand by their work. Bought a Moto Guzzi Griso in 2018. Although I was assured the bike was in working condition, It's been in the shop more days than it's been on the road. After each and thousands of dollars in repairs, I've been assured the repairs were successful and the bike was working each time. The most recent failure happened the first time I took the bike out after it had been returned from shop. On the return trip, the bike wouldn't start. Called the shop and no one answered because it was before business hours. Found a solution and was able to start the bike and get it home. Notified John who blamed it on the battery. So, I asked that a battery be ordered. I waited nine days before ordering a battery through amazon that was delivered in three. (Still don't know if Erico received the replacement). Replaced the battery and the bike has plenty of power but wont start. I didn't grow up with motorcycles and don't have the time but will learn how to fix this bike. In general the retail shop staff are the only who have been easy to work with. Interactions with sales and service staff fit with the other descriptions. What I take exception to is how cavalier the staff is when it comes to repairs. Bottom line, Ive had one pleasant experience after spending over $16,000 with this shop and have no interest in spending another dime to ANY business that doesn't stand by their work and treat my time and money with the same respect as they would their own. ++++RESPONSE TO COMMENT++++ John, while I understand your point about the battery, please understand the voltage on the old and the new battery are both 12+, and the reason I was told the labor costs continually increased in April was because your team was being comprehensive. I know you didn't do the repairs yourself but something is off. The tech I worked with before had NO problem adding $500+ every time we spoke as he uncovered new "problems". After weeks in the shop I took the bike out once and it didn't start on the return trip which was the SECOND time starting the bike since the repairs. This is after thousands spent in repairs and consistent maintenance done by your staff (timeline below). If the bike is not repaired by the end of September, at no cost to me, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contact Motto Guzzi (the Piaggio Group and Daniele Pinna to start) to make them aware of how the experience at your dealership is impacting their business. read more

I've purchased two bikes from Erico and had a great experience. John's passion for motorcycles comes through his sales people and the way he's set up his shop. Unfortunately, that doesn't extend to the service desk. I've ordered several things and each time it's taken weeks longer than promised, there was poor to no communication, and when I've called in to check (never yet gotten a call from them) they don't bother to call back. Bottom line - don't hesitate to buy from them, but don't bother ordering parts. You'll get it faster and have less headache just going online and ordering yourself. read more

I have never had a poor experience here! I traded in a Vespa LX50 that I previously purchased in CA for a Vespa PX150. That was back in 2006. Since then I have been back in for various maintenance's, several insurance claims, and a little accessorizing... Everything always goes smooth. The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful with questions I have about my scoot. The service department is awesome and even makes some good suggestions on preventative care when you go in for a repair. When I first moved here Michelle even used to send me notices about upcoming events her scooter club was having! The staff always remembers me, which in this day and age is so flattering. Especially when you don't often visit the shop it's self. You can tell they really love the bikes/scooters and what they do! Trust me when I say that I wouldn't hesitate on going back here for my next questions, needs or scoots!! There's two different local Triumph dealerships and this one rocks. From sales and service to custom installs to hosting the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, they absolutely nail it on all fronts. They also carry Ducatis, Vespas, and Guzzis and they have a great selection of apparel and goods too, but my favorite part is probably the location. I love dropping my bike off before heading to Our Mutual Friend or Ratio for a beer. read more

They've been a Guzzi dealer for a long time and had some great insight to mine and other( Triumphs) motorcycles. I will be returning if and when I need any more service or info. I thought this was a rather interesting shop. Maybe an old meat packing warehouse? Either way, it's a very industrial feel which I think it's fitting for boutique European motorcycles - I just wish there was more oil/fuel/rubber smell in the shop. I didn't purchase anything or drop a bike off for service I just came in to see what they had to offer. Good selection of bikes; Ducati, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, among others. There are some cool vintage bikes on display, one of which in a single cylinder MV. Not sure about the quality of the service team or parts area but all in all there is a good group of guys, and girls who work here. read more

I bought 3 bikes from Erico, and even after leaving Colorado, I kept in touch, I know most of the crew for over 5 years by now. This is not just a Ducati shop. It's a community hub full of cool people. I recall my first visit in 2012. The staffs, and the owner John were hanging out. I leaned in to listen. After a while, John turned around and ask what am I looking for. I said "I want to buy a Ducati". He pondered a moment and replied "Are you sure? These bikes are totally overpriced!". Not missing a beat, I said "Maybe I could afford them". John said "Oh yeah? Let's take a walk~". The entire time I thought these folks were customers, cause many of them roam around Erico showroom chit chatting. Me and him walked around, talked about my riding style and needs, he gave very informative guidelines on various Ducati's in the store.... After about the 4th bike we toured, something clicked in my head- "Do you work here??". To which John replied "I own this place". That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship I have always had with Erico. A lot of people feel intimidated when they interact with motorcycle mechanics and sales. They often complain "so mean", "what a buncha douchebags", etc. No, they are not. You just have to have a sense of humor and not be PC about everything. This isn't college gender studies department. These guys go on track every year so they can burn tires, wheelie, and go past 200mph for no particular reason; they parade around town on beautiful Italian motorcycles in tuxedos, for glory and charity; they're addicted to the loud, low-pitched roar of Termi pipes that wake their neighbors from slumber... they live in downtown; they got an attitude... so what? If you want to be like them, don't be offended~ Tough the f up~ I have many fond memories with Erico. The Distinguished Gent's Rides, the MotoGP screening, the Panigale and Monster 1200 premiere, lots of rides... They really get the Denver rider community rallying together, something I've not seen elsewhere in other dealerships. When you buy a bike from Erico, a Ducati, you're joining a community, you'll meet many like minded "douchebags", and some of you will turn out alright~ It's been a great experience that I will continue to live by for the rest of my life. I Wanted to order a new model. Had already spoken to two dealers but called Erico to give them a chance. Other dealers wanted a $250 deposit to order. Erico said they wanted $5000 deposit but "would do" $2500. Oh and on top of paying full MSRP they charge freight and setup of $925 and a doc fee of $345. Brutal!!!!! I brought in my Vespa for an electrical problem, the short was blowing one of the fuses. They convince me, to have the oil change, and replace the battery, that was 8 month old. I did it. They claimed, they fixed the problem, and the total was cca $725.00. The first ride I took was to a local grocery store. I found out, that I am dealing with the same problem, and had to tow my scooter back home. Called the Erico next day. Found out I can bring it back in 3 weeks, as I did. Next phone call from them, was a really bad news. New estimate was $1000,00 plus....They have to take everything a part and blah, blah, blah...Told them, not to even touch it, that I will come to pick it up, and take it to a different shop. They made a sarcastic comment, that if I will take it somewhere else, that they are going to charge me also. I said, that I don't think, that nobody will charge me twice for the problem, they didn't fixed the first place. Same day I took it to the place, my friends recommended, and the rest was a history. They called me after few days, and they said, that they found the problem, and they fixed it for good (In their own words). The price was one third of Erico"s new estimate. I am giving them 2 stars for one reason only. that I know the owner. Maybe he should spend more time at the shop, to really know, how the place is operating without his presence. SORY JOHN!!!!!!! My wife bought a Vespa Primavera from Erico. We live in New Mexico and after searching for the specific Vespa, Kayla, the Finance Manager, was extremely helpful in confirming Erico was receiving one and conducting almost the entire transaction of the purchase through emails. If I could lower the rating, I would. I've had to wait almost a year to write this review to see if the problem Erico wasn't able to repair was repairable. It was by Sportique Scooters (Broadway location) - quickly and reasonably. Back to Springtime 2020, I took my scooter to Erico (where I bought it) because it was having problems starting. To save time, after 4 visits spanning 3 months and a repair bill of approximately $850, it still didn't start reliably at first and then not at all. Okay, that included 2 new tires so take off around $220 leaving about $630 on the table for doing poop after all that time, all those trips and the great expense! In essence, I got two new tires for around $425 each! WARNING - go to Erico for service at your own peril! Better yet, don't go at all! read more

Erico Motorsports is great - have been a customer for over a year, and haven't had a bad experience yet. Bought a used Vespa LX50 off of Craigslist last spring. The previous owner had sort of neglectied it for the past few years, so I decided to take it in for a check-up. Called Erico since it was where the scooter was purchased and maintained, and was easily able to get an appointment. The staff at the service counter is extremely helpful. They are happy to walk you through everything, and are great about calling with updates. When I had issues with my scooter stalling, they were able to fix it no big deal within a day. When my scooter wasn't starting a few weeks ago, I called and was advised it was probably just a dead battery. I just picked up the new battery today, and they even walked me through how to install it on my own. One hour later, I was happily scootering around Wash Park again! In addition to helpful staff and great service, they also have a wide selection of scooter/motorcycle accessories. When I picked up a helmet last spring, they had the right size & color in stock, and I was quickly on my way. Erico Motorsports is really a top notch place. First off..they cater to euro bikes and scooters. I have a Yamaha R6 though and needed some service (tires, brakes, tune). I wanted a place close to home so I could walk over..and this is really the only option in the LoDo area. Even though my bike isnt euro there were no issues with getting service done. They didnt even give me any crap about having a Japanese bike haha.. Very classy guys throughout service, parts, and even sales. They asked me about some of the mods I had on my bike and were fun to talk to about some of the vintage bikes they have around the showroom...the showroom is worth checking out by itself. Very cool stuff! So when I was riding my bike over it died on the corner of Market and 23rd. They were nice enough to send over a guy with a pickup to get the remaining 6 or so blocks. The service estimate was expensive but rightfully so for everything I had done (new rear tire, full tuneup, front/rear brake tuneup, coolant flush, and new battery). All said and done the estimate was actually about $40 more than what it ended up being. That was a really nice surprise. They also gave me a pretty solid deal on the rear tire..better than anything I could find online for that specific model. To top it off all of this service was done within two days. I will definitely be bringing my bike back here for service in the future! read more

FYI, I have never stepped foot into Erico Motorsports. I contacted them in the worst of circumstances (my scooter was stolen) to ask them to keep an eye out for it. Unlike another local shop, this one was super sympathetic, gracious, and made me believe they wanted to be as helpful as possible. I spoke to Doug, who took down my bike's info (VIN and plate), the make, model, color, and my info. Then he told me he would email the entire shop so they'd know to keep an eye out and to stall/call the police if my scooter was brought in. If that's the kind of service they give to people who've never even walked in their door, I have to believe their service to paying customers is phenomenal. Even if you bought the Honda there, apparently they can't service it. Oil change, but they don't have oil filters (I'm pretty sure that's important). They took $ off for the filter, I just wanted a filter. They tried to sell me the maintenance pkg. when I bought it... Glad I passed, $ well saved! Nobody could figure out how to start it.
