I took my MT07 to Vickery Motorsports for a recall. Months later when I went to do my own oil change, the drain plug was stripped and the filter was so overtightened it caved in trying to remove it. They agreed to fix the drain plug, cool. Got the bike back -- now it's leaking oil. Took it to an independent shop for a look. What he found (pic attached): the helicoil they installed is visibly crooked, and there were still metal shavings sitting in the oil pan. Filter was overtightened again. Called Vickery to discuss. Their response was essentially "that was our best guy, he double checks everything" with no explanation for the shavings or the crooked repair. No offer to cover the cost of having another shop redo their work. Just said they wished I'd brought it back again (why would I?). Will never let them touch anything I own ever again and would recommend you do the same. Plenty of other great shops around. read more

I called to get some information as a beginner rider, from the moment the guy picked up the phone he sounded OVER MY SH**, I was being very kind saying things such as I'm sorry if this is a dumb question I'm just trying to understand better, do you mind if I ask about this, what does this persay mean, what would you recommend, etc but he was (and I would love to use a different word) HOSTILE, not assertive, not aggressive, not defensive, not annoyed, HOSTILE. He ended up hanging up on me and it was just a brutal experience. As someone getting into riding, I just wanna be safe and learn the correct way. For context I was inquiring about Yamaha, Honda, suzuki, and even an aprilla that a friend of mine told me about. All between 300-500cc, some insurance questions, and gear. Whole interaction was maybe 8 minutes too including a 30 or so second hold I was put on. I don't like writing these reviews but damn did it feel pretty bad. read more

i am 15 years old and i was going to buy a bike rack when they guys in parts treated me rudely. After i payed for it, i was struggling taking the heavy rack out to the car and all he said was "heaver than it looks" instead of helping me take it out. I wouldn't trust these guys with tires. I took in a new rim and tire to get it installed. The rim came back scuffed and a bubble in the tire. They said since I didn't purchase parts from them they won't do anything about it. Sure, it was a weird rim, but if they didn't feel up to the work they didn't have to accept it. Edit: just learned that the rim is also trashed. This was an imported hub motor+rim, so I'm out $2000. read more

Two stars because they have some chill dealers. They missed out on the other 3 stars because their service department has had my r7 since the beginning of October, and I haven't received a single call about what may be up with the bike. I bought the r7 back in July and it didn't last a full 3 months before issue. Missed out on the latter half of the riding season because they have no urgency to fix your bike, especially if it's under warranty which mine should be. Guess I won't be finding out what the issue is or when I'll see my bike again til sometime next year. In my opinion that's pretty poor service. Obviously I can take my bike elsewhere but they've already had it over a month. Darned if I do darned if I don't at this point and it's aggravating. They've also had a friend of mine's zx10 for a couple weeks longer. Very small progress toward repair on either of our bikes. You'd think they only have one person downstairs working on anything with the way this has played out so far. read more

they repeatedly tell you it will be done in a day or 2. then 3-4 weeks later say oh your machine wasn't a priority to us, words from Bill the owners mouth! even though they say it's first come first serve. service department guys are rude. they don't do the work they say they're going to and then they try to charge you for items covered under warranty. I'd go to any other shop over them after this being a repeat issue for years. They also stated that warranty only covers recall items, so don't plan on them doing any real warranty work. Completely unprofessional and rude. Tried to bill me $160 for a literal 2 minute FREE software flash when they told me it would be covered when I dropped it off. read more

He was honest, if another dealer has a better deal and he can't match it as he doesn't want to take a loss on a bike then so be it. I get it. lol I took in my raptor 700r se on august 22nd , they said it'll be done in about 2 weeks, 2 weeks passed and they still can't fix it lol we keep calling them to see when it's gonna be ready we called them 1 time each week and they keep coming up with excuses saying something else is wrong with it now lol it's September 21 today , it's been a month , I called today to see when it's gonna be ready and guess what they say they said something else is wrong with it now lol this like the 3rd time they say something else is wrong with it and we have to pay for the parts lol , my dad had an idea what was wrong with jt before we took it he said it was the piston we took it and like 2 days later they call us saying it was the piston and something else , after that they just kept on making excuses to have more time with my raptor lol. It's a very fast and fun raptor their probably riding the hell out of it that's why they keep saying something else is wrong with it . I don't recommend this shop at all lol it's a scam. They called today ( September 22) they called this time to say that now they found something wrong with a sensor lol, that it was backfiring I had the raptor for a while now and it never backfired on me lol read more

I have not bought anything from Vickery, so my review is based on my experience with them. My husband and I were interested in buying a scooter. After deciding that I wanted a Yamaha I called Vickery Motorsports and talked to them about what they carry. They did not have any of the scooters we were looking for but they said that I could put a deposit down for the next one that came in. Unfortunately my husband and I decided that since we are having kids soon it would not be smart to get a scooter instead of another car. So, that reason and some other factors made us decide not to get the scooter. My husband called and talked with the manager Brent. He explained our situation and how sorry we were not to be buying the scooter. He agreed to give us our deposit back. It was so nice that he would do that, I was expecting them to say "too bad". Brent said that he just wanted to provide the best service to us and make sure we were happy. He definitely know the value of amazing customer service. Great Job!! read more

Disappointed and frustrated. Good: Brought one of my snowmobiles in for a repair 2 months ago. They repaired it. Easy to deal with, explained the problem, showed me the worn parts. 5 stars. Bad: Brought 2nd snowmobile in for insurance repair estimate. They charge $130. Estimate is incomplete and incorrect. For example, all of the part numbers are incorrect. It includes many items (body panels) I told them are not part of the claim. I have discussed this with them 4 times. I have been down to discuss this face to face. I have emailed them the insurance appraiser's estimate with the correct part numbers and I included the correct part numbers for the supplemental items. I have supplied them with all of the relevant part numbers, yet they continue to ask,"what do you want us to do?" I keep saying,"correct the estimate." Meanwhile the snowmobile sits outside, uncovered, with an open chain case exposed to the elements. There is grit in it now. It will take me 2-3 hours to properly clean the chain case interior and will require some disassembly. AARRRGGHHH! Right now they seem to be unable to do a correct and complete estimate in a reasonable timeframe. They had the sled for 3 weeks. To their credit they have been apologetic and polite. I think they are going through a management transition in the service department and I was a casualty. They did not charge for the useless estimate because they acknowledged their failure. I'm willing to try them again in a few months. read more

We needed a tool to remove some chain links from our chain. They started looking around fit the tool, and it became evident the tool was sold out. Tommy in the parts center asked if he could take a look at the chain. He suggested a method that ought to work, even without the tool. Then, a moment of inspiration came upon Tommy as he looked down at our abnormally long chain as he explained how one could remove some links. Tommy said something to the effect of "fear not!" and took this freakishly long chain to the back room. Our parts-specialist-turned-hero fought the chain for a few seconds, and returned. Tommy the magnificent, chainslayer, master of tools, firstsword of Vickery, prince of metal manipulation, warden of links, avenger of tool-less souls, chainbane, had saved the day. 10/10 would work with Tommy again. read more

As a 30 something year old female it is extremely difficult to shop for anything with a motor, let alone a road bike and be taken seriously. I had been into Vickery many times before I had been seriously looking to purchase a bike. Every time, I was always kindly and comfortably greeted to be assisted whether my trip there was big or small or if I was looking for something or tagging along with someone else. Now, it was time for me to buy my own and very 1st bike...these guys weren't going to sell me a bike if it wasn't going to be the right bike for me. Before I had even signed anything, this was my first welcoming to the community...or some consider the camaraderie to be similar to a family. Well, that's exactly what this place has been since I've been alive. They have been a family owned business that gives back to the community. Now that has got to tell you something...honesty and longevity speaks volumes! Although I worked primarily with my salesman, Pete, the entire staff was very helpful and supportive of each other. Pete had years of experience and knowledge to share with me to help answer my questions and guide me towards the right bike for me. I have a hard enough time picking out a pair of shoes let alone my first bike! Pete was so patient and understanding of what I was looking for and what I could handle. He even invited me back after the purchase was finalized to share some additional tips of riding safely that they don't teach you in the rider courses. After many back-n-forths of indecisiveness I finally ended up with my 09' Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and have loved every minute of it! (1,300mi. in 2 months) Pete was right!!! and worked hard to give me the best deal that Mr. Vickery could possibly give (especially during the peak of the summer). After my purchase I couldn't resist my curiosity and continued to research and compare my bike (IE. the miles vs. $$) to others on Craigslist and other shops...still, nothing compares!!!
