I have been using Eric's for a few years now. what can I say? always, honest, up front, courteous...and above everything...they know what they are doing. I am a technically challenged "Senior Citizen" who is still involved in the Business World and got a major Virus in my computer. Searched online and fond Eric's Computers. Gave them a call and within an hour had one of their Technicians (Aaron) arrived. He worked for a solid hour and removed the dangerous virus but found several more. I've never written a yelp review, but after my fantastic experience with these guys I felt like they deserve some kudos. I took my laptop to them after my patience wore out from my intermittent wifi. They diagnosed the problem as a broken wireless card. They replaced the card, and worked their magic on the rest of the computer- it's now faster than it was before it had the wireless problem. I have an old PC with Vista. I was recently unable to login after several automatic updates were applied. Unfortunately, I had not backed up many critical files, so when I encountered this login issue, I was very concerned about possibly losing data. I called 2 companies to find out of they could help me but felt very uneasy after talking with with them. These guys have the best customer service around. I will take all my computers to them for repair. My computer was trashed after someone tried stealing it. Best Buy would only mail back my computer to get a quote saying damaged beyond repair which would have been 4-6 weeks. These guys looked at it and ran diagnostics in only a couple hours. The support at the big stores is inconsistent, and often the technicians seem to lack knowledge and expertise. Eric and Julian diagnosed my computer's problem and fixed it promptly. My computer got the FBI virus and locked my computer. Eric's quoted me half the price of other shops. Scheduled the appointment for 1:00 pm and Aaron showed up right on time. In 45 minutes he had removed the virus, installed protection, undated and cleaned up my system. Price was as quoted and I would highly recommend. read more

So, this is a two-step process. I dropped off my PC at another tech shop in Martinez and stated I needed it back in a week. When I called them after the week, they were not in and returned my message saying they had not gotten to it. After cooling down, I called around and found Eric's. They assured me they could turn the PC around in 2 days and any cost over the diagnostic would require my approval. When they called in 2 days, the PC was fixed and there was no additional charges. I have found my new conputer guy (s),,,they were nice fast affordable and most importantly HONEST.....they fixed my kids laptop and we had it back in one day...it was a small fix but I had already counted this laptop as dead..and they fixed it and didnt charge me for nee parts or whatever the other places (frys) do....they will come to you..but taking it to them is just as easy....they have a garage shop in a residential area...dont be put off by that...these guys are awesome....they have gained my trust in one fix..... read more

The whole experience from start to finish was great. Everyone dreads that day when your laptop dies. You feel lost and hopeless. I found Eric's on Yelp and the rest was easy. Diagnosis of the old one was quick. Eric's gave me some options without being pushy or techy and I decided to order a new laptop. I delivered it to them when it arrived. They transferred everything. I had two very slow computers, one of which had a defective hard drive. Eric came to my house sped up the old one, took the newer one with him.
