The employee escorted to my unit but when we got there, she told me she brought me to the the wrong unit (after I already hauled a huge cart of things to the original unit). She said she would have to check her system for the correct unit while I just waited in the hallway with a cart full of things. She came back up after checking her system and told me the correct unit was on another level and it would be more $$ a month. I told her that wasn't fair because the error was with their business, not me and therefore I shouldn't have been penalized by spending more money. She repeatedly told me I wasn't being penalized even though they would be charging me more $$ per month. She finally agreed to speak with her district manager who thankfully honored the original price. However, the problems didn't stop there. The business charged me twice for the first month and didn't respond to emails or phone calls in a timely manner when I tried to bring up the issue with them.

Before coming here, I had a couple of 5×10 indoor units in Thornton that cost nearly three times what I'm paying now for a 15×20 unit with direct outdoor access and a roll‑up door. In Thornton, I was always worried about theft, the staff seemed to change every week, and moving items in or out was a physical challenge because of the tight hallways, tiny access doors, and the general disapproval from management anytime I needed to move things. At the Dacono location, I can drop off or pick up items almost anytime I need to, and the payment options are extremely convenient--whether you want to pay upfront, online, on‑site, or by mail. A‑American Storage in Dacono is far superior to any other storage facility I've worked with in this area.

I saw that almost every review was 5 stars. There was one person who gave them a 1 star and I know after being in business for over 30 years there is always that one person. So I called ahead to see if there was anything special that I needed to bring with me. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She said that when I got to the location they would set me up. When I arrived it was busy. The young lady working there was working with one customer filling his tanks and another was just ahead of me. When it was my turn she walked me through what I would need (new adaptors so I could use my RV's current hook ups and regulator). She was very helpful and pleasant. She kept everyone in order and was on top of it. I told her that I pick this place because of the reviews and she said that she was proud of doing a good job. She also mentioned the negative review that was posted and said the guy never came to her location. He mentioned the receptionist as being rude and there is no receptionist on sight. Just her and the 2 awesome dogs in the office. Anyway I had an amazing first experience at Affordable Propane from the first call to getting my 2 tanks filled. The price was 1/2 of what I would hav3e paid at the other locations I called. So although the reviews were better I also came for the price as well. It was a win win and I will be back.
