Due to dry rot, this also required carpentry work. In just about a week, they replaced about 40-50 rotten boards, painted the deck wood and walls, did other cosmetic repairs, and ensured everything was moved back to where it was when they were done. Their communication was on point and they always showed up when they said they would. Matt goes beyond as well. He makes sure you're aware of all options on how what kind of finishes are possible and why any might be considered. He addressed structural issues caused by the original builders. He also approaches the project in a manner that ensures the rest of the house won't get damaged during the work (in this case, hoisting all the new and old wood off the roof via rope). Ok after a couple years the stairs boards started coming off especially at the edges... another…read morecontractor doing some unrelated work told me they were not attached properly, they used some sort of flimsy staples. I was assuming it's normal for composite decking. Well it's not... I was able to pull off several boards by hand with barely any effort. I bought a box of proper screws to fix it. There was also a bunch of broken wood from the old stairs and enough screws to build another porch under there apparently. So I guess 5 stars for painting, 3 for the porch.

I hired A&I's Painting Services Co. to paint the exterior of our 2-story home in Shoreline, WA…read more Jorge, the owner, provided the estimate, he was on-time, professional, answered all my questions and provided a reasonable estimate (I got several). Three days after pressure-washing the house, they started prep work, taping the windows & around fixtures, removing the downspouts, scraping off old caulking, etc. The following day painting began. Due to some rain, the job was completed 1 day later than estimated, but they did what they could. The job took 1/2 day for pressure washing and 5 days to prep and paint. The crew was great, arriving early or on time each day and really working hard making sure they did everything properly. They even put back big potted plants that had to be moved, which I really appreciated. Jorge came by the work site each day to make sure things were going smoothly and answer any questions I had. There are a lot of painters out there, so choose carefully, choose A&I's Painting! I will hire them again for sure!

I had booked him for services to fix my toilet and install a garbage disposal. He had mentioned he was working another job at the same time and said he'll come back for the garbage disposal. He never did. He billed $270 total for 20mins of his time. I had expressed my concerns that the job was not done and asked if i could get a discount. He refused. Although i liked his work, he couldn't help to reduce the cost. I'll take my business elsewhere. We all get screwed over at some point i thought this guy would work with me but nope. Another story of a guy on his high horse screwing the small man over.

I had Exterior Crew perform a full siding replacement on my parent's house toward the end of last…read moresummer (2019) in preparation for its sale. Exterior Crew came in with a realistic bid and got the job. They started the job when promised and a friendly and professional crew showed up. During the work the crew was available for questions and were very courteous. The company management was always available by phone, text or email. During the initial phases of the work I received a 'right to lien property' notice from a materials supplier, which is a standard practice. I called the supplier and asked about Exterior Crew's payment history. They said they were good payers and that I really had nothing to be concerned about. Having had problems with liens due to poor character contractors, this was good news to me. After the job had started I noticed an exterior door that had dry rot at the bottom of the door frame. This had not been noticed previously and I asked what it would take to include the door replacement in the job. A fair add on price was negotiated and the company manager provided me a sample of available doors. One was selected and the door was put in with no hassle. Exterior Crew also does painting but I have a house painter friend and I was able to have him come in after and do his thing. At least one of the other bidders for this work did not like that I had my own painter and I feel their bid included a penalty for not having them do the additional work. Exterior Crew was fine with this situation and just did their work with no issues. The job was completed in a timely manner and they did a reasonable cleanup after. I couldn't ask for anything more on the siding job While the siding job on the house was underway, I had a long term commercial tenant in a building I manage request the exterior be painted ASAP. The owner's are responsible for the building exterior per the lease. By this time it was getting into September and I really needed the paint job to get done fairly quickly to beat the cool wet weather. Exterior Crew was able to get painters on the site within a reasonably short period of time. Due to the tight time frame I was unable to secure multiple bids, and I am not confident in knowing specifically how much this job should cost. As beating the weather was the most important issue I just went ahead and had Exterior Crew do the work. While I cannot attest to the competitive cost of the paint job, the most important thing to me was getting the painting done quickly and if it turned out that I paid a bit of a premium for this, then so be it. They solved the problem for me and the tenant was happy. That's all I really needed. At time of this writing I have discovered a dry rot problem at my house. I've performed some small dry rot repairs on my own, but this one is more involved than I want to tackle. I've asked Exterior Crew to come and give me an estimate because I have confidence in their work and appreciate how they operate their business.
