He has always made my family and I feel completley at ease and has always answered any questions of mine with thoughfulness and accuracy. I chose to see Dr. Haughton while I was pregnant with my first son and although he is not particularly an OB/GYN provider, he is fully capable of treating those who are with child. I never felt rushed when he addressed all of my concerns as a new mother and I felt like he genuinely cared about my well being. He doesnt work full time ( which is probably why he's so good at what he does) so you have to be flexible because he may not be available at your every beck and call but he is totally worth the wait I feel so lucky to have been able to find a doctor that I feel like I can talk about anything with and not be judged or chastised. he never talks to me in a condescending manner and has always been professional I will be going to dr. My doctor (Dr. Johnson) pays attention and I can get appointments scheduled at time that work for me (without having to miss work). He's caring and attentive without just going straight for prescriptions to solve the problem. The front staff are very nice, helpful, and patient with people.

I was told by her MA I had nothing wrong with my thyroid only to be informed by another provider I had Hoshimoto's thyroiditis. My pharmacy can tell me exactly every request they have made to this office by date, whether it was via phone, email or electronic but this office claims they never received any requests. They are quick to argue but have no initiative to try and remedy the situation. I've repeatedly given them my updated pharmacy info and they claim they have it. During the last conversation with them they told me my secondary insurance is no longer accepted at their office. No letter sent to inform patients. Then they tell me that I have no longer have refills available and will need to make an appointment. I reminded them they don't accept my insurance any longer. They expect you to communicate through My Chart but either my emails are ignored or, if they do respond, often the emails are not signed so you have no idea who you're communicating with. Today I discovered my account was cancelled 10/2025 with no notice to me. How can a medical practice continue to see patients and prescribe medication when my account has been cancelled? The staff is incompetent and quick to argue. They behave as if they have no responsibility toward their patients and their care. Save your self some grief and go elsewhere.

Sarah Gieszl, DO. She is sent from heaven. She's brand new to the clinic but don't let that scare you. She cares, truly cares. The second she walked in on our first visit she immediately states that she spent the previous night looking over all my charts, surgeries, labs and basic history (and there's a lot of it) so she was prepared and familiar with me when she saw me. WHAT DOCTOR WILL DO THAT FOR YOU?! Her. I came in and I wanted some testing done because my oncologist didn't seem to really care about my requests and she was so invested in me. She suggested related test and unrelated test that she thought would be best. She went and reached out to my oncology office to advocate for me to give me the tests I'm asking for and specifically telling them which labs to run when I never asked her to. She just cared. I love her and I will follow that woman where ever she goes. You'd be lucky to get dr. Sarah.

Dr. Yan Geng needs to be evaluated in whether or not she has the bandwidth for the clients she treats. She's unable to discuss more than a singular issue in an appointment after showing up into the room a half hour later. The other reviews on her competency lines up 110% with our experience. In past phone calls with office manager Dale R, he stated that Pioneer Family Practice has taken on too many clients per doctor, and the quality of client care absolutely shows that. Dale R refused to give his full name after yelling in our faces when we took a photo of Dr. Yan Geng's name on the wall, a spelling which is uncommon. We should've known taking a picture of our doctor's name would've resulted in being kicked out and Dale R's face becoming inches from ours. Good luck to any present patients, our now retired doctor told us to leave before the transfer to Dr. Yan Geng. We wish we had listened, it would have saved huge headaches and some hope for the future of Pioneer Family Practice

There is an online portal that you can use to message the team and view your summaries and medications I've spoken to over 6 different people (scheduler, front desk, surgeons nurse, etc) and always receiving the help I was seeking. If not immediate, I had a follow up call or voice mail to close the loop. We all know people are only able to assist within their scope, some of these reviews are coming from individuals who have one other review which pains a skewed picture

Several days ago, I re-injured a shoulder rotator cuff causing sharp pain, considerable aching, loss of sleep, and limiting personal care. An MRI and a medical examination of the original injury signaled the need for a complete shoulder replacement. Instead, I chose a treatment plan of physical therapy and acetaminophen with a cortisone injection when needed. The recent re-injury caused sufficient pain to seek a cortisone injection. Therein rests my review of Olympia Orthopaedics. My physician is away on vacation and cannot order the injection. No health care provider is identified as a standby during his absence. The schedulers must "find a team that is willing" to order and give an injection during my physician's absence. Olympia Orthopaedics Urgent Care Clinic does not give cortisone injections. My torn rotator cuff and re-injury is certainly not an emergency. However, I await a resolution to my current need with the experience and thought of "once out the door...". Clearly, Olympia Orthopaedics needs to have a contingency plan/policy for continuity of care for patients when a health care provider is unavailable for whatever reason.

She respects questions and responds with good ideas. Her professional staff are friendly and effective, and front end staff are welcoming and efficient, plus being deliberately helpful. My wife has been seeing her for over 20 years and for most of those visits I have been along. I don't remember a single time we we kept "cooling our heels." Based on my observations, confirmed by my wife, Dr Playstead is in the top tier of her profession, and we highly recommend her.

We are both very appreciative of her expertise, her willingness to listen and her openness to suggestions or alternative options. She is very responsive, answers emails, is willing to suggest a specialist whenever that fits, and she calls with lab results faster than any doctor I have had. While she only works three days a week (her family is important to her!), it is easy to work around her schedule. When a visit is more urgent, all of the doctors at Pioneer Family Practice are wonderful doctors. We have no complaints whatsoever about Dr. Playstead and the clinic where she practices!
