I just went to Erin's Salon to get my hair done and had an amazing experience. I am in the Sacramento area and recently graduated from college in Los Angeles so I have been trying to find a good hairstylist and hair salon that I can consistently go to. I found Erin's Salon through Yelp and saw great reviews and then realized it had even more amazing reviews on Google so I had to try it out for myself. I asked for long layers and the stylist did an incredible job cleaning up and blending my layers. Before my haircut the layers were not very blended and you could clearly see them but now everything looks smooth and natural. Overall this was a great experience and I am very happy with my hair. Absolutely want to give a shout out to Erin's salon. She was open when I needed her on a Monday afternoon: Lets start with my mani-pedí: Lynn did my mani-pedi and she has such a quick and light touch that I fell asleep in the chair and my nails were done before I realized what time it was. Next my hair: Erin took care of my hair with a wash and dry, cut and style. She knows how to take care of her customers and it's Such an upgrade from my last negative experience at Super Cuts which was I previously posted about. I think the prices are super reasonable for all services. I asked for wash and cut and the cut will always come with a blow dry and style and that's how she prefers it to let her customer walk away with the best results for the price and with that "just walked out of the salon" look. The communication felt disorganized from the start, and the appointment did not feel respectful or comfortable. During the service, I felt dismissed when trying to explain my preferences, and there wasn't much openness to collaboration. The pricing also changed from what I expected at checkout and no effort was made to try to resolve the situation. The salon is absolutely adorable--super clean with such a calm and welcoming vibe! They had soft, relaxing music playing in the background, which made the whole experience even better. I made a last-minute appointment for a haircut and color the same day, and Erin was amazing! I showed her a few inspiration photos and gave a rough idea of what I wanted. It was the worst place I have ever been to in my life. I definitely do not recommend it. The hair that was done had nothing to do with the model I wanted and no apology was even made in return.
