Had my Dodge pick-up towed in on April 16th 2015 , rear end went out just East of Fillmore ,call Ernie's and told them it was being towed in to them, Picked-up my wife ,and friend that were in driving to wedding in Ventura CA, Talked to Isa about them doing the repairing , He seamed friendly ,and said that he could not take a look at it until Monday April 20th, told if that was fine. I called his on Friday April 17th ,and asked him if he had even looked at my truck? He said that the rear end was bad, and that the drive line alone was going to be close to $900.00 because it is Aluminum ,that the tube would have to be replaced ,and one end was bad. He said a new sent of gears for the rear-end would be about $1800.00 ,and that he did not know what else may be bad in the rear-end ,and it could be more. I returned home on Saturday April 18th and make a couple of phone calls ,looking for someone to tow my Truck back home. found a company to do it for a reasonable price, I called Ernie's on Sunday April 19th, and left a message on there answering machine telling them not to start any work on my Truck that I was going to be picked-up . I call again on Monday April 20th in the morning a 8:00 AM when they opened up, and told them the Truck was going to be picked-up during the week and as soon as I got word from the Hauler I would call them back. This is when the Attitude Changed ! He told me that I needed to get the Truck off his lot, I told him that the hauler would be call me this morning with a time and date when they would pick-up my truck,he said that was fine .Shortly after that the Hauler called me ,and said that they would be there to get my truck on Wednesday April 22. I call back to Erine's and told them that the Truck would be picked-up on Wednesday , they said that was fine, I thanked them for all there help . On Wednesday April 22 the Hauler arrived to pick-up my Truck , and the Wince on the trailer would not work, he asked the men there at Ernie's if they would help him get the truck up on the trailer ,they both told him NO! He told them that he would be back ASAP to get the Truck, the next morning April 23rd he showed back up to get my truck , be it was GONE! The men at Ernie's gave him a number to call ,the number was to a towing company ( Jim's Towing, Recovery& Storge at 1575 W. Ventura St. Fillmore CA. 93015 . Ph 805-524-2899 He called them ,and they said the towing charge was $100.00 ,he asked were they at? they told him that they would bring the truck to him at Ernie's . He sat there for a hour,and a half waiting for them before they showed-up.
First of all ,I would have been more than willing to pay Ernie's to let my Truck sit on they lot for the time it did! They were not going to lift a finger to help the Hauler when his Wince would not work,I think this is Chicken SH*T of them, If they wanted The Truck off there lot you think they would have given him a hand
Second, They didn't contact me about moving my Truck off there lot !
Third, I found a good used drive line for $50.00 complete, and a rear end for $1000.00 complete& installed ,and Guaranteed for 1 year !
