Really happy with my experience at Williams Automotive. My radiator randomly blew during lunch one day and I had coolant everywhere. I had no idea where to take my car on such short notice, but I called them and they told me to bring it in so they could take a look. The next morning Scott called me and explained what needed to be done. I gave them the okay, and my car was ready just a few hours later. I also looked around and got a few quotes from other shops just to see if the price was fair, and Williams Automotive ended up being the best price by far. They also let me know my transmission fluid was really dark, which honestly wasn't surprising since I had never changed it. I came back for that service and an oil change, and once again everything was done quickly and for a really good price. Everyone I've dealt with there has been friendly and helpful. The lady in the office is also super nice, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I'm really happy with the service, price, turnaround time, and customer service. I usually take my cars to bigger chain shops, but after coming here, I'd much rather keep bringing them to Williams Automotive. read more

Otherwise I'm pretty ignorant) I take my 2017 Mazda 6 in for annual service (I don't drive a lot of miles) and I'm so comfortable with Scott I just verbally give the okay upfront to fix anything necessary. I went their on 2/18/25 with my Cadillac SRX and the moonroof was leaking and was clogged. The owner was nice enough to explain what the issue was and where to go. It was a little out of his scope of what he does, but he made sure he pointed me in the correct direction and also backed up my vehicle so that I was able to get out of the driveway safely very professional and gave his attention to the matter if I had any other issues with my vehicle, I would absolutely have brought it there. read more

I have a 1999 Toyota Forerunner with 310,000 miles on it, which was having a misfire issue. I had previously taken it to a local mechanic and to the Toyota dealership and neither were able to correct the issue. Williams Automotive was recommended to me by a coworker and it was pretty much my last resort. I took it in and talked to the owner, Scott. He diagnosed it pretty quickly and it turned out to be the fuel injector. He took care of the problem - my car now runs beautifully, thanks to Scott. Their team is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. The quality of work is outstanding and the price is fair. It's best to make an appointment - because of their reputation, they are extremely busy, but it's worth waiting a day or two to have your car serviced by them. read more

I was desperate for someone to take a second look at my car again after a recall appointment at Mazda led me through a downward spiral with suggested maintenance repairs totaling $2,500+. I just moved to Oxnard from Fresno and during my move I drove my Toyota Sequoia back to back trips between Fresno and Oxnard. Just before the move, I noticed that my truck was making a clunking noise every now and then even while idle. I definitely knew this was not the norm. I decided to take it to Williams Automotive on Friday morning and Scott opened the hood and took one look and knew what the problem was. He said I had a fan that was loose and the bearing had worn out. He said he was surprised I made the trips in it because the fan could have broke off and caused more damage to the engine. The young man who serviced my car was polite and helpful. A further repair was suggested for my water pump which appeared to have some leakage, but I never felt pressured to have it or any other repairs done. He diagnosed what I was thinking to be a major engine issue as - the air filter was not installed properly (from an oil change I had at a fast service place), causing sensor malfunctions. Finding a quality and knowledgeable mechanic, that charges a reasonable price for their work, is tough to do. Scott performed the requested repairs on my daughter's SUV and even advised me when work wasn't necessary. One repair that stood out was fixing the gas gauge that had stopped working. In talking through this with Scott, he identified this as being a common ground wire issue, that I had also seen on YouTube, and he fixed it. I had spoken to at least three other mechanics and none had an idea of how to fix it, even when I pointed them in that direction. I don't know much about cars so disregard if you do, but this place was as honest as it comes. Our car eats oil for all 3 meals and he told us that in advance. It wasn't cheap and we were charged $211 for diagnosing the problem and changing our sparkplug on the same day with labor. He even lifted up a different cylinder to determine the source of the problem after the machine code. I don't know if there's a way to seal this leak but got a quote from another place and am bringing it back here to figure out if it's legit or not. This is our new go-to place in Ventura. read more
