My original request was for the electrical inspection because I was doubting that there may be other underlying issues that burnt 2 of the receptacles at my condo. Jose didn't find any fault in my circuit breaker and diagnosed that it was because the burnt receptacles are not aluminum rated and that my tenant was using way too much electricity. So, he replaced both of them with aluminum rated outlets within about half an hour for $620 + 3% credit card fee. I felt it was pretty expensive but he explained that it was mainly because of how messy it was for him to clean it up. He offered to come back for an additional inspection of the rest of the outlets for a cheaper price. He said he wasn't able to inspect the rest that day because of how messy my condo was. I didn't feel like it was a professional comment to make. Well...another 2 receptacles stopped working the very next day. I ended up calling another company and they educated me about everything in details. I ended up requesting to add dedicated circuits for the microwave and fridge. Now, there's no more problem! I wish Jose diagnosed the underlying problem instead of making the quick money on just replacing the receptacles.

I can't even use the oven; breaker won't handle the load. He didn't leave me an invoice, so I don't know exactly what he charged me for. Waste of $500. Just spoke to the installer, who took responsibility for his work. He is writing me an invoice, and refunding me $300, which is better than a complete loss, although I am still out $200 and another electrician will have to replace it all during an upcoming kitchen remodel (which is what prevents me from having the service man just re-do his work). So Jensen's Electric is showing integrity by taking responsibility.

Bayval Electric was our first choice very quickly due to their timely response to come out and they were the first to get a detailed bid quote to us, despite being the third to look at the job. They were also a couple thousand dollars less than the highest bidder. Communication and professionalism was outstanding throughout the entire job. They answered every question, were always on time and demonstrate a meticulous work ethic. At the very beginning Bayval Electric knew exactly what was required to get Modesto City permits and coordinated with MID to complete the work in a timely manner that was a week ahead of the original schedule. They went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done right and in addition to the required work, they eliminated a fire hazard in the house by replacing an outdated screw-in fuse panel and pulled new lines back to the new main panel. They also ran additional grounding lines to the natural gas and water service entrances to further protect the house from lightning strikes. Bayval Electric identified and corrected an installation error on a previous electrical EV charging line done by a different electrical company. We will call them first, without question if we ever need any electrical work. Our home is up to code and we feel so safe due to the diligence and expertise of their work.
