Herk's came right over when I called about a back up in our bathtub. I had lots of visiting company and they fixed the problem quickly. I asked about the pipes under the house and they took pictures and explained the situation which involved pipes that were evidently installed by someone other than a professional plumber. I requested that they replace the pipes, which they did. I was pleasantly surprised by what they charged and how efficiently they worked. Found this business for my mom and service was so good that she told me to make sure I leave a review for them. She's had different companies come out to check her sewage line after finding roots in the system, every last one of them said she needs to replace the system. And that they need to dig out under the house. After having herk's come by and give his opinion, he said the pipe was already replaced and roots were coming in from the connection. He helped my mom call the city for them to take care of it, which they did. Cleaning out the line of roots and also apply weed and roots killer. He explained everything very well and also let my mom see what he saw on camera and explained it to her so she understands what's really going on. Owner was very clear with communication & pricing. had emergency situation and they were there within 1.5 hours of first call on a Sunday. The job could not wait til Monday (unfortunately) for the weekend be prepared to pay an extra $300 just to come out. Jose was so polite, understood the job, and got straight to it. I appreciate that I will get photos as well for my records. The job was thoroughly done and back up & flushing in a few hours. Had to use jet to clean mainline and it was clogged with "flushable wipes" which are NOT flushable and should NEVER be flushed down toilet. They just do not break down. You've been told... Had one of the plumbers come to my house with zero manners. Unexpectedly rude and crass. He spoke with a demeaning tone. Accused me of "breaking" my own plumbing. And said "who f*cked with this?". We had them do all of the valves in the shower 4 years ago and thought they might have a replacement part for the part that's clearly broken. ( on the inside) I sent pictures so that he would " have the right part". He said he didn't. Awful customer service. I wouldn't have this person in my house again. Clearly irritable. *update in reply my actual plumber looked at it. But because it was done by your company he said it might be easier for them to get the parts. I did not suggest that the work is warrantied but I thought the part may be. His lack customer service, attitude, and combative stance makes me think that it's a family issue. No thank you. Extremely disrespectful technician (Dustin) over the phone. Poor customer service and not knowledgeable. Don't recommend.

The guy who came out was able to arrive within 30 mins of my call, he was nice, and that's where the good ends. $250 for 40 mins of work is criminal. This is an industry that holds you hostage to your own repair needs. You get to choose between astronomical rates and sewage pouring into your house. He left me to repair and fix the pipe he dug up and knocked a hole into fire the rooting. Told me to unfold a soda can, use that to cover the hole, and then just pile dirt on top of it. For $250 you'd think the repair guy could do that little bit of repair. I would highly suggest replacing your dispatcher (who seemed very annoyed to have to field my call early on a Sunday morning.... get a different job?) position with a customer service representative position, who actually has knowledge of the company and can answer questions before being charged for a site visit. When asking about services or pricing, she said she was just the dispatcher and didn't know any of that, but this morning discussing that the problem wasn't solved yet, she seemed to know everything about the process and prices. Just another skeezy tactic to get them out to your house and charge you for the visit. I challenge you to be better, but you won't because $$$$ Edit for response: You bet I'm complaining! People are poor! I had to choose between having sewage in my house and being able to poop and pee, vs eating something other than Ramen for the next few weeks. If you don't want to work on the weekend then close up shop and don't work on the weekend. Grocery stores don't charge extra for being open on the weekend. Gas stations don't charge extra for being open on the weekend. Thousands of businesses are open on the weekend and they don't charge anything extra. Your response reads like "Well, we pillage, plunder, and steal less than other pirates, so you should be thankful." AND the bathtub is still draining slowly so you didn't fix anything. Called Herks on a Monday and they came out to give a free estimate on Tuesday morning. Dustin called me 30 minutes before arriving and greeted my pups at the door. He immediately got to work and provided fair estimates for installing a new kitchen faucet, fixing two randomly running toilets, and a new water heater. He provided a detailed explanation on pros and cons of tankless water heaters and explanations on the issues with the toilets. He was able to install the new kitchen faucet and fix one toilet on the spot at a fair price. Dustin was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and Left my house spotless. The guys called to let us know that they would be here within a 1/2 hr. and they were. They came in and made an assessment of our problem and had it totally resolved in less than an hour!! Each time they were kind, quick and professional. I had an ADU project at my home and was referred to Herks. I was quoted a price and agreed to begin the project. After a few hours of busting up my concrete the plumber that was working the project told me that they wanted to charge me more money or they were going to leave the job. I agreed to an additional over $1,000 from what I was quoted. The plumber that was left here to do the job seemed very inexperienced and did terrible work. I also was told I was going to get a tankless Navien NPE-240A2 water heater. I just realized that they lied to me and installed the NPE-240S2 which does not have the built-in recirculation that I requested. After the inexperienced plumber they left here to do the work kept screwing up and taking more and more time out of ignorance the owner's son showed up on the next the last day and gave me grief because his plumber was lying to him because the job was taking him so long. The owner which showed up on the last day and he was very unprofessional and acted like a jerk because the plumber they had here lied through his teeth and was doing slow terrible work and put the blame on me somehow. Here I am thanking the water heater I bought and paid for was the model I wanted and now I see I was lied to about that as well. I did not recommend this company. Overall it was very unprofessional and they did very sloppy unprofessional work. I thought I was saving money using them and was given a deal initially and then my job was basically held for ransom to get more money out of me and they sold me a cheaper water heater that does not do what I wanted it to do. OK, for anyone looking for a good plumbing company, this is it! I had a terrible, foul sewage smell in my bedroom and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I called Herk's and they sent a guy within a day of calling, he was friendly, not over talkative, and discussed everything with me and took the time to even look at another issue I was having. He crawled under my home and within minutes, confirmed where the smell was coming from and told me how it would need to be fixed. I set the appointment and he was back in two days from the original call and fixed the issue within an hour. I have their number now locked in my personal cell to use them for ALL FUTURE PLUMBING ISSUES. Cliff was my technician and he is awesome!
