This exposed me to a completely new and very positive experience. By my second appointment, Nathan had manufactured a test socket for me to try. When I left his office a couple hours later I was stunned I could walk to my car and have continued walking easily with this incredible socket! Prior to my Limb Craft appointment, the standard timelines I'd experienced over 2 decades for a new prosthetic socket averaged 2 weekly appointments of 4-6 hours for 2-6 months or longer. Consequently, many of my fellow amputees and I were affected by the exhausting long timelines; therefore, we'd delay the process and continue to struggle using ill-fitting and painful prosthetic devices which quashed our mobility and reduced independence.
