The weather is REALLY hot; so why not take a FREE trolley to your hotel, museum or restaurant? Locate any of the twenty route stops by the electric aqua blue metal park benches with a brightly colored umbrella. Do I got your attention? Trolleys seem to come every 15 to 20 minutes. Really, how cool is that? Make your first stop the Welcome Center located at the FREE fort...and be apprised of the hidden gems. (There are many) The Welcome Center staff couldn't have been friendlier, in our experience yesterday, and truly provided great advice on places to check out for eats, sites to see and explore. By the way the trolley stops at 6 pm weekdays and the SPECIAL NOTE is on Friday night at 6 pm weekly, the streets close for a rolled into one: arts, gallery and pub crawl. Lots of foot traffic and really neat. Come aboard the MODA! and explore Mobile's new scene.

When we called the operator again and asked her to radio the trolley driver to see where she currently was and to find out her location and what the problem was regarding the hold-up, she explained that she did not have the ability to radio nor call the trolley driver to find out it's whereabouts! When the trolley finally arrived an hour later, the trolley was empty and she explained that it is "at her discretion" whether she stops at each individual stop or not!!!! She did NOT follow the trolley route that she is ASSIGNED TO!!! The trolley should have come by seaside at least 3 or 4 times while we waited for a whole hour! This service is absolutely TERRIBLE and straight up UNRELIABLE! If you are debating waiting at a trolley stop hoping for it to "roll by at any minute" as the operator stated, don't get your hopes up! YOU HAVE BETTER LUCK CALLING A CAB! I only wish I could rate this ZERO STARS, as it does not deserve even one star.

I love the fact that it stays on time, it is very reliable and that is important to me. The drivers are always polite and friendly to the riders, making sure that the ride on the trolley is always enjoyable. In a day and age when customer service is gone, it's nice to see the operators of this trolley treat everyone in such a nice way. It is really a fantastic attraction all on its own, very elegant to look at from the outside and the inside is spectacular as well but it also passes by and stops at so many great 30A destinations! It also has a TV inside so if you are visiting the area you will be able to see all of the fun things to do in the area... especially when you are looking for something different to enjoy other than just the beach. The service is NOT getting better...I've been "forgotten" at my Doctor;s office three times, Monday…read more= three calls to the dispatch were put on hold and "forgotten" and the person said she had "forgotten what she was doing." The "add on" ride that finally picked me up went to Navarre first and I live in Fort Walton Beach! Apparently when someone is "forgotten" there are no provisions for discovering the error and sending an alternative ride, you are simply on your own to figure out that you have gone off the radar. For disabled people this could be dangerous and possibly life threatening! The fare system is for the convenience of the transit company, drivers do not carry tickets or cash and you cannot write a check for under $10 so you must have exact fare, a problem for people who cannot go to get change, that's why they are riding the bus. I was told the reason was bouncing checks so why can you write on for OVER $10? And you cannot reserve a ride more than one week in advance and then when you have your Doctor's appointment time and call a week before you are told the time is not available This company is extremely disorganized and lacking in service to the handicapped and elderly and needs to be looked into by someone with the skill to solve it's management problem. Where do we go to get this looked into?

The hours of operation are slim with lots of stipulations. Anyone relying on transportation for work would have to coordinate their schedule with the availability of the operating hours, usually 10am to 6pm. Unfortunately even then it's not always reliable. I wish there was more funding for the bus system here. Taxis are outrageously overpriced and uber isn't that much cheaper unless you're splitting it with a few other people. Also uber charges double the rate on busy days. Unfortunate.

The employees and or bus drivers assume you're familiar with the whole luggage situation and tend to get a little hostile when questioned.
