This room was very gimmicky and not fun. the professor in the room was a distraction and added little to the experience.

We had a team of four, and for a room rated 7/10 difficulty, it provided a great balance of challenge and fun. The puzzles were engaging, required teamwork, and kept us thinking throughout the entire game without ever feeling frustrating. What really set this experience apart was the immersion. Our game host, Sophia, was fantastic. From the moment she greeted us, she was completely in character and stayed that way as she guided us into the experience. Instead of the typical pre-recorded video that many escape room companies use to explain the rules and backstory, Sophia personally led us to a briefing with The Architect. Having a real person, fully committed to the role, deliver the story and set the stage added a level of excitement and authenticity that immediately pulled us into the world of the game. We made it out without needing any clues and even earned spots on both the weekly and monthly leaderboards, which made the experience even more rewarding. The attention to detail was impressive, and that live introduction made a huge difference. It felt less like a standard escape room and more like stepping into an interactive adventure. If you're looking for an immersive escape room experience in the Bethesda area, I highly recommend The Black Widow at Encrypted Escape. Huge shoutout to Sophia for making an already great room even more memorable.

The kids found it very challenging, but it kept them totally hooked for the full hour. Immersive Decor: The rooms are beautifully decorated and felt truly magical--it really pulls you into the story. Amazing Staff: Our host, Aliyah, was incredibly kind and patient. They explained everything clearly and were happy to provide 'endless hints' (which we definitely used!) to keep the momentum going. Convenient Amenities: They provide lockers to store your purse, cell phone, and coats, so you don't have to worry about your belongings while you're playing. Would return again if there is a special!

My son and his cousins and his friend had a blast playing the games for 90 minutes. We have been to other VR Arcades in the past, on the west coast and I have to say this one was the best. All us adults can't wait to go without the kids! lol! Perfect place for a date too! Fight Zombies or relax on the beach or take an underwater dive in the ocean and see beautiful jellyfish surrounding you! They had an awesome selection of games and tons of them! It was magical and I literally can't wait to go back. The staff was awesome! Will emailed me later letting us know my niece forgot her eyeglasses there, how awesome is that!? So many people would have just tossed them or not taken the time to email anyone. I was impressed by his patience and professionalism dealing with 3 teens and 1 8 year old who were a bit needy. They have escape rooms too and one was a Stranger Things Themed room! It was awesome!! Go to VR Zone if you want a cool, unique experience.

The games also don't really have good tutorials when you start them, so it took some time to figure how to properly play most of them. It's about $50 per person for an hour of game time, which seems a bit excessive for what you get. It's a cool experience to try once but not sure I'd do it again for the same price.

The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. We were actually about 5 minutes late and rushed there, but instead of making us feel stressed, they kindly told us to take our time and not worry about rushing. Note that the last check in is at 11:00pm on the weekend (at least that's what they said via phone call). They almost didn't let us in but we mentioned that we were the ones on the phone. After we all checked in, we explored each of the room. Some were super difficult, some were "easy". Each room lets you know if it's more physical, mental, or team work/ communication. Because each room is timed, I felt like I was in squid game without the gore and anxiety from pending doom. It's a great concept, especially if you go with an entertaining group looking for a fun time.
