After having a friend tell me about Pure and how they love it I was excited to try it out. The stylist who I went to did a good job on my hair and I was really pleased with it. However, I struggled with the conversation. My regular hair stylist and I have great conversation and it goes back and forth. The stylist here mostly talked about herself. I don't want to mostly talk about myself either, but you need balance in a conversation to be enjoyable if you know what I mean. If I'm going to be sitting in a seat for 2+ hours getting my hair done I want good conversation. The prices are higher here than my normal salon I go to. Not sure if they set their own prices individually, but considering the stylist I went to was somewhat fresh out of hair school I don't think it was worth the price since my regular hair stylist does a great job, more experienced and slightly lesser prices. I asked her to give me as hard pressure of a massage as possible (since "hard pressure" at a lot of other places is fairly weak) and it was better than any other massage I've ever had. She put a ton of pressure on my legs, possibly puting more effort into the massage than I put into my race, and to the point that I actually had to ask her to put less pressure. Despite that pressure, her massage was also extremely consistent, and I could tell she was really well practiced. She also spent extra time on my neck when I requested it. Outside of being a perfect post-run massage, the place was very clean and organized, and the front desk lady was extremely hospitable, and is definitely now my go to massage place.

They serve alcohol but the only snacks they had were wafer straws and trail mix. For a day at the spa, not having carbs or protein while consuming alcohol can make someone feel - not so good. It was also really hot. There was an elderly woman that worked there that was complaining it was, "too cold". I wonder if she was the one turning the heat on? I wanted to enjoy the really soft robe and heated table during my massage but I was sweating and uncomfortable. Not only that but my there was a clock in the massage room. My massage started late (noting from the moment they came and got me from the quiet room. I didn't clock the exact time it started since I was face down) and ended 7 minutes before the hour was up. There were also a list of face and skin products listed in their menu. When I went to go check out, they had NONE of the listed products I intended on buying. I'm a spa goer so this atmosphere felt like the person that opened it either has no experience in spas or they're just not thinking of the guest experience. They're new so maybe they're getting the hang of things. Friendly staff!
