This was my first time at this salon. I originally had my nails done at a different salon, but came here for a fill because I couldn't get back to the original one. Before coming in, I checked the website, which listed a regular fill as $20. I asked for a basic fill and got the same type of service I've always had. Nothing was explained to me as being different or upgraded. When I went to check out, I was charged $40. When I questioned the price, I was told it was because of "powder," which was never discussed during the service and is what I've always had on my nails. Later, when I called for clarification, I was told the price difference was actually because the online prices haven't been updated -- which directly contradicts what I was told in the salon. During the service, I also had to ask the technician multiple times to file underneath my nails. My natural nails are yellow, broken, and in poor condition, and I specifically asked for them to be cleaned properly. The technician became visibly annoyed, sighed, rushed the service, and still did not do it correctly. I left feeling uncomfortable and unhappy with both the service and the lack of transparency. To start things off I wanted my nails longer. I was told that they were too long yet I'm wearing them on my hands pretty sure it's by my request. And these are probably the shortest nails I've ever had on my hands. The nail art was DECENT until the second coat and it now looks like a fifth grader drew on my hand. I tried to ask for art in certain places to cover up mistakes that I pointed out and was told that "it was fine the first time".... After it was redone a couple of times obviously not by my mistake. After they noticed, I was upset and wouldn't listen to my request so I just shut my mouth after every question proceeded to tell me that they were tired and they do this every day. I don't know if that was an excuse or they just wanted to let me know that they weren't trying their best, which I think should not be acceptable. Every employee was sweet. I don't knock their service. I just wish that my request would have been dealt with or that I just walked away a little bit satisfied. And both of those things were not a possibility. read more

Not the best experience here but not the worst... I won't be back. I came in with a friend after calling ahead and we were both seated quickly. I saw online that there was a deluxe manicure for 5 dollars more so i asked for that (I assumed it meant like more nail cleaning or something idk). However, they seemed confused when i asked for this and the staff talked amongst themselves without saying anything back to me. I said that it was okay if they didn't have that, but was a little lost as they didn't really answer if that was an available option. The guy who did my nails was also a bit abrasive (kept yanking my arms, pressured me into doing gel after i already said no twice, and also just didn't do a great job on my nails). My nails weren't painted at the tips and he filed off a lot more than i wanted (I did say at the beginning that i really didn't want any length taken off). At the end, I ended up paying more than my friend even though we had the same service (we were seated next to each other). I've been visiting this area about once a month for a year. I go to different salons a lot, depending on a few things: If I can make it to the place with enough time before closing time, if they accept CCs, they accept walk-ins, & I also rely heavily on Yelp reviews. I'll accept 3 stars if I'm in a crunch, and really need to get my nails done prior to getting home for the weekend, but I'd prefer at least 4 Star salons. I left work one day in a hurry to get to my hotel to grab my flip flops so I can make it to a salon in time. Scrolling through reviews frantically looking for the ones that weren't closing within the hour. This one happen to be closing in 55 minutes however it was only .5 miles away so I decided to give it a shot. I've been to plenty of Salons, where one nail tech works on your manicure while another works on your pedicure so you can be in and outa there in an hour. I wasn't really sure what to expect here and was hoping they'd take me with only less than an hour before closing. I was thrilled when I walked in and the man who greeted me said I could get my nails done. There were several people in the waiting area, who'd already finished up, that belonged to a wedding party. he spoke perfect English, so he understood what I wanted. In fact, the place was family owned and operated and everyone spoke and understood English perfectly! Everyone who worked there was conversing with their clients while doing their nails. I was offered drinks (even mimosas!) from several different people. I received 5 star service despite being there an hour past closing time. My nails are stunning. One of the owners told me to be sure to stop in the next time I'm in town... even if not to have my nails done, but just to have a Mimosa with them! Everyone was jus so nice and personable and the service was excellent. This will be my go to nail salon when I return to the area. I recommend maki g an appointment. After reading dozens of good reviews about this shop, I decided to try it out for the first time. I wanted my fake nails removed and get gel put on. Instead of them soaking my acrylics off, the guy just RIPPED them off my nails!! If I wanted that to happen, I would have stayed home and done that myself! He didn't care that he tore off my natural nails alone with the fake tips. Then the owner had the audacity to ask me to pay! I left and am never going back. I am visiting a friend that lives in Bentonville and said I needed a mani pedi she said she didn't have a special go to place so we came across The Nail Shop! SO happy we did. First, I consider myself somewhat of a nail salon snob and have hit nail salons from Tokyo to New York and this by far was the best. Aside from the immaculate salon The Nail Shop has top of the line chairs. I was lucky enough to get Lori she gave me the best lavender Pedi I've ever had. She is also an expert on dips. She offered me 1000 colors to pick from. My daughter and her friend also had dips and pedis their nails looked amazing and everyone took the BEST care of us. I love walking in this shop because it is always very clean and organized. I was greeted and seated immediately and the tech was very accommodating- he brought everything I needed including soda (complimentary!), water, nail color choices, etc. to me instead of making me gather everything. The tech did a good job on my nails, I didn't feel like he was rushing which I appreciated. The tech was polite nice and talked to me but not too excessively. I also noticed their schedule system is computerized and includes a simple reward system for repeat customers, which is nice compared to just penciling my name into a book. My daughter went there to have them remove her dip nails and just do a regular mani with clear polished. She told they she wanted them to soak them to take the nails off. The guy used a nail clipper cutting them down very short and then used the metal part to peel them off. After the first one my daughter said no I want them soaked to remove. Pretty bad. The technician did not do anything to moisturize my hands or my nails at any point in the manicure. I still have skin flaking all around the edges and where the paint meets the skin does not make an even line Even after I sat and let my pedicure dry for a very long time, and it was sprayed with the finishing spray, when I got home it had smeared all over the inside of my shoes and my big toes are all messed up. I would not go to this place again. There is nothing special about it and the quality of the work is pretty bad. My technician was clearly under-experienced. They also have really bad ventilation, when you enter the fumes are overwhelming and I don't think it can be good for you to sit in that space. They did offer me a dream, which I appreciate and in general it was pretty quiet and you were able to do your own thing. But I just don't see any reason to come here over anywhere else, especially when leaving with a satisfactory manicure and pedicure is the whole point. read more
