I've always been a huge fan of games like Myst or the recent "The Room" puzzle series on iOS. This is basically that, but in real life! My wife and I went with some friends from work and we had an absolute blast! The puzzles are incredibly smart, but not too crazy that you can't work through them. There were some really cool surprises that I won't spoil here. My wife and I are only in town a few more days, but we're very tempted to try out one of the other rooms before we go. We went to Escape Hour Austin to do the Christmas Unrembered with our visiting Granddaughters ages 11 and 15. They thoroughly enjoyed it and did pretty good with lots of clues. My husband and I were terrible at it but it was a blast watching them and trying to help. The rooms are decorated so well and the puzzles are really well thought out and challenging. I highly recommend this for groups of family and friends. read more

They give as many clues as you ask for, well thought out, they're very creative and everyone works there is so friendly! Had an awesome time with the wife for our date night. As retired Navy Sailors we enjoyed Dead Man's Cove, I'm a huge fan of pirates. My wife and I finished the room, in just a tad bit over an hour. The talking parrot was great and extremely helpful. Chad did an awesome job of explaining the nuances of the room and helping us out when needed, those darn books!! I have been to this location twice, both during COVID, and both have been amazing experiences. Booking is super easy and the website is always accurate as to what is available. The staff is very welcoming upon arrival and the establishment is clean. If you complete the waivers ahead of time you start your experience at the exact time you booked it for. By far my favorite part and why I will always come back to this location is the booking are always private. You will only be placed with the people in your booking and no one extra or another party. Clues are unlimited and they even correct you if they hear you say something wrong (trust me, from experience). Next time you're in Austin, take a stop by. My friends and I love it. read more

I came with team Debauchery and we did the Lab Rats room! Oh wow was it a blast! It felt like the perfect amount of difficulty, which based on our 3 minutes to spare after solving, is about right. We had 11 people, but I would recommend going with a multiple of 3 since you split into 3 groups working collaboratively to solve the puzzle. I hope to come back for another room! read more

Far too many glitches and far too expensive to be worth trying this place. We have done many escape rooms and this location had the potential to be amazing. The ambience and story lines would be great but they get lost with glitches. I have done 4 escape rooms at this location hoping it was just a fluke. It's clear they don't put time into maintaining and making sure the puzzles work. In the manor, the projector never lit up and I was told they have been having problems with that room. Of course, no discount or return was offered and we were understanding. In the call of ancients a drawer never opened and the final key never worked to unlock but they could see it was a lock problem so we solved. I am not complaining because they were too hard. They were aptly challenging and we solved 2 out of the 3 rooms. I gave them one final try with lab rats and their was glitch after glitch. Multiple puzzles we solved but mechanism to open wouldn't work or we had to turn things on and off to get them to work again or parts weren't visible even though we had solved that puzzle. Ridiculous. They did give us more time because of the trouble but then upon completion let us know that no discount would be provided and that others don't struggle. They thanked us for our feedback. Extremely dissatisfied and close to $500 wasted. read more

We've done about 30 escape rooms and really love them. This was our first one since Covid. All of our concerns were immediately addressed and put to rest. They had plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the lobby and prior to entering the rooms. They Told us each room is a private booking and that they are sanitized between bookings. They have UV light treatments for the rooms and even had UV light sanitizers for our phones while we played. We booked "The Manor" The game host was named Tam and she was great, answered all our questions and gave us just the right amount of clues. The room was very intuitive and the puzzles were challenging and fun. Great production and immersive room. We brought 2 other couples who had never done an escape room before and they were hooked. They have a total of 5 rooms and we are already planning our next one. Would definitely return. Overall a great experience and "Escape" from the real world. read more

My husband and I are escape room enthusiasts, but wanted a room for our beginner-level friend, so gave the Pirate room a try. I was incredibly impressed with the interactive technology used in the room. They could have just decorated the room to look like a ship interior, but they took it to the next level with some neat tricks. It was clearly inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland and I loved the whole design. However, I have two complaints: 1. Part of the authentic atmosphere included a room temperature intentionally set around 80 degrees. Personally, I think this is a feature the host should ask players if they want on or off. I tend to like warmer temps, but when your adrenaline is racing and you're bumping shoulders with 4-6 people in close quarters...well, my companions understandably got a bit cranky from all the sweating. 2. Our host was far too generous with hint giving. Any time we spent more than a minute or two on a puzzle, he'd chime in with hints. This was totally unnecessary, as proven by our escape with 35 minutes left on the clock. Truly, this room would have been more of an intermediate level if we'd just been allowed some downtime to mull things over ourselves. The excessive hints also meant that we tore through the room at breakneck speed, unfortunately leaving our poor newbie friend bewildered and asking "wait, what are we doing now????". It would have been nice to feel like we could slow down and let her help with puzzling some stuff out. BUT all that being said, we had a great time and it was a great experience. It would have been nice to have a timer in the room to keep track of our progress, but in this case, it wasn't necessary since we made such quick work of the room. Definitely recommend, but experienced escapers should request minimal hints in order to really savor the puzzles. read more

We just finished trying to break out of The Crypt! It was awesome! There were three of us, and if my son hadn't bragged that he broke out of his last escape room in 30 mins, we probably would have started asking for clues or help way sooner as it was, we didn't finish, they said we made it about 60% of the way through. 100 percent recommend- great clues, well kept, good to have more than one type of brain in there, and at least one person with working knees very fun for a multiple age experience. Some things were clear to the oldie (me) and some things that I never would have gotten, the TikTok generation (14-15) got right away hahahah. We all want to go back and go figure out the rest of it! When we got to the last 10 mins we were asking for clues left and right in Panic mode. Definitely don't sleep on a clue if you're clueless (and you WANT to finish). The voice actors were great. I know you can't but I wish I could have taped these two guys doing all the things. Great memories! read more
