What a great experience! There's a boat ride to the zipline start. A bit of hiking to each point but the guides knew exactly where to stop for breaks. Mostly tree covered. I felt a bit nervous the first zipline but the guides set me at ease. They were a great vibe. Even the guides that weren't with us were positive engaging and inclusive. Expect to carry your pulley and water bottles on your belt while hiking up. Best to grab a bit before or bring a snack with you there isn't a place onsite for a meal. They provide cold water at most zipline points. For all ages, solo, couple or with a group. Maybe have the younger ones experience a smaller one first to know what they are getting into. The only thing missing was MUSIC. Hard to please all so I understand why they don't do, so I just put an earbud in and jammed on my ziplines. If I go again, it would be for my kids or visitors to experience.

I've been Ziplining before , I enjoyed our time so much I bought the expierence for my siblings for christmas! Last time we had Meriem and another gentleman as our guide and had a great experience, this time we had Tyler and Grace and they were just as great! All the guides i've met are kind and funny and super helpful along the way! This time around I learned about the full moon zips and I think i'll be back to check it out! We did the 5 zip package which lasts around 3 hours! Theres some hiking between and water provided along the way- make sure you wear comfy clothes and good shoes- and for my long haired friends a low pony or bun works best! 10/10 recommend checking out LTZA for a weekend adventure or special occasion.

Second to the last line (not the tallest!)

Absolutely awesome experience! I have zip lined before elsewhere in Texas. This place blows that one out of the water! Our guides, Eli and Carmen were super friendly and fun to talk to. The lines start small and short and work their way up to the tallest and longest in Texas! It was such a thrill! There is a pretty strenuous hike between a few of the lines, but they provide plenty of water that straps into your harness. It's such a good time, I can't wait to go back- I've already told all my friends!

I had such a wonderful experience! Our tour guides, Bart and Lani, were phenomenal. They were friendly and made the experience so fun. We started off at the bunny slopes and did a total of around 4-5 zip lines. The views were amazing. I'd Be prepared for a bit of a hike, but nothing unmanageable. If you want pictures, make sure to bring your phone in a little fanny pack because they charge for the pictures they take of you. I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Came here for a Yelp Elite event this weekend, and boy was it an amazing experience! Three hours, Five total zip lines (with the final one being a two-person race), complimentary cold water throughout the tour. Absolutely amazing time. Our tour guides- Josie and Harrison-were phenomenal, full of positive energy, and Kelly the vibe going. What an amazing adventure, absolutely recommend and go again if afforded the opportunity!

Such a fun and memorable experience from start to finish. At first it feels a little intimidating, but once you go on the first zipline, it quickly turns into excitement. What I really liked is that it's not just one ride. There are multiple ziplines with different speeds and levels, so the experience builds and never feels repetitive. By the end, you actually start enjoying the faster ones. Be prepared for a real hike between platforms. It's not just a short walk, it's a proper uphill hike in some parts. Honestly, it felt like great cardio combined with something genuinely fun. The guides were amazing. Super friendly, funny, and very attentive. They explain everything clearly, keep the atmosphere relaxed, and make you feel safe the entire time. They also provide plenty of water, which was a big plus. There are many stops along the way where you can grab water, and it's all included. A couple of tips: definitely wear sunscreen, SPF is a must, and a hat will make a big difference, especially during the hike. Overall, everything was very well organized and smooth. We had an amazing time and would absolutely do it again.

I had no idea that this place existed so when I found it on yelp, we had to go! From New Braunfels, it took us roughly 2 hours to get here for a 9 AM tour. I am so glad we booked an early tour because it was not too hot out and by the time or tour ended it was around noon and the sun was already blazing. I realize that on their website it states that there is roughly a mile or so hike up to the lines but what I didn't realize...it is literally hiking up the side of the mountain and some areas are pretty steep. You'll definitely need some decent shoes and apply some bug spray before hand. It is not a incredibly difficult trek up and if you're even minimally in shape, I think you'll be okay, just take frequent breaks and hydrate starting at least a few days before - you will quickly sweat it all out. They do offer a water for free on your tour and recommend that you consistently sip at it. The only real downside of this is once you begin the tour they have literally no bathrooms for about 3 or 3 1/2 hours. The zip lines were super fun and it was pretty cool to be able to go over parts of the water and see the lake from that perspective. Everything was in great condition and seemed very safe. Our guides (two young ladies who's names are escaping me at the moment) were awesome and I could tell they really enjoyed their work. They do have a couple of hammocks, cornhole and down by the lake there are some chairs overlooking the water which is very relaxing! I read on their website that you can swim in the lake but down by the boat dock there is a sign saying risk of shock so not sure where you would swim, and I did not get in the water. They also have a gift shop and offer to take your photo throughout the experience. You can purchase all of them for about $40 I believe. You can have the pictures emailed to you for review and purchase if you don't want to wait around there. However they will email you everyones pictures in a bundle and that is a bit of a pain to look through on a cell phone. Overall, I would definitely recommend Lake Travis Zip Line Adventures and hope to be back to try the night tour!

Josie and Hans were the best guides!! They kept us entertained and laughing the entire time. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back.

Enjoyed my experience ziplining with LTZA on a Saturday morning. Megan and Travis were the best guides. Beautiful scenery, fun group we went on the tour with. 5 ziplines in total, longest ones were 1800 and 2000+ ft. Little bit of steep hikes, but you can take your breaks.

Travis and Michael, our tour guides!

A wonderful experience with Travis and Michael! These two tour guides were not only hilarious, but were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions as first time zip liners. We went on the three hour tour, and it was worth it for sure! The 6:00PM tour with the sunset was magical and a must do! I would certainly my recommend this experience!

This was such an amazing experience (especially this being my first time). Miriam and KC were a blast. I loved how they provided instructions, demonstrations, and took plenty of photos for us. Checking in was an easy process and we completed the waivers online beforehand. They have activities for you to enjoy before the tour shift begins such as corn hole, hammocks and tetherball. The boat ride across the lake was an added plus and enjoyable. I really like how they start you off small and then build you to the biggest one at the end. The hiking was fun. I will definitely be coming back!!

What an amazing experience at Lake Travis Zipline Adventures! Loved our time there! First, our guides were fantastic. Grace and Bart are a ton of fun. Their energy and smiles were infectious. Secondly, riding on the Ziplines with views of Lake Austin was breathtaking and exhilarating. There's a little bit of hiking needed to get to the platforms, but we actually didn't mind it. They took great pictures of us throughout the experience and gave us inspiration for poses. You can take pictures on your own, but the tour guides will also take pictures of you. Lastly, I loved the final stop where you get to have a beautiful view of Lake Travis while enjoying snacks and drinks. Overall, it was a great experience and we're looking forward to coming back with more friends next time.

My favorite part of the zipline adventure was being able to see the sparkling water and turtles as I was flying in the air! Others have already mentioned this but make sure you understand it's a moderate hike. They provide plenty of instructions, cold water, etc. I highly recommend the experience here with the staff. Super fun and helpful.

Ask the Community - Lake Travis Zipline Adventures

If you weigh 255 to 260 pounds would you be rejected?

Hi Kim, Unfortunately we do have a strict weight limit of 250 pounds maximum. Sorry about that!

Can a person in a wheelchair do this? Are the decks accessible or would someone have to carry you up stairs?

No you have to hike up there.

Do you have gift certificates available (where the recipients can schedule their own date & time)?

Absolutely! Once you purchase a gift card from our website, you will receive a digital gift card code that never expires. The recipient will pick any date and time available and use that gift card code to complete the purchase at checkout.

I have a 9 year old. Can he do the Zipline?

Their FAQ only states that they need to be at least 70 pounds and does not mention age at all

When is the best time to do tour in the summer? Do you have time to swim in the lake afterwards?

Probably early summer before it gets too hot. But either way there is plenty of shade in between and once you're on the Zipline you really forget about the heat. It depends on when you book your zip lining but they do open the lake to you for the…

Can someone tell me how much the pictures they take cost? Trying to prepare myself

I believe they are roughly $15. They will also take a lot of pictures with your own cameras if you allow them.

Does anyone know if they have lockers to lock your stuff up during the tour? Thanks!

Yes they are small but come included in the price that you pay.

Since I'm also afraid of heights, ropes courses are a good way to get a dose of this. The Georgetown Challenge Course is designed for team-building exercises, so you can't just go by yourself and have fun, unfortunately. But it's a great place to go for corporate, club or team events. I went in February with about 15 people from Hill Country Outdoors, an outdoors, sports and social club. We started the morning doing some silly but surprisingly fun games on the ground. Then, we got to the good stuff. There's a large number of activities that you can do here, from climbing up a pole to crossing high wires or logs... there's actually more than you can do in a day (you talk over the activities when you book, but can change them during the day). All are safe, as you are belayed, but also scary, since they're up high. I think I had fun, as I'd go back, but whenever I do these things I'm always asking myself why I thought it was a good idea, it's never fun until it's over. The downside to this place is that you are actively belayed, it's not like the Cypress Canopy challenge course where you're always hooked in and can do stuff yourself. That's also a plus if you're actually doing a team-building exercise, of course. None of the activities require you to be in super shape... if you can climb a ladder, you can do pretty much anything here. Though you may not really want to ;) If you're looking for something different to do, get a group together and try this place!

The major, and I mean major things was it was not crowded! Which was a huge relief for spring break and the crowds we dealt with every where else we went. The second MAJOR plus! The food was actually really good! You don't hear that much about amusement parks! If the family says they would eat it served anywhere else, then it's good! I recommend the family pack with food! Ok so value wise, you can look at it in two ways. The perks could outweigh the seeming thought of overpaying. It's waaaaaay cheaper than seaworld, or six flags. I can see it being worth more value if the water park section was opened. For right now, the fact the kiddos and even the misses could ride all day, and no long lines, make this a win for us. There are no token to buy, just all day wristbands. Yes the video games for the most part are dated. It's also not a huge park. There are four major rides outside. My family said the rollercoaster was a lot more violent and faster than they thought it would be. They were split whether they liked it or not. They also all loved the go kart attraction. We almost missed a small section in the inside towards the back. They had a bungee trampoline, a small rock wall, and a flight simulator! The family all enjoyed the flight simulator! It made for lots of laughs. They did have a playground and ball area for the smaller kids which we did not explore. Again, this is not a major theme park, but more like a light version with less crowds! We are coming back! The only negatives for us, the distance from where we live, the dated video game rides, and the water park being closed. It's not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive. Hope that makes sense. It's almost like it was worth it to us because we were already driving back into town. That's pretty much it...
