I undoubtedly believe that escape rooms are a team sport. We came here for a private event and I have to say, this was one of the most challenging and fulfilling escape rooms I've experienced. The theme was a space mission and our large group were spilt into two smaller groups with different tasks. The commitment to the theme was evident in all the details and props. The little launch simulators were very exciting and we really felt like we had to succeed. It was a novel set up compared to the traditional "escape" rooms of the past. I will say it was a higher difficulty room and finishing in time is a worthy effort. The staff were kind and helpful and even took pictures for us at the end. read more

Staff was very helpful. There was a system error with their booking system that showed inaccuracy with date selected vs actual date booked and they helped to resolve it. The OK experience was within the Escape rooms itself. Very mediocre experience and not very immersive. The game we selected just didnt make us feel like we traveled to a foreign place. Clues were not hidden away tactfully. Some clues were just thrown on the floor. When you solved a puzzle, there was an unlocking sound on the speaker which is not very helpful with knowing what items unlocked - Took away from the immersive part. Some of the sensors weren't even working so we were lost on what was supposed to happen next. Had to tell our game master a couple of times. Things were falling apart as well. Even with all the time lost on malfunctioning pieces, we beat it with a lot of time to spare so not very challenging. read more

Set up this 14 person Gameshow event for my girlfriends birthday. We all dressed up in our most ridiculous costumes. We bought their BYOB tickets through their website. Very easy process. The staff was fun and helped make the event great for everyone. It legit felt like we were on The Price Is Right or Family Feud. read more

We always have a great time here! The rooms are so well thought out and the game masters are great to interact with. Our favorite room in Houston is here - the NASA room!! It is the only room we have done where we BARELY escaped with seconds left on the clock. It was so much fun and required legit team work. Their new Game Room series is also so unique and an amazing addition to their rooms!! They have two different rooms, one for smaller groups (10-12 people) and a bigger one for up to 30 people!! I'd love to get a big group together to try the bigger room. We did the smaller room for a family event and had such a great time. read more

First the door to the room wouldn't even close all the way. Some of the clues didn't work properly and then our game master decision come in to ask if we actually solved a clue or if it was already open. I guess this was because we were making such good time. we tried for a week to book a room; emails, phone calls, even social media accounts. the first phone call had an employee that said we have to do everything online and if it's not working then wait until it does. by the third phone call I was told the room is under construction even thought I can see online that someone else had booked the same room for the week we were trying to. The game masters also enhance the experience! Jess has been our game master twice now and we love having her as our game master - she only enhances the fun. This is the most immersive, intricate escape room I have ever done. Last Saturday, a group of us tried to escape the Apollo 13 room; we weren't successful, but we had a blast doing so! We had 9 people in our group, which was probably 1 or 2 too many, but everyone still had a good time. The props in the room were very detailed and there are several different room stages to go through, which is unique and makes the whole experience a lot more exciting. If you are an escape room fan, I cannot recommend this location high enough and I cannot wait to come back to do more! They provide lockers for free for you to lock your things in while you are in the room, so one less thing to worry about! You are also within walking distance to Midtown bars and restaurants, so it is easy to make a whole outing around the escape room. read more

Eh. I did the Theft of the Lone Star game and didn't love it. The production values were low, there's not much of a storyline, and some of the puzzles were hard for the wrong reasons -- stuff that's hard to read or requires sort of just guessing at what they're thinking. I've done a ton of escape games and this one is unfortunately near the bottom of the list. The staff was nice though. read more

Been to 20+ rooms and the samurai room must be the worst ever. No flow between the clues. Room was random and dark so could not see the symbols. Have to lay down on the floor to see one club. Ridiculous. This is our 2nd time at Escape Hunt. Would not recommend this place. read more

I'm celebrating my 43rd birthday with my two best girlfriends from my various walks of life, and we chose to do the Alice in Puzzleland together to celebrate my crazy life. We've become fans of escape rooms, and this was the third one we've done together as well as the third one we'd EVER done. Our first one was a disaster - not here, at a completely different place - with a broken game with bad puzzles and limited clues that weren't nearly enough. The second one we won with 30 seconds to spare and were so dang proud of ourselves! This one was really cool because we all had pretty deep fandom knowledge of Alice in Wonderland, and we worked together to solve all the puzzles and open all the secret stuff (the puzzles themselves worked flawlessly, by the way. There were some lighting issues and a potential hazard that we reported, but the experience was MUCH smoother than we had other places), and Crow was our awesome guide. He was patient with us, guided us when we tried to brute force (strategy, not actual force) a puzzle, but didn't give us information we didn't need or ask for. His timely advice made our escape room experience all that much smoother, and we solved it with 8 minutes to spare, so thanks, Crow! This is my 3rd escape room I have done and I finally escaped. The owners were very nice and friendly. It was hard to find the parking but they gave good directions on how to find the parking. It's even better that it's compensated parking in a garage. The room we did was a murder mystery and it was a good story line. The clues and advice they gave were very helpful. I manage the internship program for my organization and for a farewell event we went to Escape Houston. I had a group of 35 people, they were able to host us very comfortably. They split us up into four rooms, one room was for a group who has done an escape room before. The owner and his wife were great host, exceptional customer service and exceeded my expectations for my event. It really shows that they love what they do and want to make sure you have a great time. There facility has multiple rooms and is large to host any size group. I highly recommend this to anyone, regardless of the size of your group! read more

Family of 6 today. This is our 5th escape room in Houston and so far the WORST. We did Mystery in the mansion. First of all the website says it insta 1h15min and they only gave us 1h. The man at the door barely explained with a monotone tone like he wasn't happy to work there.... When asked for clues they took a longtime to deliver and normally in other rooms when the time is about to finish they provide extra info or help. At the end a lady came to open the door so we're not sure who was really monitoring our adventure at all. Finally dirty restrooms with no toilet paper... ww had to request it. Lots of money for a poor attention and services. We don't plan to come back to this location. read more

Game masters were talking on the phone barely paying attention, so when we needed a clue it was very unhelpful or just a bad clue. One of the best escape room experiences I've ever had! I've been to a few that were not much more than a spare room with a bunch of riddles inside. When you step into Escape Hunt, you're immediately greeted with the ambience of the Sherlock Holmes time period, antiques and all. The game room is appointed with all the detail in decor and theme-inspired puzzles that will completely immerse you in the fun! Dillon was happy to assist me with selecting the right experience to to help me propose to my fiancée. (One our first Dates was an escape room in Colorado.). He showed me enough to pull off the surprise without ruining the fun of the game for me. He helped position the ring in a great spot for discovery, and pause our time when she found it so we could enjoy completing the experience thereaf All went off without a hitch, and she has a great story to tell her friends and family about our engagement. Me and my friend did the Alice room. We finished right at the hour mark. It was nice that you get unlimited hints. The person who gave the hints did a great job with them, in giving the appropriate amount of instruction and not sounding dictatorial or condescending when he gave them, all in the voice of the Cheshire Cat over the loudspeaker. The room was fun and atmospheric with a lot of little things that automatically clicked open when you do something correct. Wasn't too hard, thanks to the hints of course. I love the set when you walk in. The whole setup is literally how it's like inside the rooms. Good for big groups, however each room only allows up to 6 people, which is lower and a bit more pricey than most other places (8). They have three different theme rooms to choose from. They're really fun and feels like you're in a RPG (role-playing games in a fictional setting). I recommend booking at least two days beforehand if you're coming with a large group (7+). Parking is also free for two hours inside the garage, so come on time! Overall, I will definitely come back with my friends! read more

Interesting escape room experience. Me and my partner have done escape rooms throughout Texas, over 30. We have done two rooms at this location, the Mansion Murder, and the Fourth Samurai. The first one we did, the mansion, was not memorable, and we left upset. The puzzles were not fun, they were more just busy work. There was an issue with one of the mechanisms in the room that did not work, and it stalled us for a while. The ending was extremely frustrating, and tedious. We ended up "escaping" however, it was just an employee coming in and awkwardly explaining that we got out. The room was also very cheap, and had a poor design. We finally decided to give it another chance, and really enjoyed our time! We did the Fourth Samurai, and liked the room much better. It was interactive, interesting, and had much more to do. I do feel as if it was on the easy side, especially if you had more than two people. We did have an enjoyable time, the only issue was that a puzzle in one of the rooms was broken, as it was already open when we got in there. Other than that, i'd recommend this game. The establishment itself is very nice, has great decor and fun lighting. Unfortunately the staff are very loudly rude to each other, or at least one of the employees is. With both rooms, we have been able to hear them loudly bickering or talking outside. It takes away from the game. All in all, i would give it two stars, but the decor inside is just too cute. read more

The Lone Star Theft was so fun! This is a completely immersive escape room experience, complete with secret passageways, running water, and even a stable! The puzzles were creative and the hints were very helpful. My two teenagers and I had such a great time and we can't wait to visit again. We had a bit of a hard time finding the place, as our directions took us to 125 Gray St (an empty lot) instead of West Gray St. Luckily, the two addresses are only separated by a couple blocks. This was my 83rd room. We did the murder mystery mansion room. Even though we didn't escape in the one hour, my sister and I really enjoyed doing this room. It was a tough room with great puzzles and I would highly recommend it to enthusiasts. Maybe get a couple of rooms under your belt if you're a newbie. read more

This was myself and my friends first time doing an Escape Room and let me tell you we had an absolute blast. The owners Jim and Jan were fabulous to deal with.
